Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
Can anyone recommend a herb that produces thick clouds when vaped? I have an EVO and just want something that has thick clouds; not looking for effects. Also preferably something that tastes good. I have looked into hops, mint, and peppermint but have yet to try or find a good source to buy them from.

Thanks in Advance!

Looking forward answers to this question...

Besides bud I've only tried Vapoherb Champala blend but didn't get too much vapor (190º using Solo). Flavor was not bad but doesn't suit me too well, reminds me of tea possibly due to chamomile. This are the ingredients of this blend:

Passionflower, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Lavender

Ordered the other two blends available from this brand, will tell if there's anything worth sharing. In case anyone is wondering about the effect it gave me a mild relaxed feeling, nice enough but nothing special.

Cheers

Hmm. On IGG page they posted this, I think from the beginning of the campaign but I wasn't around then:

Has anyone ever tried any of these? I was wondering if adding some peppermint to the mix might help with odor issues.

has anyone actually vaped any of these other things? i'm curious about the lavender and tangerine peel and coffee. Although, since the lowest temp the grasshopper can achieve now is 130, lavender is right out. This graphic was made back when the grasshopper would go down to 100C.

I have.

Chamomile by itself is super mellowing and gives you a small buzz.

Eucalyptus opens up your airways.

Mugwort combined with cannabis is euphoric.

Nettles is great for respiratory health.

Lemongrass with cannabis makes it significantly more euphoric. Lemon allows Thc to get through the blood brain barrier quicker, and reduces paranoia and racing heart.

I've never had that one, nor a fermented one, but I've had plenty of kanna. It's euphoric, though sometimes I get no effect at all. Best taken on an empty stomach. I think I do about 300mg.

do you always take it orally, or have you ever vaped it? i've only smoked it once before, a long time ago. how long do the effects last when taken orally?
i ordered the resin. i plan on vaping it up in an rda. i'll post an update if anyone's interested.

i've put in three sessions so far vaping kanna resin out of an rda.
i'm running a .6Ω wickless bucket coil, 24g kanthal, and i'm pulsing the button at about .25 second intervals for a total of about 5-8 seconds/hit. i first tried it on a regular coil with fc-2000 as wick, but the resin didn't want to stay on the coil; because firstly, it is pretty solid even when warm, and secondly, it expands quite a bit when heated. if, for example, i fill up my bucket coil halfway full, after every couple of hits, i have to pack it back down into the coil, as it expands enough to fill up the coil completely, and make a ~1/16" muffin top overflow. this is a pain in the ass. it goes on until the end of the load, at which point it combusts every time. you can, of course, load more before the point at which it combusts to avoid this.
conclusively, this is an okay way to vape it, in my opinion. in the comfort of my room, i'll keep doing it, because it beats smoking it, but this would be a major pain to do while out and about. convection is certainly the method by which it would be most effectively vaped.

How was the effect of that kanna resin for you?
i've been taking pretty low doses of it so far, but it's pleasant. i feel it first in my feet. it's like a slightly tingly, light, airy feeling. like a breath of fresh air under your skin. this is accompanied by an uplifting, happy feeling, psychologically. i was sitting there thinking, "i love vaping. i love this music. i love beer. i love this time of day. this is great." not necessarily what i would call a "buzz", at this level of intake; but it certainly has a very tangible effect. the taste is vaguely pleasant. smells a bit like some kind of food, or spice.

so far have vaped:

Calea Zacatechichi/dream herb - in my Plenty. Didn't really help me fall asleep or impact my dreams, but I have crappy sleep quality, all the time. I need to try some more as I have a big bag of this stuff.

White Sage - in my Plenty. Refreshing and cleared out my nose a bit, but nothing else significant.

Chamomile - in my Mighty. Taste was pretty good but didn't notice much effect. I did have a really bad case of the runs the next day, but I also had some sketchy baba ganoush before the vape, so that was probably the culprit. I think I prefer tea form, but I'll try in the vape a few more times.

have several more products incoming, and will report experiences as i go along.

kratom has been a long time fav, but i stick to the powdered form, so no vape report.

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Lemon Balm (Melissa Officinalis)
Temperature:2 / 142C (288F)
Main Properties:

Lemon balm relaxes the nervous system producing sleep. It is used for epilepsy, nerve disorders, insomnia, fainting, hysteria, migraine headaches, hypochondria and vertigo. It works simultaneously on the digestive system for intestinal maladies like stomach afflictions or flatulence. Lemon balm is also used for heat palpitations and has been found to increase blood circulation.

Abbreviated,
Lemongrass with cannabis makes it significantly more euphoric. Lemon allows Thc to get through the blood brain barrier quicker, and reduces paranoia and racing heart.

Bought 39 cents worth of Lemon Balm from my local Co-op. Used it once. meh. Left it in my EQ. Turned on my EQ a week later and accidentally had it set at 230C. Went to use it. Clouds!:o
It was effective at lowering my blood pressure which has been quite high recently, and the other medicinal effects seem to kick in too. I was definitely buzzed in some manner. It was quite similar to an MJ vape high. It could have simply woke up some old thc in the neurons or have been placebo. But I have been on a T-Break for 3 weeks now and welcomed it all the same.

Would like to anything more informative about lemon balm and vaporizing. Pros, cons, dangers, anything.

Been using TAZO's calm chamomile blend. Everything in it I've seen in vape threads somewhere except blackberry leaves. no luck finding anything on that.

Drank Kava Kava for years. Skeptical of vaping it, any thoughts on that?

Lemon balm and lemongrass are two different plants. Both contain terpenes that are also found in cannabis
Lemon balm contains linalool and lemongrass contains myrcene and limonene, among many others

I wouldn't vape kava personally. I'd stick to drinking it with lecithin (works much better

I have read claims that a mixture of lemon, lime, and lemongrass essential oil applied topically produced cannabis-like effects for a certain individual. But I'm pretty sure it was highly exaggerated or just completely false

@Reflexion, Sorry to get back so late. Busy weekend. The Lemon Balm I used definitely had an effect. I even avoided eating to lose that buzz. That intense. Wouldn't mind getting that to work again now there is some science behind it, from what you've been telling me. Vaping Kava seemed like a waste to me already but worth mentioning. Since I already use it from time to time. I even had the negative effects of O.D-ing and having that scale-y feeling. The Lemon balm seemed to take some of that away got me buzzed. I might have struck lightning once withthe Lemon balm. But I now want to go wider on the subject matter. Thanks to that experience and what you mentioned earlier.

You already seem that much more knowledgeable on the subject. Can you recommend a source for more information regarding terpenes or alternative medicine?

Did read a little more about lecithin from the WebMD site. How does this help with Kava? I found out from an owner of a Kava bar, that I have been doing it wrong all this time.
Keeping it in the fridge and using it later it better than opposed to preparing it just before usage. I knew years ago about the Polynesians. Plus one of the original Vanutu preparations of it. It was gross, But I knew stomach acids were essential in it being effective.

Someone had come up with kava dabs! But I need more info before, I would get mixed up with that. Will delve deeper in the other terpene related information. Thanks for the post.

@herbmeister - what is your method of preparation? So far I have had good results with mixing a gram of 30% Kavalactone extract powder, which yields a 300 mg dose of pure Kavalactones, with a little milk and tossing it down the hatch. I let it roll around in my mouth for a bit to get the numbing sensation. Am I missing anything? Is there anything I could be doing better? Thanks for the web resources . . . :peace:

I like Paradise Kava extracts:
http://paradisekava.com/Kava-Extracts-6th-Gen-c24/

Paradise Kava is really tasty stuff, but for kava prep I do it one of two ways. Either I use micro powder, or I'll do traditional preparation.

For micro, I prefer GHK Mahakea. Its fresh, and I purchase it directly from the grower in Hawaii. It has a 19% kavalactone content naturally, and so a few teaspoons mixed in some orange juice does the trick, and its tasty. With a chemotype of 461235 it has good effects. You can pick some up here.
http://www.gourmethawaiiankava.com/3.html

If I drink too much micro I can get dry skin, so I tend to mostly do the traditional kava preparation. For the best quality, again I go to Gourmet Hawaiian Kava medium grind, but on a budget I'll buy a couple of pounds of Kavaboy. I know a lot of people who like Kalm With Kava's medium grind too. Typically I'll put some extract under my tongue as a chaser to my traditional grog.

Right now GHK has some freshly harvested HIWA on sale. Its very heady and I recommend it *highly*.

On how to prepare medium grind, check out this video on traditional prep:

Kava grog doesn't taste very good, but if you mix in some fresh ginger powder into the grog before you drink it, it improves the taste and settles the stomach a bit.
