Yeah me too. I'd like to leave it that way if I can. Just the whip. And yes I labeled and put away. May not happen again. It never happened before this time to me either. Wasn't pleasant.

The vapor brothers mini-wand is one way to go for log-like efficiency,
it works well with the standard ssv heater cover

hey Grokit,

Is the mini the same as the standard wand for vaporbrothers ?

http://www.australianvaporizers.com.au/store/vaporbrothers-standard-whip-wand.html

I'm interested in using it with ceramic screens, or giving their ceramic wand a shot with the ssv standard hc.

I'm just wondering if they are compatible with ssv standard or spherical hc ?

My experience is only with that particular vb mini wand and ssv wands.
I do think it would be a good bet that it would also fit the standard hc though

Nope, the VB standard is a lil bit bigger. I don't have one, but a user posted an image of the SSV vs the standard VB.

If they are all relatively the same size (VB wands), then the VB is in the middle of the SSV standard and the mini, about 11mm wide bowl. IMO, it's the perfect size.

That's a really helpful size comparison. I am so tempted  ! Thanks heaps, Tweak

Maybe i should get one!
after i broke my standard wand that came with it i got a fancy one with a donut in the middle, i got another standard one to keep as a backup if i break this one,but would be fun to have a new way to use my ssv!!!

Wow, movement in this thread great! I skip.a.day and BAM.

I use a homemade basket screen in my ground glass wand. And I use a very thin small piece of organic cotton on the whip end of the wand. That cotton stops particulates from getting in the whip. And it seems to work well, and I just change it when I clean the wand.

I agree, the page count for this vape is incredible deceptive.
i think its because everyone who has a SSV is too vaped out to bother posting about it.
maybe the threads with a lot of "satisfied customers" arent too vaped out to post ;)
the ssv is so reliable.... and perfect.... and THE CLOUDS.... and the flavor.....

They have some nicely worked wands, always wanted a standard VB but never got around to one.

Only place I know that has a collection is VaporWarehouse.

were u talking about the vaporbros itself or the wand? i was talking about the wand. just the standard one right?

Agreed Hot Dog.

This thread reminds me of the volcano thread. When things work, and does not require a long hard learning curve, well, what is there to say?

The enano thread moves real fast, but most posts are just saying how high the user got. And that gets old as well.

When discussing my ssv setup with another FC'er he asked me "why don't you use a shorter whip for a faster clear with your bong?" and I was like :o

so I took an standard length old whip I don't use as much, cut it in half, and it was still long enough for me to use my bong as normal with. and wow! didnt think it would matter that much but it made it that much nicer to hit!

Does anyone use water with the standard heater cover and wand? I have the ground glass set up, use water tools quite a bit, and I'm curious if or how you guys/gals use water tools. I've seen the holder thingy on the web site but from here it looks shakey.

I use a bubbler and HT with my standard set up. It's fun, not effortless though. The milk..

yes! i never hit my ssv dry actually... and i only have standard heater covers and wands!
nothing bad about it at all? i have a donut dry mouthpiece but hit thru water 99% of the time.
holding the wand there really isn't bad at all... its pretty close to effortless IMO

i would put an example video up but dont know anywhere that isnt google affiliated to host it!

<----- One is in my Sig

But this is a family photo
The two left are 11mm, the middle one is 10mm, while the far right is 12mm. These are all custom, wish 7th floor would carry them.

thats sick but i'm still a little confused on how you make it work if you don't have a heater cover on your ssv?

He uses the standard HC I believe
then i need to get some gongs like that made. damn. im inspired. maybe the base of my SSV wont just be a museum of weed that fell from the wand from never moving from its one spot then. dont want to get fancy ones like that made i think though because i break glass a bit much for that. some plain boring functional glass i could buy more of for less $ would be more my style ;)

I came home last night and saw that I had forgotten to turn my SSV off from the night before. Whoops! Immediately made a beeline to the whip and enjoyed the remainder of the loadout before starting to cook dinner :)

I often keep mine on all day if I know I'll be vaping throughout. I may have mentioned this before but I have a laser themometer and have used it to spot check the herb when loaded in a wand that's attached to the heat cover and the herb temp does not rise significantly, relatively speaking. The glass wand does heat up, however, when I get home I'll try to remember to take some measurements and post em here, just to allay any concerns that you're vaping precious weed while idle :)
