Organalab's O-pen Vape pen and disposable c02 carts

interesting, because my curiosity came directly of there popularity and use by celebs. I have been wanting to find the ultimate stealth device that looks legate. its a research project of sorts so I am open to all suggestions.

FWIW it can't be polarity diff because to a coil polarity is irrelevant, it's just a heater. There are variants on 510 threading, but there are even small adapters.

I have been using an o pen for months and I am loving it.

At first I started with the cartridges made by medwest branded as o pen and found them to be hit or miss. Some strains got me reallymedicated but some strains left me waiting for the effects.

So I tried out liquidgold co2 oil and found it to be of better and more consistent quality. Now I just refill my old o pen cartridges and buy new ones when they wear out or clog from when I bought homemade oil.

Definitely recommend the o pen system because it provides a consistent medicating experience.

If it did not get you that high, take another hit. I find three gets me for a while.

Edit: Also thick thick oil like the one from organa labs doesnt clog it. Just oil that has kief.

I have thrown a few oils at this and found it reliable.

So I've had an O Pen Vape going on four months now and it is what introduced me to vaping.

I find that it works with viscous oils as well although they can't be too viscous or it can clog temporarily.

Usually it's best to use watered down PG oil, since that is what the cartridges are sold with, but I throw in Liquid Gold and have even tried Pure Gold on it and it works just fine. So did Organna Labs but one of their oils was the too thick to fully enjoy. I would smoke for a session and if I wanted to take more than say 6 hits I would have to wait for the wicks to saturate.

It can be from the consistency of water (although I've found it feeds too much if this is the case, to the consistency of a thick honey.

The oil that clogged up my cartridge just would not flow at all inside the container and would take forever before it moved. It was that thick/viscous. Just be sure to avoid oils that are super thick and you'll be okay sneak and toking on this.

The website from the manufacturer is: http://www.openvape.com/

I have not purchased anything from their website. I got the pen from my local dispensary for 25 dollars and then bought prefilled cartridges for 25 dollars to try out. Once I had a small collection of cartridges I started to branch out and try different oils as I found the world of vaping.

The only two downsides I've found are that the cartridges have a small fill hole and it will require a needle or small enough squeeze tube. Pure Gold fits perfectly in the hole and so do Liquid Gold needles. The other downside is that it produces small-medium clouds of vapor.

I haven't done any comparison to any other vape but just know that this one produces smaller clouds. It's not a cloud that is disappointing, but you won't be feeling much throat hit. Which in this case fits perfectly for stealth hitting.

The biggest pro of this pen is it's size. Here's a picture of mine in my hand for comparison.

IMG_20140605_075453_zpsrma4ztkn.jpg

It's so tiny I've taken hits just about anywhere after wandering around. I was in a Wal Mart snuck a hit. I was in the Hospital. Snuck a hit. I wasn't around people but the risk of someone coming around the corner was always there.

Point is it's the stealthiest son of a gun I've ever seen and never fails to deliver.

It is a simple no button operation that turns on when you suck and it's a bit of a tight draw but that also varies from cartridge to cartridge depending on how used it is.

I've had cartridges that flow really well after lots of use that still don't leak or gurgle.

All-in-all I really recommend this pen for your sneak and toke needs. Nothing is as stealthy or inconspicuous as a simple pen in your mouth. The smoke will be a dead giveaway if they keep staring, but if they just glance at you I've found it doesn't even register. Be it in hand or mouth.

So they're pretty cheap and won't convince you to ditch your heavily modded my-god-this-is-large-and-bulky 300 dollar wax pen but give them a try. You might like the high.

I've found it to be enjoyable and good for medicating. Sometimes stronger than smoking sometimes not. Depending on what you're filling on.Nowhere near where a dab is though.

So let me know what you think, especially if you've tried it out. This thing made my smoking life very portable.

I got one of these a while ago form this company http://www.oasisco2.com/.
Same thing it was cheap and easy .
I had the Oasis Indica cartridge I found the meds to be weak .
It was good for walking around once I was already medicated to help sustain me .
I was not able to find any other cartridges until last week . Have not tried any others yet . Might get one today .
I was looking for a refillable cartridge and could not find one so I called Oasis and they told me that refillable cartridges will not work (probably bull shit so I would buy theirs) But that they were coming out with a refillable model in a few months and would send me one for free. I have not head anything from them yet.
I like the size and ease of use just hope one day I can find good meds for it .

Yep that's the same thing. I'm sure their cartridges are refillable. You just have to take off the mouth piece and then take out the rubber stopper at the very top of the cartridge.

Assuming it's exactly the same as mine.

If I had kept with the hit or miss cartridges sold by O Pen (Medwest-variant) I would have ditched this thing.

I think it's very important to refill with quality oil. I'm even looking into growing my own to make into oil. I ordered a plant which my dispensary will deliver in a few days.

Edit: Also I think it's a 510 thread. Or so I've read. Haven't tried fitting other things on to it but you could just buy the O Pen cartridges if yours aren't refillable.

I Thought about refiling them my self .
I don't have a source for oil at this point but I could probably find one .
It is a 510 thread and I tried some parts I had laying around and they would not work but the parts are suspect more than the pen.
I send an update when I try something !

I have a couple of o.pen cartridges and I love them. One is a bit clogged or something though. It's a very tough draw. How can I get that cart free-flowing again?

My opinion it still sucks meds do almost nothing and taste really bad .
Its too bad because I like the idea of this pen .
But i wont be wasting any more money on this .

www.o2vapes.com The O2 Vape hits a lot better and smoother. I used to use Open and will never go back. Open seems to be a shady company they announced they were testing their employees for drugs. Plus they never want to work with you on warranties unless you buy more garbage oil. (They fill half the cartridge with PG. I've gotten my cartridges tested. There is better brands out there. Hypocrite?

I'm trying to find out if the O pen cartridges currently being sold in Oregon contain propylene glycol, because they give my propylene glycol sensitive patient headaches.
Brothafromthed-O Pen's drug testing protocol is the wave of the future-they test for everything but cannabis. Since the presence of non intoxicating levels of THC metabolites do not impair work performance, this is sensible for all employers.

If you have some food quality glycerin just add a couple of drops (you'll need a blunted syringe) and shake vigorously. The glycerin makes it a bit sweet but at least its flowing. Make sure not to lose the tiny flexible plug.

went to BPG today in Berkeley. They had the o pen carts and pen but i passed, the back of the package says it contains VG.

Got a gram of the pure nectar c02 which is listed in the ingredients as 100% c02 oil, which makes sense, its super thick. Also got some PG for this omicron thing hehe..
I was not liking the flavors of the o.pens but love the concept. I found incredipen vaporizers. They are the same pens but you can load them with your own oil. I bought their mix kit and some co2 oil to thin it out with PG then vape it!!! Made for a lot of really good and tasty cannabis e-liquid.

I just looked at the incredipen online, the mix it comes with doesn't say what exactly it's comprised of. Is it just PG? Have you tried EJMix from Liquidizer? It's a blend of three PEG's I'm pretty sure and seems to not separate at all unlike some other mixes that other people tried. Re: the o.pen taste, yeah not the best for me either.

the incredipen site says it comes with 10ml bottle blend of PG, PEG 200 and 400, a blunt tip syringe for filling your vaporizer, a mixing vial and mixing instructions. i foud it on vaporipen.com could be different?

I use disposable cartridges, and when I buy one specific "flavor", it clogs everytime. Oil fills up the "smoke tank" when the cartridge has about 1/2 left. I'm not drawing too hard - but it still happens. Does this sound like a bad design, or something? Anyway to get the oil back into the tank?

I have had issues with badly made/processed concentrates in these vape pens. I only use shatter now and have no problems. I know if you suck too hard or if the battery is not hot enough the oil will go past the atomizer coil without vaporizing. This draws the oil through the atomizer and into the air chamber without producing vapor. Probably more of a battery problem than anything? I use the syringe from incredipen mix kit to transfer oil's. Ive even had prefilled cartridges crap out and i just use the syringe to put it into a new cartridge. You can also mix oils and put them into any vape pen.

Been living in CO for about ~7 months now and I've put off buying an o.pen cartridge forever just because I've heard so many mixed reviews both extremely positive and extremely negative.

Had a $350 worth of purchases built up at my dispensary so I got to pick something off of the reward list for free. The wax looked like garbage (processed by Mahatma.) And nothing else looked too appealing so I snagged a 250mg indica "snooze" cartridge. It's definitely indica. I don't have the actual o.pen battery and mine doesn't work at all with the cartridge, so I'm using my room mate's tiny blue Atmos battery and I think it's too powerful for the cartridge but if I do short 2 second bursts I can get it to taste pretty good. The effects are surprising. 4 or 5 rips and I am absolutely toasted.

Yeah, the cartridges can be good. I just found them to be too hit or miss to stick with them.

If I had money to burn and could just throw away any useless cartridges I would have stuck with them. When they kick in they kick in.

Even if it is watered down PG stuff.

The carts are great especially for thick oils and are not unique to O.Pen and come under many names. One good source of blanks is Vstick. The pen is nice to. The O.Pen oil though is watered down over priced crap

I just want to stick my $.02 in here by saying I purchased one of the new "Reserve 420mg" carts from O.Pen, AJ's Sour Diesel (Sativa), and it has been AMAZING. It is 100% CO2 Oil and not a drop of VG or PEG/PG. Purchased at rec dispensary in Aurora. It's fucking expensive as all get out, $85 with tax (Rec dispensary) for 420mg (so about .6mL at 71.02% THC as per the packaging). The "Reserve" cartridge comes in Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid, with the Sat/Ind carts coming with a strain-specific booklet cover/token.

Mine is about half gone after about 5 days, so not very wallet-friendly. I had to find a replacement or identical product, maybe empty 1mL carts that could be filled with CO2 syringes? I searched town for decent prices ($30 or so for 1mL of CO2 oil, which comes close enough to a gram of concentrate) and found PURE down on Bannock in Denver, who makes the Colorado Cannabis Company Concentrates ON-SITE, and sells 1mL 510-threaded carts for $30 + tax (medical) or $50 + tax (rec). I bought 1x Sativa at 76.13% Potency and 1x Indica (Grape Ape) at 75.09% Potency. Bought a new 510 battery at 900mah and it hits so good.

I recommend looking at options in your area for O.Pen alternatives, even though the new "Reserve" line is fantastic, although very, very expensive.

This is the ones from Colorado Cannabis Company, which I will be purchasing from now on.

Edit: The O.Pen cartridge tastes fantastic and you get a lot of the terpene flavors and a fleeting scent of fresh flowers. The CCC cart tastes bland and not at all weed-like, nor does it smell. The guys at PURE (the dispensary and CCC lab) said it is decarbed and that affects the flavor. Would O.Pen's be decarbed as well, or do you think they use a different process that allows the oil to be much more flavored?

I found a neat trick. If you cover the airholes with your fingers and tap one as if playing a flute while puffing you will get thicker clouds of smoke. Seems to burn through the liquid faster but it's all good. I know where it's going. :D
