Maybe I've gotten some counterfeits too..?
I got the same results from FT. Seemed OK new but capacity dwindled after a couple weeks. Maybe a month. Even my last Sony VTC5s (expensive as shit) seemed to die fast. The VTC3s lasted longer for me. Even though current availability is lower they go the distance. So if the current isn't needed....
The CHs had disappeared for a year or so, or at least I couldn't find. Only now has my last one given it up. (2 years old) Outlived many other makes along the way. Was glad to see them back.

Sorry to interrupt the battery discussion. I tried the "hamster bottle " using a PVHES and VORTEX stem and the vapor was very wispy.

I finally understand the folks who only use stock stems and gongs.

Hamster style works great, but for me only with stock stems.

Does anyone else notice this?

Can I ask, what in the world is a "hamster bottle"? I mean I've heard of one but never in a vape forum. I tried out a gong last night but I never got good hits. I've been able to milk my bubbler with a pax and flowermate, but I can't with my air.

@sickmansfraud Is it much of a difference when you use those stems regular style?
If you're going for clouds try to dry the herbs until almost crispy. That might be a final factor as air/vapor ratio is quite different with vortex/pvhes compared to the stock ones.
If it was about draw resistance, I'd lift the stock stem just a tiny little bit and you should get along better - maintaining nicely dense vapor... That's what I do

Haven't used any of the aftermarket stems, purely because I find the experience with the stock stems so good!

I did buy a solo stem to use with the Air, the length keeps the vapor nice and cool :)

It is when you take your Solo/Air heat it up to top temp. When red /7 is reached you turn the vape upside down (don't want contact between herb and heater) and insert the stem only as long as you inhale.

Remove the stem between hits. Able to get high heat effects with minimal to no nasty taste.

Yeah. Can only recommend it. Improves smoothness of the vapor immensely. Had throat issues with the short ones...
Definitely a good investment and worth a try

So now you know the secret too. Just because Ataxian likes 'em doesn't mean the rest of us are crazy.......well maybe......

I think guys should try aftermarket stems if they're inclined to but that Arizer did a pretty good job of making one for the intended purpose, making vapor. The aftermarket ones have their advantages for some, but like most of life are compromises.

An inside joke for sure. Hamsters (and similar critters) in cages get their water from tubes plugged into sealed bottles. The bottles are on the outside with the end of the tube inside. The water is held against gravity by surface tension and the vacuum that develops in the bottle. Much like an office water cooler, they 'burp' air in from time to time as the water is used.

Some fool on the Solo Forum noticed inverted Solos looked like this.......and the name stuck. "Hamster Style" is our secret password.......

I love the turbo gong with water tools and get very thick pulls in my FC-ufo and hydrotube. I really enjoy the Air/turbo gong with the hydrotybe, probably my favorite combo. Having said that, I only use the plastic tipped stems when using it dry and I really like those things.

Does anyone have any tips? My new air just isn't hitting like I remember.

Edit: I just bought an Xtar single battery charger. Does anyone know if it would be a problem the store the battery in it while unplugged. Would it be dangerous or drain the battery or anything? It'd be more compact leaving the battery in.

so... i figured I post this....

I have read about someone on here using an e-nano stem in their AA. When I got my AA I tried this but it didnt fit...

well the other say I randomly tried again, and the opposite side of the stem fit the air! I love it! might not be for everyone because of a few reasons... 1. they are bigger so you need to pre heat a bit for them to fit and I know some don't like the idea of stretching those orings(or w/e they are) 2. Not all nano stems are equal, one of mine fits while the other doesn't.

but I gotta say... It was great... one of the things i like about it is that the tight fit allows it to stick in place above the air holes of the bowl. When I was using stock they were kind of loose so i always had to readjust the stem for better flow.

definitely my go to home stem.

Was playing with other vapes, you know the ones I mean, biggest hits ever, super efficient.
To me, there is no better than this, with VERY LITTLE EFFORT. In the above video, I'm almost asleep when I shot it....

Just created an account on here because I wanted to share my quick story of how awesome customer service is at Arizer...

I bought an Arizer Air less than a year ago, and over the summer I brought it to the beach. Well, during that hot beach day I used the Air for half dozen vaping sessions! But interrupting my joy, the Air stopped working mid-vape-session — probably because something overheated (incidentally, I was using the silicone skin, and I think it was the main cause of the overheating, but that's another story!)

I contacted Arizer and they gave instructions on what vaporizer parts to pack (just the unit and AC adaptor), and what parts not to pack (everything else including glass, etc.) and their tech department's mailing address for warrantee repairs.

I sent them my broken unit via Canada Post (cost $12), and a day later they notified me that they sent a brand new replacement at no charge to me (aside from the $12 it cost me to mail the unit to them).

Ariser shows they honour their 2-year warrantee, and the entire procedure took less than a week.

Add the fact that the company is located in Ontario, and that I live in Canada, means that the shipping took 1 business day each way, and no customs were required that may (probably would) slow things down (likely slow things down a lot).

Thanks Arizer for many awesome experiences (one of which includes this warrantee interaction).

This is an air discussion so this is a bit off base. But nearly every website fails to even rate some of the popular vaporizers here. I would never have heard of log vapes if I hadn't found this site. Or puffitup which is where I got my very affordable air and beautiful Joda stem. I do think you can get a good comparison if you try the ASK FC thread.

While I'm not sure about lesser Forums (and 'plain old websites' are even more suspect IMO) I'm also not sure you can say that here. We don't rate vapes against each other formally of course, but the Air, Mighty and Plenty Forums are about the same size here. The Solo, Air's 'big brother' is like five times bigger.

If you look through the Solo or Air threads you'll find very few problems, not so with either Crafty or Plenty I think. You'll also find negatives about taste with them, where Air/Solo are generally held to be amongst the very best due to the glass vapor path.

Does 'anyone' rate the taste with Crafty or Plenty higher? I honestly don't know, but we get folks here saying 'Air (or Solo) has better taste to me'. This from the only folks who's opinions count, those who have tested both.

Some find the difference in purchase price an advantage as well.

Rating vapes against each other is fraught with peril I think, the 'criticizing another guys dog' factor can rapidly get in the way.

If you really want to decide which is best for you I suggest you pick a dozen or so pages of posts from each at random and see how many problems/complaints show up for each?
