Taking vapes into nightclubs

I wouldn't think a Crafty would be stealth enough for a nightclub. What about a vape pen that vaporizes concentrates such as BHO and shatter. That doesn't have a smell either.

Most units that vaporize flowers will have a bit of a smell, some more than others.

The Arizer Air is small and stealth but it too will have a bit of a smell. Do they still smoke cigs in the clubs? If they do that, that would mask the smell of a vaporizer. They have Indian Casinos here in the states where I live, they smoke in the casinos still.

There is no smoking in bars and clubs in most places in the states. the laws don't always apply on the reservations.

The casino that I just went to, on the roadway in, there was a no marijuana sign. A picture of a cannabis leaf with an angled line through it. I live in WA state where cannabis is legal. I guess that Indian Tribe will not be selling cannabis anytime soon.;)

EDIT
The Grasshopper isn't available to order and buy yet. You have to preorder and then it could take months maybe longer? I'm keeping my eye in the GH, the company is dealing with some issues. Not uncommon with a new vaporizer. It sometimes takes a while to get the bugs out. They may get there.

Haven't tried a nightclub, but my loaner Grasshopper worked wonders in the smoking section of the several Casino's I visited last weekend :D

The crafty's heatup time is too slow for my stealth needs. A Grasshopper though is a whole other ballgame

i take the uptech hercules into clubs all the time. it's way too easy; no one ever so much as looks at it funny. i used to put my pipe and bag behind my belt buckle in case i got patted down. i have never seen them go groping there. for the smell: rebreathe the vapor! if you keep the cloud down in the bottom of your lungs, you can keep breathing "on top" of it indefinitely, and after maybe 30-45 seconds there will be no cloud left to exhale. super low key. also, it's more effective when inhaled this way, in my experience.

Bud's strong smell makes me too paranoid to use it anywhere populated. Oil on the other hand is very discreet, and easy to take places. Bud just has a much stronger and more distinct smell compared to oil. It's also much easier to take small hits with oil. The only vaporizer I have been able to use in the same way I can use an oil pen has been the mflb. I still prefer oil to the mflb for stealth situations because I have a higher tolerance and I can fully clean an oil pen much easier.

The other thing that makes oil easier to use in public is that the gear to vape oil is pretty much the same as a lot of the e ciggs people are using.

I'm not so concerned with the smell, concealing the vape on the dance floor should not be a problem. & it won't be very easy to see where it is coming from I hope, with the LED light switched off.

My bigger concern in taking the crafty itself into the club. I would clean it & put a fresh mouthpiece on, and keep the herb separate. @dilvish, is this UK or US you speak of?

Another thing besides smell that makes me hesitant to vape bud in public is the length of a vape draw. Compared to a one hitter from a pipe, or a a dab in a pen, I find most vaporizers I've used take a relatively long draw. I haven't used a crafty or mighty, though, so I can't comment on those.

Taking long draws always makes me feel like I'm sticking out of the crowd, doing something suspicious, as there is more time to get caught in the act.

us. anyone know if patdowns are conducted any differently in the uk?

i know the feeling. pretty sure no one's ever eyeballed me for it, but taking 30 second draws and exhaling nothing must look pretty funny if anyone's paying attention.

With the mflb you can pre heat it out of sight then take a quick hit like a cough or wiping your nose.
I have done this at gigs.
I agree a vape requiring a long draw would be more difficult so a vape or pen that only needs a quick draw would be best.

I brought and used my FM5-S several times. On the dancefloor the smell is minimal and covered by people sweat... And most of the time there is someone smoking a joint somewhere and that's what the bouncers are actively searching.

Sometimes I hide it in a plastic cup, sometimes I don't even care and just hide the LED with my palm.

If there's a security check at the entrance, I put it in my gf's purse and so far they never asked. If they do we would just say it's a USB hard drive.

Ha ha, keroZen beat me to it. I was about to edit my post to address the security check issue.

I haven't needed it as yet, but i always try to have my vape either looking like something else, indica zippo, summit as a usb charger- without the mouthpiece (fm mini would be great here as it really is a usb charger) or have my mflb in a pouch full of batteries with the box at the bottom. "Oh this? It's just a bag of spare batteries..."

Obviously none of these things will pass close scrutiny, but pluasable deniability (is that a thing?) Is what I am going for if ever required.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
I have managed to get my vapes into the following clubs:

iOlite - Fabric x3

Ascent - Jaze Cafe x2

Solo - Wembley (Eminem)

Crafty - SE1 and some other warehouse rave.

Anytime I'm asked I just say its an ecig, never had an issue. I never try to hide them and always carry them through security in my hand.

I use the AA in pubs on a weekly basis now. Pre packed and capped stems in smell proof and you dancing. Night clubs have only done twice (43yrs old is TOO OLD for clubbing). Had my stem confiscated the once for being blatant (tends to happen after few beers I get the fuckedifIcare head on), 2nd time being less of a dick went fine. I don't usually get searched at venues due to age/appearance but would be more hesitant if thought I could be.
I think in the UK or any place where there's still acts against use, a certain level of discretion is needed. personally i'd find out which clubs got the decent doormen that turn a blind eye to adults enjoying themselves, concentrating all their efforts on keeping the violence out, and frequent that venue

I personally wouldn't chance any flower vape in this situation due to smell.

I would usually only bring an ecig looking oil pen into this kind of context or most out of the house contexts (even a w9 pen with kiss cart fits the bill here, just something more discrete, that can be loaded with less smelly oil and deliver the goods quickly so you don't have that smell factor while you wait for it to heat up).

Well it's fun to see you all say oil pens are better, but the OP is in UK... and like everywhere in Europe, oil and concentrates availability is almost non-existent... Or well we have that awful soap bar from morocco but I wouldn't want to vape that...

And as I said, smell is covered by dancers sweat in theses places usually. Otherwise you can go the the "smoking area" and in that place it's so suffocating that you get a tobacco overdose just standing by... and it completely covers the little smell a vape can emmit.

I'm sure most portable vapes would be small enough/not suspicious looking enough to get past security, as they're really only looking for firearms and alcohol being snuck in. I'm just too paranoid to use any session vape in public. Maybe it's cause not all my friends use cannabis, but if I was out and got kicked out of a place for vaping I'd feel like cannabis was getting in the way of my ability to have fun. That's also why I don't like using vapes that take long draws. My friends who don't use cannabis see me and think that's all I'm doing all night, if I'm spending so much time with my hand to my mouth. I hate when I have to tell my non cannabis using friends to wait a second for me to do something drug related. Same can be said if I'm out meeting new people, I don't want them to think I'm some kind of weed fiend.

When I vape oil, not only does security/the public not notice, but even my cannabis using friends are oblivious.

I suppose oil isn't common in the UK, but if they have iso there it's not difficult to make enough oil for a night out. I know I personally only use oil for those times, as I prefer the high from bud.

You'd be amazed what smells 400 sweating, overly fragranced twats dancing in a sea of dry ice can cover up. If you pass the door search and don't act a twat on the inside you should be golden. Although I am aware of certain towns/cities having a hand swabbing policy, Swansea being one.

Are you asking about taking a vape into a club and using it in the main area, or just getting it past the security? If you can get it past security, you would probably be better of vaping a few hits in the bathroom stalls away from guards, nosy people, cameras, etc., instead of trying to blend in while vaping in the crowd. You can also then flush your AVB if you vaped herb and not concentrates (I probably wouldn't risk it if you have concentrates available.), so you don't have any on you even if you do get searched for smell or some other reason.

It comes down to the place (club or bar) and the vaporizer used. I personally like to play it safe and I would probably vaporize out in my car right before going in. I don't really go to bars any more, I don't drink alcohol very often either. It tends to make my condition worse.

Gotta say bro, concentrates are more non-existent where I am than the UK/Europe! We don't even get hashes for sale here typically!

If you can get cannabis, you can get concentrates though. ;) I am dabbing the absolute finest after much learning and trial and error, but this is the age of rosin - anyone can make epic dabs now!

Also I have it on good information from Euro friends that there is definitely fantastic hash going about Western Europe (as well as the obligatory nasty, frequently adulterated soapbar), I personally know of friends of friends who make bubble hash in the UK to this day and Vapefiend sell concentrate vapes too. Either of these sources of hash (not soapbar lol) and a hair straightener will endow the user with a wonderful supply to dab :D

Has anyone on this forum taken a crafty vaporiser into a nightclub? Or any vaporiser for that matter. How did it go?
I'm specifically interested in London, UK but any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I personally have the Arizer Air which looks a bit more like a e-cig but I wouldn't worry. I have brought my vape into many night clubs and bars in and around London and not had an issue. I would say even with a crafty you can just say its a big e-cig.

It's very easy to use them inside if you are keeping it very discrete, or in the smoking area no one has a clue, i've literally used mine in a near empty smoking area standing next to security and no one knew.

I just keep a doob tube on me filled with some pre ground herb, makes refilling easier. And saves you carrying a bag of weed and a grinder. Its a mini doob tube so can easily be put somewhere covert if needed to hide it from a pat search, shoe is my personal fave.

I always feel that doing it in plain sight is actually really sly. So bait you're sly as my friends used to say.

Personally, in this world of prohibition, I am of the mindset that thinks that people just need to get on & do what they are comfortable doing, and if they are not comfortable, then perhaps they shouldn't be doing it because it will probably draw unwanted attention.

And imo, publicly viewable conversations blatantly discussing this subject could potentially make the objective much more difficult to achieve than it was in the first place.

Just my :2c:

That is all.
