Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

If you're not going to go above noon and are, in fact, thinking about going lower, you will not come close to extracting everything you can out of your bud. It's just not possible.
@Budley Moore is in the UK and has an international EVO. The roll out on those was very complicated due to different power requirements requiring different electronics and software so the units are not comparable to ours. IME, from reading here, the international units can run hotter and this would explain his results. Individual variations in the bamboo, and medicine can also affect this.
Previously when I mentioned efficiency of the EVO being less than I had hoped I was actually comparing it to smoking. I found the extremeQ to be the least efficient of all. I can't help thinking it would still have more of an effect smoked and this confuses me after reading multiple posts here stating vaporising made it last longer.
Budley, you are not going to get the results you want from vaporizing until you quit smoking completely. It will take a while for your body to clean out and for your mind to adjust to the high without the toxic components that people get used to the feeling of. Stop smoking and in time things will come around.

I think you hit the spot as I'm also international and immediately had issues at high temps. Never set higher than 1:00 and I'm not surprised someone ignited the herbs setting at 2 or 3 o'clock.

Simply assuming that Budley's noon may get as hot as my 3:00 doesn't really account for all of his difficulty trying to get a full extraction although it explains the combustion problem. There are always variables, but if we didn't try and control for them when we think about and discuss them then we'd never get anywhere.

All I know is my international/UK EVO isn't hot enough with the dial at 12 to extract everything I want, even after heatsoaking for hours.

It's not just the colour of the AVB either, I'm feeling the effects more since using the dial higher.
Sure, with higher dial settings, the second pull might taste a little toasted, but the first hit still tastes great.

Tonight I'm trying even smaller loads like 0.05g with the dial at 2. I've just had a nice tasting one hitter without noticing the toastyness :science:

VapeXhale CS is awesome.

They sent me my replacement hydratube, which was actually an almost identical piece to the one I had. That meant it wasn't going to work with my vapexnails in any case.

But! They sent me a two pack of the quartz VXNs, which I was pleasantly surprised to find work very well with current HT. I went through a lot more of my wax last night than I should have, but oh well. I do agree with those who say they like using their EVO for buds more than concentrates.

The bud experience is flawless. I don't like how much residue is left over from my concentrate at the highest heat setting on the EVO, though that might be because my concentrate isnt top quality. Still, its decent concentrate, and I find that my first pull on a dab is usually tasty vapor, but then there is usually enough vapor for another pull and those subsequent pulls taste tainted by the burnt flavor of the residue that's still slowly burning off.

Still gets me very stoned off of just a hit, or two if im doing small dabs, but I prefer my friends traditional rig just cause it's more consistent and I feel like it tastes better.

Edit: Can a company rep chime in on how long it is safe to keep the EVO running for? I saw that they warn against keeping it on 24 hours a day, as that can cause damage to the heater, but I want to know how long is safe to keep it running.

I usually turn it off after about 30 minutes if I'm only hitting it every 10 minutes or so.

Yeah, @New_buddy , I've found that for best results the amount of concentrate used should be small enough so you can take it all in one hit, pulling the HT when the vapor begins to thin. This way you can miss the bad tasting residual vapors. I think it's pretty efficient; just not the way to go for larger dabs, maybe.

Glad to hear about the quartz nails. Nice to have that confirmed for people with the Hydratree.

I have for a few weeks now so unlikely to be that still, surely?

I think you might be onto something about the international models, I was wondering if the UK one was different. Which is why digital temp is a good idea.

I have tested by reusing 12 oclock abv at 1:30-2:00 with little effect, expect maybe ignition!

It will take longer, keep going. Everyone is different and there are threads here on the subject.
some members like t-dub have had their evo's hooked up to a timer to keep them on continuously, so a few hours straight for you should be no problem.
This is true. I ran my EVO for over a year this way with no problems.

They turn off automatically every hour (flashing red&green)
But if you put an automatic timer on the plug, you can set it to power cycle to save you having to manually flick the switch off/on

Does it shut off after some time?
EVO has a 1 hour auto shutoff that I defeat with an outlet timer. I simply set it to turn the outlet off for 1 minute at the top of every hour.

Hey guys. Just got my cloud evo with hydra honeycomb HT.
I thought I'd read that they'd eliminated the whistling when inhaling but I'll be damned if mine doesn't whistle like a motherfucker.
Any tips (besides inhale less forcefully) to reduce or get rid of the noise? I can't even tell where inside the unit it's coming from.

I am about to pull the trigger on a new evo since my ticker keeps flashing red ,but I have one question for those who own or use hydra tubes.

Im not knocking hydratubes because I only used one one once , but it seemed akward / counter intuitive to me to place a tube on top of a male joint and pull it off to clear it , especially while sitting down .

When I put my ticker upside down in a piece it feels very natural and not akward. With a heavy piece I can hold my cloud in one hand , where-as with the hydratube the evo felt so lite that I felt like I had to hold it and the hydratube to separate it , then worry about gently putting them both down seperate or cautiously put it back on top?

Is it just me and my inexperience with hydratubes or does anyone that has one prefer to use standard glass for my reasoning or a different reasoning?

Also , I realize hydratubes are essential for vapexnails but I have an enail setup with many glass pieces that I love so I dont want to use the evo for concentrates , strictly flowers.

Hey man! I come from a background of very, very limited experience with glass prior to the EVO, and I've only had the EVO a few days. (Loving it so far!) I personally find it's a little cumbersome pulling off the HT to clear it, yeah. I definitely recommend gripping the EVO itself with one hand, as I do notice the HT "sticks" sometimes and threatens to lift the base with it when you try to lift it to clear. But the tasty, clean vapor that the HT provides is well worth the trade off, I'd wager :). But if you've got other glass that'll work with the EVO I see no reason not to use it!

Yesterday evening I had a couple bowls on the Evo.
I tried hotter temperatures than my usual noon temp with great success. My prerequisite is not to play with the knob (fixed temp for the whole session) and my new goal to find the perfect temperature to kill a small bowl in a single hit.
I read some of the latest messages and got very curious. I tried 12,30 and 13,30 (lol, I mean some more than noon/ one o'clock).
I'm still very far from my goal and got 2/3 pulls but I think that not escalating from low temp, then hit, higher temp, hit again, I lowered the risk of igniting the load or getting burnt smell. Previously, the worst bowls I had over noon temperature were vaped that way. I blamed the high temperature and didn't want to go over noon again, but probably the escalating process was the culprit.
I also ordered some accessories from Vapexhale taking advantage of their sale but no Hydratubes. I was tempted but I already have Steven's devastator coming in and settled on some new bowls and nails instead.

I never start low and work my way up, I prefer to hit the higher temp/setting and get it all at once.... cos i'm greedy like that lol :p :) :science:

I sometimes do start low and then work the temp up.
It is more powerful and complete than a whole session on low temp.
And the first hits are way more tasty that starting on high (but first hits on high can be great too especially when you pull hard).

Whole session on low temp is great for tasty prolonged session with many hits and its easy on throat/lungs.

Whole session on high temp is the vape equivalent of bong/dab hit.
Very milky, powerful, can be tasty in the start and with nicely dried bud and good lung capacity you can kill the bowl in one hit.

Some herbs like higher temps and some lower.
Right now I've got two very different strains.
One that is very dense nugs and has earthly smell.
And the other one is outdoor Frisian Dew, a little airy, but nice and has awesome pine/forest fruit smell.

The former one vapes best at max temp, gives dense and actually smooth hits there. Anywhere lower the hits gets wispy and not as satysfying.

The Frisian Dew on the other hand works best on 1:00-1:30. Gives nice and tasty and ultra smooth hits that last consistently for a while. But anywhere higher it starts tasting like shit and its stops being enjoyable.

I bought a gram of some herb yesterfay that was very shitty; obviously picked before it was mature.

It only gave a single, weak hit even on 2:00pm. I guess thats the shit you've gotta deal with when you live in a state with a legislator that thinks this is a socialist country.

I vaped the whole gram through my EVO in one sitting. Now im wondering if I would have been better off smoking that particular bud, or if it would have just not even gotten me a buzz without the EVO.

Time to clean me some HT's!

I know this has been gone over here before, but I can't find quite what I want to know... Planning an ISO bath for them. What do you guys use for the soak? Some of my tubes (but not all) can fit in a ziploc baggie. Are these safe with the ISO? What do I have to watch out for and/or avoid?

It's ok, but if I forget it on in the evening, will I find it flashing lights the morning after? Does it harm the baby?
