Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Greetings everyone!

I just got the news I have been waiting for, well almost. The cap manufacturer just let me know he is in the final stage of setting up the tooling for production. He offered to get me some additional caps sent out very soon so I can begin fulfilling some of the first orders while he puts the final touches on the tooling. I am really excited to get these assembled and out into the world! I also should have the dugouts on the store next week.
Also, we need to decide on the name for the dugout. My favorites so far are VapPac and Dynastash, but would still entertain suggestions. I would like to decide the name before I list them in the store.
Last, I'm in Orlando for a couple days. If anyone is around here, I might have a demo unit that needs some love.

Cheers!

George

Great news George! Well on your way, me thinks these are gonna blow up...

I think I like vappac better, but it sounds different without the capitalization, so I actually think I like PacVap even better than that for simplicity sakes, a place to pack your vap!

I like VapPac, however can see it getting pretty confusing with the similarity between Vapcap and VapPac (anyone played a game called 'Fuzzy Duck'?).

So my suggestion is to move away completely from the name of your existing products, to something more descriptive... Something like BudDug
or NugDug...

Would defo make it easier to pick out orders for mailorder George, Not having to discern if it's a VapCap or VapPac that they want... (Wink wink, pick me)!! Hahaha

Peace

Edit: just looked back a few pages, and NugDug has already been suggested by @vaporonly , and dammit I prefer it over BudDug... Good luck vaporonly, maybe you can give me a splinter if you win!

I had a couple of loads through this thing yesterday and today and am really enjoying it even though I don't feel I've mastered it yet. It really is a fun vape to use and it's very effective. I think we have a new winner for legitimate, low priced vape!

I like DynaStash. It explains what it does. I think 'vap' should be reserved for the 2 vapes (and any future ones). Maybe 'dyna' could be in the name of any accessories.

@VapCap, what is the likelyhood that these will be ready for shipping by xmas? I am contemplating getting a woody vapcap but thought of grabbing a couple of regular ones for xmas gifts with the same order (international shipping).
Would this be likely, or a little touch and go given you are waiting on parts, have pre orders to fill etc?
Since I am the Grand Inquisitor this morning, can i also ask if the blackwood will always be available, or will you be changing up the wood options with each batch?
Thanks.

OK,
let's address these good questions one at a time.
At this point, with the news I've received from the company assisting me with the development of the tooling to make the caps being nearly complete, and the caps being the most difficult part to make, I mean really, the aspect ratio meaning the wall thickness (0.004" or 0.01mm) relative to the diameter (0.393" or 10mm ) is way outside the normal range for these type of parts. I have been working on this design for over 3 years and although it may seem like just a piece of metal, the effort involved in its development and creation is substantial. So, I feel pretty good about these being in production and ready to ship by the beginning of December if not earlier.
Please understand I feel compelled to follow the first come first to ship protocol.
The Woody's may take a week or so longer since I will be coordinating with @Ed's TnT for these, but I don't see any issues here.
The blackwood will likely be available for a while as well as the cocobolo since they are both good quality hardwood choices for this application.
Since this is a new product, you can expect changes and improvements to continue along the development way, so to everyone out there, Please send me comments and feedback so I can continue the evolution and improvement of the VapCap. :)
Making the absolute best vap is my goal!

Cheers,

George

Bring on the Rockstar! or maybe even a Redbull.

I'll be working late these next few nights putting together more parts and getting ready for the first semi production run of caps to arrive. Right now it looks like I will receive enough caps to fulfill all the VapCap originals ordered before August 8 as soon as next week! Maybe more, I am not sure how many for sure are coming. I have also been told I should be receiving the first actual production run before the end of the month. So this means if all goes well I should have almost all of the orders on their way by the first or second week in December and hopefully sooner.
I am taking pictures of the dugouts tomorrow and hope to get them online by the end of the week. I am still struggling with a good name for these things. I think they are simply too awesome to just call them dugouts, but there just isn't a name that is "clicking" for me. They will all have a magnet, so it will be easy to remove a hot cap, or to use it for a stand to hold your vap within reach, or even stick it to your fridge or inside your toolbox or lunchbox lid.
Anyway, I wanted to share the good news.

Cheers,

George

Not only can you use the magnet to pull off a hot cap, you can use it to hold your cap while packing the VapCap so you will be certain not to lose it.

Congrads on the Caps buddy. Looking forward to three more VC's!

Yes!!

Just checked my order:august 6, can't wait.

Maybe you can call your version of dugout simply what it is: DynaVap Dugout or VapCap Dugout. It is not original but it explains itself quite well (both origin and use)
