Howe much of a better hit does the minivape basket? I thinking about picking this setup.
......................................................
I would be hesitant to say it gives a better hit. I think loading Herbie directly into chamber will give just as big a hit/ just as good a hit but-
I started to use it and continued because: from my previous post:

Hope you find a way to use the wire baskets as I love them. Can place a VXL Hydratube directly onto the flexicone module. Never have to remove Herbie bottom magnet chamber, never have to clean the Herbie chamber as it stays spotless, basket wire adds another layer of protecting against herd debris getting into Herbie, never have to clean the Herbie upper screw-on chamber or it's screen as I never use the upper chamber with the mV basket.
I can "load ahead" with the mV baskets but only have one Herbie (expensive) chamber.
I just recently started experimenting with adding a degummed hemp fiber "filter" in the Flexicone to keep that fine dusty herbage out of one's lungs and out of your water piece or whip. Report due after some testing time.... :)

I'm having issue with my top screen getting clogged . Will this mini Vap mod you guys are talking about solve this . Srry if this was asked already
The miniVap mod has worked well so far for me. I travel a lot though, so I don't use it heavily everyday. Although, I'm a lightweight anyway. It seems as though the mod can be used with all three modes of the vape (whip, balloon, and Hydrotube).

It definitely slows down the clogging but last night I went back to my previous method for comparisons sake and think it's overall less hassle.

I like to take a Haze convection screen and deform it a bit and reshape it into a dome that I wedge in over the top of the material after I put it in the Herbalizer bowl. This completely prevents material from obstructing the Herbie. Your top screen will still occlude after enough sessions, but this time it'll be restricted by the accumulation of oils in the Herbie screen. You can solve this in a heartbeat by popping that screen out and pushing it into the bottom screen position and taking a few puffs. you should be rewarded with some nice dense vapor.

I sometimes like to save up these occluded top screens until I have 6-8 screens, push them into the Herbie bowl, and take some big tasty rips with a bubbler.

I don't have a picture taken yet of this, but I can post one if the visual is helpful. I need to take a few pics of a different setup for @MinnBobber so it wouldn't be any hassle.

I think @Vicki may find this method helpful as well.

With the miniVAP basket module, I don't even use the top half of the herbie bowl so it never needs cleaning :)
With it, there's an extra layer of screen on the bottom (the bottom of the mV wire basket) to make sure no herb dust falls into the herbie heater. There is also a screen snapped into the inside of the module to contain herbs from being sucked out the top.

I am currently experimenting with adding a "filter" to the miniVAO basket module, see picture below.
It is a very thin layer of degummed hemp fiber which is meant to catch any herb dust,

Another way I use the mV basket module is shown below, with the @Ratchett Herbie Song--again without the top half of the herbie bowl. The basket just snaps into the Song. I can use the whip with this as shown or set the HT on top. You sort of lightly hold it in place.
I just hate loading herb directly in any vape unit's bowl--much prefer to have it contained in a separate basket, and hate glass tube loading system so that's why I ended up with a herbie and miniVAP.

It's just opens up other options for the herbie :)
If your main issue is clogging of the herbie top screen, this works OR adding a screen on top of the load in the Herbie bowl as virtual was talking about.

Or adding a screen AND a tiny layer of hemp fiber (a filter) with stock use (herb directly into herbie chamber). When the hemp filter get dirty with herb dust and some THC goo, you can simply place it in the chamber to vape off any goodies before throwing it away

Anyone know of a good tutorial for bag replacement? I know Stickstone said he would walk me through it if needed but if anything was readily available it would be nice and sharing the info here will help other users. Thanks all. It was a Herbie kind of uplifting morning today.

@stickstones should have all the mV pieces. The bad news is that they come in 4 packs and are expensive for what they are. I think he's split in half for a 2-pack but ask. Any friends with Herbie or miniVAP that can split a 4 pack?
I think the 4 pack comes with normal wire screens---I much prefer the mV rimmed screens with a metal rim around the outer edge, but those are extra $$.

I think baskets are great and have reason to believe they'd work in a Mighty or Crafty too.

NOTE---the Arizer wire baskets are a much cheaper option BUT they are not nearly as sturdy as the real thing. When you snap them into the flexicone they come very close to deforming.

I can try to put one together for you good sir. What kind of bags are you going to use?

PS @IAmKrazy2 , what's with your region of the country having so many Coney Island restaurants?? Haha. Sorry, just so curious about it and thought you may have insight.

Thanks MadCap79. I have a bunch of bags, Turkey bags, Arizer Extreme bags, probably Zephyr Ion and others too.

Coney Islands are greek American restaurants and they actually started in Detroit. Lafayette and American Coney Island used to be a single entity until a fued between two brothers caused them to split off into two seperate restaurants. I believe this was in the 1920's. They are both still across from eachother downtown and there is a ton of individually owned Coney's and even more small chains. A lot of them are family owned and operated

Thanks for the insight! I go to the Waterford/Pontiac/Auburn Hills area for work occasionally and I noticed an overwhelming amount of the Coney restaurants there in various forms. I always associated Coney Island with NY. Shows what I know! Hehe.

Anyway, I have no bags except sandwich bags but they should be good enough for the tutorial. I'll tag you in the post once it's up.

Thx minnbobber . My old vape was an eq I'll try an elbow screen tonight . I've only had the Herbalizer for about 3 weeks and I'm a little worried about bud falling inside herbie . Not to mention the top screen clogging .

Yes, see if those screens work for you. One reason i like my mV setup IS an extra layer of screen protection to prevent bud falling inside Herbie.
You could use the eq basket and squish a screen in , on top of the load, to keep bud from being sucked up into the Herbie top screen/clogging it. I hated that aspect of stock use. You'd still use herbie top half of bowl.
Let us know how this works out for you

ok i am incredibly tempted by this vape. i do love taking whip hits. the ssv is my favorite vape i've ever had and i've owned it for a long long time.

this is a weird question but please bear with me! i am wondering if anyone here knows the ssv and the vape exhale cloud. i have plenty of experience with the ssv and the vape exhale but not many other desktop vapes (i also know the mighty).

the mighty and cloud have a more "Controlled" and reliable vape experience. you know how it will behave and can except a certain amount of vape output. the ssv by comparison is entirely "manual" because you hold the glass pieces together and hit.

where does the herbalizer fit in this? i dont necesairally have a problem with the "Controlled/reliable" vape experience but with my friends cloud i often feel its just simply not enough. the SSV is the only vape i have never got sick of because i can pack a fat vape bowl and vape much more than other vapes let you at once.

if i can just pack this thing up with a lot of nug and have it pour out the vapor i very well may go for it and order one.

This is how I feel about the VHW (VripTech Heat Wand). That thing has been making me a mummy lately.

I find the Herbie bowl to hold about what I put in the Evo's elb.

In other words this isn't the vape to use if i'm looking for another ultra heavy hitter?

The Herbie can for sure be a heavy hitter at the higher temp spectrum. The thing I really like about it is getting to customize my experience through temp control. Mid 300's for an energetic high and 425 and above for a knock on the skull. This has been my experience at least.

does it push a lot of vapor?
im interested in getting something that pushes out clouds and does quick & heavy extraction when i dont feel like holding the ssv wand up to the heater.
