Naw, not a bit of it. You know how cool the Solo is and right now some bureaucrat is 'sitting on it'........ Life can be so unfair sometimes.
Hopefully it'll be safely in hand soon, you'll be enjoying it, and the wait will be a fading memory.

That and heating them up to make them more flexible is what I had to do to get them on. Taking them off by hand was nearly impossible, I had to use a flathead to help push them off.

How's your material? Quality stuff and it's dry, not moist/damp? I'm not sure where you're going wrong. I can get useful vapor starting at 2, around 5 and up I can't do dry, 7 is "baby fog machine" status for me. At the lower levels (2-3) you can overpower the heater with a strong long draw. I get visible clouding (but not very thick) even as low as 3 when I exhale... If it doesn't work like this at 7 with glass either your Solo is acting wrong or your material is not quite there? If you compare it to something like the Mighty it won't be as cloudy!Sadly I rarely use the Solo anymore, it seems like a lot of work just to get a little misty light vapour from it.
However I've been reading this thread lately so I pulled the Solo out to test again this week.
On high I get charring but little visible vapour, on the lower settings browning & not much else.
Now I know vapour density can be about perspective & I'm not expecting it to be a triple M (Massive Milk Maker) but when I first used it I thought I remembered getting enough vapour to fill the can & slightly conceal the downstem.
I think it's still under warranty & I probably would have sent it back but it turns on, heats up quickly & the battery seems fine. I don't even know if anything goes wrong with them other than the base cracking on some models.
I appreciate different vape signatures & while I wouldn't use the Solo often I would occasionally. Plus I've spent over $100 on gongs & that kinda motivates me because it won't be long until it's all, Honey why don't you ever use that little vaporizer you keep buying parts for?
I know a lot of you love this thing & I'd like to as well. Most of you seem to know what you're talking about so I'm just asking for some feedback.
Is light vapour normal & am I possibly expecting too much because now I own several other fine vapes or do you think my unit could have a fault?

You may have a faulty unit? You could be using cannabis that isn't cured well, possibly too wet? Not sure why the Solo isn't kickin ass? Statements like this are the reason I arrived at purchasing a solo. I was SOLD on an EQ till I stumbled onto this site, heard a lot of people say they essentially retired the Q when they got their solos so I figured I'd skip the middle step! May end up with a desktop later, more than likely and underdog or enano due to all the high praise.. And they look like giant wooden solos.

Glad to see all the new Solo owners. You will get your money's worth and then some with this portable. It's a miser when it comes to herb consumption. You will probably get your money back regarding the price of product alone.
With the Solo you can taste the various strains you are using. My Blackberry Kush tastes like blackberries. It's a great little vaporizer and about the size of a can of Red Bull. A very easy unit ready to use right out of the box after charging completely up for 8 hours or so. It's good to overcharge your batter the first time. It will make your battery last longer per @OF's instructions.

The Solo has been my daily driver for 3 years now and despite having a V tower and now an Air I will always come back to my Solo. To the earlier post about vapor amounts I run several strains that I grow myself and there is a definite difference in vapor production depending on the strain and I have the benefit of curing for ages if desired. Since your herb is changing colour the Solo is working, the bud not so much I guess.

The Solo thread is a great read but probably if you read back about 25 pages it should get you up to speed. This unit is very easy to maintain with the all glass air path, basically you just need to keep the stems clean.
It hooks up very easy to a water tool if that is something you are interested in. Planetvape has GonGs in either the 14 or 18mm size. This is a sturdy unit and will last you a long time. You will get many hours of vaporizing enjoyment with this unit.

I'm still a big fan of Level 5! With both PVHES Turbo and 70mm Air Tipped stem. I'll go to 4 sometimes, maybe 3 as a nod to all you guys, but I can also get some great flavors at 6 sometimes 7 using the convection techniques posted above.
There is so little differences between the settings sometimes, I thought 4 would be too cool but it's quite like 5 too. paler abv etc
And, as @just_the_flu says, those Air stems are complete stealth, even the 70mm like mine, can use them almost everywhere! And great clouds from them too.
Also, besides pairing with water tools.... the tipped Air stems are very easy to push tubing over the end,
and make easy DIY whip!! Or DIY bong
I have been doing this lately, my god! It's like heaven!
People here already said Solos are safe in bed, but a simple DIY whip can really allow you to indulge while in some restful positions!
These things are really good for pain, you're going to be glad!
When I put the stem of this thing in my gob, I can often feel the direct instant link between the medicine and the pain. It's allowing me to sit up and type now when I should be lying down!
Best of luck with your purchase and have fun getting to know her! You can now be safe in the knowledge that you have an extremely dependable unit for your needs (as long as your covered with a spare stem or 2 for the occasional glass break accident!)

Now when I was a young gun I smoked about 6 joints a day.
I feel like a looser if I listen to my EGO!

Well it's also probably true that while I might go a setting or two hotter than you now,
I would say your medicine is about 8.7 times stronger than anything I could get my hands on! so we're probably quite even!
But I acknowledge that 5 can be harsh and cough inducing with turbo stem, even with my poor product!
I'm just still in the honeymoon stage and impressed that it can even hurt or make my eyes water like that! I remember a time when I didn't think I'd see, feel or hear this vapor stuff going into me!

Lower to 3 if I cough.
Ground herb or nugs, it don't matter except the whole bud tastes even better.

Level 4 then I bump up to 5 towards the last 5 minutes of my session - usually have a ten min session. If I'm using the vortex stem I start out at 4 then quickly move to temp 5. Then finish the last few minutes on temp 6. The vortex stem is longer and has a vortex pocket that cools the vapor.
It's all good with the Solo. There are many different stems available so you can mix things up a bit.

My daughter in law 's grandfather was on the Shaffer commission that suggested to NIXON to decriminalize cannabis over 40 years ago!!
