Boom Nova Tank

I've been watching this thread for a while, and have been wondering if the heater would work in Temp Control mode? Or does it expand/contract too much?
It'd be pretty baller if we could run.. say a Sigelei 120 TC @ 60-70W, and attempts to hold that heat- especially considering the beautifully perfect range so many TC boxes run nowadays.

Then again I remember reading somewhere about some boxes having issues with protections- is this due to the change in resistance with heat? (I can only assume that's how TC works)
Things to ponder...:sherlock:

edit- also I'm envious @PPN as I got offered a beta unit, but turned it down since I only have a mech
haha it's all good though, I'd rather have y'all reputable guys do your :science:

Just so Dab HAppy!
Here a pic of my actual favourite setup:

What is that black vape with the dial just to the left of your Boom tank device (a bit behind it tho)?

Can we see the rebuild feature?

Yes, please. I'm likely going to buy one but I'm waiting on the new coils/decks to come in before I do. I'm thinking of a few Ti builds that might work well on this tank with a TC mod.

So I got a pack of five coils and the Nova itself had 3. All have went out. It's a good attachment but going above 30-32 watts/4.7v seems to ruin the coil. Unfortunately after about 20 seconds of holding my iPV D2 says its too hot. Same for the iStick 30w.

No problem with my TV tube, it delivers 6v and 30w I think. Yes it can be hot, very hot

The attys in the Nova package get a short longlife but the attys in the replacement pack seem stronger, maybe 15-20 bowls...

I like this vape, it produces a thick and delicious vapor!

My last atty (one from the 5 attys replacement pack, still get 3 of them unusued) is working since 3 weeks...it was never used on my sub-ohm device, only with the TV tube, maybe 1-3 sessions per day.

I want to notice my batteries are heavy used and old....maybe they don't deliver 3v each, even fully charged, I'm trying to find an old stock of tenergys in good shape for testing.

I bet the issue with this vape is the same than the Thermovape line, it eat too much power, my fully charged batteries work for 6-8 hits and decline quickly.

Did the rebuild kit was for the new style atty Boom promised for us (and everybody) or for the actual atty?

BOOM??

Can't seem to get any new info on these attys either. Tried sending a message via their website with no response.

Also, I'm confused as to what element even comes with the boom tank for sale now. They list replacement coils, cirrus 1, cirrus 4, and a idw dry coil.

I'm interested in purchasing a Boom kit with the mod but would sure like some clarification @Boom as to what heater coils are supplied with it? What spares do I order as the mod kit only comes with 2 coils?
If you purchase just the Boom nova tank it comes with 7 coils, but which ones?
They also have Holiday Season pricing already!

Boom doesn't seems to reply anymore.....it's a shame cause I like this device!

I'm still on the same atty (+4 weeks of daily use, 1-3/day, every session is perfect if I use fully charged batteries), I think they must to build/find a good battery to power this device, you don't need heat settings cause you can adjust the temp playing with draw and power on/off, in that way it is very similar to the T1 also!

Hi, please Boom come back here!

Sorry guys,

Been MIA.

We are in the process of merging with Seego and taking over all sales function globally and R&D for all new products.

We have some crazy shit in the pipeline.

nova stove top coil like the elevate is being made by seego right now, and cant wait till the samples comes in. They will also make rebuilt-able base for the nova for all those that like to tinker around.

Thats just for the dry herb side....
______________

For all you wax guys, we are working on a new heating element that will make the ceramic donuts look like garbage....

also imagine an electronic nail that is not pluged-in and is the actually size of a ceramic nail/titanium nail

________________

finally for all the ecig people that likes to temperature control..

you will love us cause TC with nickel or TI will be old news. We are releasing a box mod that can TC KANTHAL AND NICHROME.

Hi,

Im Back.

Also post and update of why I was MIA. =)

Happy to see you back!

I'm still on the same heating element and combo my previous post mentionned, maybe 100 sessions, impressive!

I never combusted and always get good flavor, clouds and evenly browned abv without stirring at all, I use it at least 2 times per day when I want a tasty session, i tried it with a water tool but wasn't able to really milk it...although my bud is very moist and I didn't care about to dry it a bit more and most part of the time I grind coarse with scissors, that's why!

There is some issues, my combo only provide me 1 session/2 batteries (I need to replace batteries for each session!) and it's not really stealth since you need to draw 20-40s to get satisfying clouds (full convection!) that's why I told it is very similar to the T1 but taste is superior imho.

Can't wait to get the new attys in my hands!

ps: I use rcr123a in my TV tube, I see there is new version at 800 and 900 mah, my old set is 600mah... I don't think I can damage my TV tube and Nova atty using this new version batteries?

Yea,

Sorry its taking so long. We want to make quality products so sourcing the factory takes the longest time for us. We learn that the hard way when we dealt with Yocan.

I am aiming for January to release the rba base and replaceable elevape style coils for the Nova.

Got through the 2 heating elements supplied with the tank as well as the 5 extra I bought at the same time, in no time at all. Eagerly looking forward to the new heater elements. When please? Now please? Pretty please?

new to this site but interested in this tank, I am looking for a tank that could handle dry herbs and wax. One of the things I would like to have on the dry herb site is non combustion. Is there an all in one tank for this or am I better off getting one for each. I been looking at this tank as well as the Yocan 94f and the Cloupor Cloutank M4 2in1 Set. Any recommentations?

I'm not sure if cloupor M4 is like the M3 but if it is then don't buy it! I have M3 but it's burning the herbs (mine is for herbs only)
I'm interesting to find a herb tank too but I think that there is not any good.

Alright, so let me start by saying that I have been vaping my nicotine for 3 years now, so I am pretty well-versed in traditional vaping. I have also dabbled with THC ejuice, but I am brand new to dry herb vaping. I got the Nova and seems to work fairly well, but it seems I have to replace the heating element after every vape. Like even if I only take a few hits after I get it warmed up, an hour later my box says "no atomizer." I'm using an eleaf istick 60W temperate control, by the way, does anyone know if these tanks will work on temperature control mode? Any pointers as far as what I may be doing wrong, or what I might do instead are much appreciated, thank you.

In this thread I mentionned the included heating elements in the basic package was not reliable, although the heating element from the replacement pack of 5 heating elements works better...

Although I recommand you to look in another direction, even if I posted some nice feedback this unit is pretty far of our actual standards now... if you want to use a dry herb atty with temp control look at the Project in the DIY section (you can buy it to @Pipes for cheap) or at the new dry herb atty from Divine Tribe or another good vape.

That's the consensus everyone seems to have reached, I figured I would just see if anyone on this thread had any other recommendations. I actually have a Vapcap M on the way; I heard that's a good place to start for dry herb vaping -- for my needs, anyway. Thanks for your help, i appreciate it. Cheers, and vape on.
