I went ahead and ordered the charger and another battery for a total of 3 batteries. I really didn't want to pour more money into the Air.....but its so worth it. I've been using my SSV while the Air charges and as great as it is, to me it just can't match the flavor and efficiency of the Air. I think I am just going to use my Air every time now.

I really like the Air too. Right now, if I leave the vape idle it will stay on for a full 10 minutes but if I set a temp it will stay on for about a minute and turn itself off. This is some kind of malfunction with the heater I'm guessing. Thing is I got this vape in a trade with another member and have no receipt that may be necessary for a warranty claim?

Shipping to Canada for service also is a PITA.. Which is what has me considering a good lighter vape for on demand hits and something that won't blindside you with a failure.

Does anyone know of a small airtight container for the stem? Something maybe the size of the battery. I can't seem to find anything usefull. A small case for the vape would be cool too.

I've bought this off of EBay. It's a memorex camera case. It was only $8.99. How about a medication plastic bottle for your stem as a container? It would have to be tall enough. The vitamin supplement Airbourne has 2 different sizes that would work. It wouldn't work for a bent stem. The Nano stem's plastic containers but they are long. If you don't have a Nano it wouldn't help.

All the containers I found made the package much larger. I went with two 1/2 inch ID vinyl caps. One with a short piece of 3/8 ID, 1/2 OD Silicone tube to make it fit. The two caps stay in place just fine, seal completely. Notice I cut the bowl ones off about half way, makes it easier to snap on and off (especially hot stems), that cap is the high temperature version so I can quickly cap hot.

Good idea. I wonder if these would work. http://m.ebay.com/itm/24-Push-On-Pl...-1-2-Diam-1-1-2-Long-/261418907723?nav=SEARCH. They have an inner diameter of 1/2" and 1 1/2" long. I think the stem is half an inch and the inch and a half should cover the mouthpiece. I'll have my air tomorrow so I'll take some measurements.

I don't see any reason right off why they wouldn't work. For less than ten bucks you can find out for sure and make a bunch of your Air owning buddies happy with the 'left overs'. 9/16 is probably the key here, half inch being nominal size. The stems measure about .56 in the bowl, 9/16 being .563 inches.

I'll buy some Friday when I get paid. I'll let you guys know if they work sometime next week. If someone else hasn't already. I wish I could get my crafty and lsv sold I'd have a little play money to work with.
Edit: There is also a pack of twelve for $6.16. 24 for nine sounds better though.
Edit2: I was just thinking a smaller diameter cap may fit on the all glass air and solo stems. Might be worth a try.

I bought the same charger package and batteries (different "seller" for batteries) from Amazon and they work great. The battery case came in handy but I haven't used the car charger yet. I've never charged the LGs in the Air though always in the D2. I've noticed no difference in performance between the stock batteries and the LG HE2s.

I'd avoid those batteries, I bought some, they're counterfeit. About half the claimed capacity by actual test. Check out the one star ratings, I'm not alone........

The factory battery can be bought for ten bucks or so, is probably the best choice over all and is the only one that preserves the warranty. You might check out Centizen, he has a thread on this, did a lot of research, bought a batch of the OEM battery from the maker and offers them at attractive prices. Sometimes shipping negates that. IIRC I got my spare from PIU.

I have some LG cells and NOT impressed at all.
Seems Panasonic CHs are back. Historically very good battery for the price.
Have had good luck with the CGR18650CH
Keep in mind that these should work fine but will void OEM warranty if you mention the change.
shhhhhh!!!

I've got LGs from other sources (same P/N) that are, I think, excellent performers. Very low internal resistance (30 or so mili-ohms) and 'normal' capacity (say 2400mAh). IIRC the duds I got from Amazon had OK internal resistance just very low capacity. They're either relabled lower capacity types or flat out counterfeits.

FWIW, I too am a fan of the Panasonics. I've got some with long hard miles on them still chugging along.
