Tomatoes have no schedule, neither should cannabis.
Nixon was part of the criminal corporate conspiracy to keep this plants' potential from undermining their chemical kingdom.
If the states had not started legalizing for medical reasons, we would not be having this conversation. The Solo and other vaporizers are just one example of how this plant will transform our world. Change is coming, amazing to have the internet, so we can all watch it happen:

happy 1400 pages solo thread!

I would post a pic of my new solo but it look just the same as every other solo :)

When I got my new one I plugged it in before using it and let it stay looking fully charged for an extra 25 or 30 minutes. should i have done longer? it's currently waiting to get back to full from level 2.

sure do miss that PA feature... sigh

You need to charge your Solo 8 hours for the first charge. That helps to increase the efficiency and your battery will last you longer. That is talked about at length.

When getting any new vaporizer it's good to read about 25 pages to get you up to speed on the product you are buying.:cool:

I'm good with a long while on Level 3. After a couple years now with the Solo, I've noticed that taking my time at the lower level always gets me to the same destination with style. And Good Taste!

Bumping it up is good for showing a cloud, but at the expense of good taste. And Style! (I take it back - it is what it is in my mind, every single one of you is absolutely fabulous! You're already here and reading this, amirite?)

But this isn't necessarily good for those who need the CBD parts of medicine which do require a higher temp. For a strain like ACDC, I still get most of the taste at a lower temp, but I don't get the effects such as my shoulders and neck muscles relaxing unless I turn it up to Level 5.

I thought it was just recently retired smokers that liked the higher temps, but I met a nice lady at a farmers market that hasn't used smoking as a method of dosing since the turn of the century (that hurts when I say it, lol). She tells me I'm missing out at the lower levels on much of the flavor and medical properties of the higher-boiling-point cannabinoids and am mostly extracting the smelling/tasty terpines and psychoactive cannabinoids. I don't see the problem if I'm already feeling fine? :huh:

Everyone has different goals and should collaborate on their methods to reach them! With all the different people, different thoughts, and different methods, we still have one plant in common! :leaf:

In the 70's we surfed in front of the NIXON estate at lower Trestles and Cotton's Point. (Western White house) During the 60's we rode motorcycles at the Nixon Citrus groves.
In Orange County, CALIFORNIA the NIXON family was well known!

When Jack Herer wrote his book "The EMPIRE WEARS NO CLOTHES", the movement took off!

NIXON or REAGAN did not help to forward the movement for a more civilized society!

2016 I'm hoping legalization becomes Federally Legal across the USA then the whole World!l!

I wish I had a SOLO during the 70's!

Level 3 today with a 113 seal under the cap and a PHVES stem loaded with GSC.
Taking @carol King advice I bumped it up to 4 at the end of my session!

Do I feel better? Yes
Did I cough? No

I learn each and everyday!

well does that 8 hours start before or after it gets to full, because they ship with about 75% full battery? that is what i wasn't sure about. it's too late now if it is 8 hours past full on the initial charge, and ive used it a good numer of times already, but good to know for the future. if its 8 hours total i am ok. guess i should have asked before making assumptions.

i did some bent stems at 4 today and then 3! its great! i love the solo either way. havent touched my mighty once since i got it. my girlfriend said, "wow i havnt seen you use that one in a while!"

Do you guys think the vortex gongs would significantly improve draw resistance with the d020? For some reason the draw resistance has been getting on my nerves a bit lately and would invest in an improvement

However I love your post.

For my Ataxia (SCA) CANNABIS is the best medication.

The SOLO is a medical device to me.

Yes I use a seal, it is a newer solo. The draw from my 18mm pvhes gong on d020 seems really tight, seemed easier when I first started with this setup. Maybe something is clogging it up but those holes look clear. Any suggestions? I call it "invest" because at damn near $30 for a shorty turbo I need to make sure it will make a significant improvement

I broke so many.
Never understood why they did not make a Stainless Steel option? Or TI-2?

The water level on the D020 is critical.
I keep the water just above the perk slightly.

I just broke my last GonG for another vaporizer so I will put it a way!

Solo I have no more GonG's!

3 stems is all I have left.

Ok so I played with the Solo a little this weekend.
Gongs seem to play a huge roll when you're using a water tool. I have five nano gongs & only two of them work properly. I mean they all work but two consistently provide larger hits.
As far as I can tell it's tiny variations in the glass that make the difference, maybe it's the same with Solo gongs.
Anyway as soon as I insert a gong into the Solo packed or not it's restricting air flow so much that I'm turning my lungs inside out just to draw through it.
I found an original bent stem & that seems to work ok but they're a hassle to use with water.
The original bent stem is quite loose & it seems to need that room to wiggle in the oven because very little air comes in from anywhere else. I don't know if that's a fact it's just what I observed with mine.
I'd like a smaller diameter gong without the cuts & have a feeling I'll get better flow & thicker vapour just buying a short Air stem, shoving some silicon on it & using that as a gong instead.
It'll be annoying if I coulda just paid $15 for an Air stem, sometimes using vaporizers feels like one long expensive learning curve.
Hopefully I'll do that I'd like to use it more, cheers for the input everyone.

Actually you can use the plastic topped air stems as is. That is they mate with 14mm GonG fittings. And they're ten bucks, not 15, you might give it a try?

As for trying to 'feel out' the best configuration/technique for you that can indeed be a never ending process (or at least seem so). Some find that a big negative, some of us find it part of the adventure. I'm in the second group, the nearly endless options are a great thing I think. Kudos to capitalism, it brings us all sorts of exciting things in the marketplace to choose from.

I have 3 bent stems and switch between them :)
gonna get a vortex tonight. i like trying them all out.

when i got my solo from PIU i got some screens with it for the solo, figured i would put them in flat but how do you guys use them? they seem to just barely too big to fit them in flat.i tried making it domed but just ended up with some ugly thing with a few folds... anyone here who is enjoying their solo with the screens in the stem, how are you fitting them in?

Don't put them flat. That will reduce the open area over they holes by about 50% and it will foul very quickly. A dome, even a modest one, allows vapor to pass through the entire screen meaning much longer between cleanings. 5/8 inch is probably the best. You can put enough dome in pressing it into your palm with a fingertip, however most of us use the round end of a Sharpie pen or similar I think. Avoid folds.

Also consider getting some of these guys, 'just the ticket' really:

Poke around a bit, the fellow sells other quantities. The mesh is heavier, perfectly formed and the edges welded so it holds shape. Push it in (either way, dome up cuts the volume about in half) and fish it out with a bent pin when dirty. Hold it by the edge with a 'roach clip' or similar and hit it with a small torch until it glows then brush the ash off and put it back. This is my favorite torch for stuff like this and at $3 each (shipped) I'd get a couple if you don't have one already.

I bought the vortex & a pipes stand last night. now all i need is a silver solo too :)
I did just one stem of mostly a bunch of goop that came out of my ssv wand on 3. im medicated!!!

edit: There is silicone roasting tubes for things like the toasty top.heat island I see. do these fit in the solo?

I'm going to my friends machine shop and have some made like my LOTUS.

All my vaporizer's have broken GonGs!

I have 3 stems for the SOLO.

Looks like I will clean my Glass Water pipes and put them away!
