Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

Old School

Vape13man
guys, I just went to INHALATER'S web site and put the cursor over top of the header TECHNOLOGY

Then I scrolled over top of COMPARISON CHART and double clicked on it and it reveals that the 6 is in fact the 6 "s" model with that 25w flex heater.

@ Old School, you will have to be the judge on this for sure, I have no way of knowing if it's a 12.5 or a 25 w heater, but the chart clearly describes the 5 "s" and the 6 as having the same exact battery and heater with the button being the only addition, so if that's correct, then the 6 is not just the 05 with an extra BOOST button.

Again, having INHALATER banned from here is hard, because it's awfully hard to confirm or deny this is true

I did enjoy the 6 while it worked.....

perhaps though I didn't notice that it was a 25 w heater, it seemed like when I had the knob turned up to 7, it was barely visable the vapor which is the same on my 05 model at 7...

when I turned it up to 9 or JUST PAST the 9, it seemed to me to be about the same as the 05 model in terms of vapor production.

GUYS, maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's a 25 w heater in there, perhaps its a NEW change that @ OLD SCHOOL will be UPDATING US all about.

Perhaps there is no more 15 w heaters and I had a rare model of the 6 that has since been changed.

Perhaps the 6 s is canceled in favor of making the 6 the same for all of us.

We'll have to wait for @ OLD SCHOOL to get back and give us some updates here soon.
Updates huh.... to funny... I'm afraid it will be the same as before..... maybe if I present it differently that might help.... I'll admit it is getting a bit busy up there in Canada..... ha ha ha ha LOL

INH1004, INH XP, INH05, and INH06 all came with the 12.5w heaters....
INH05 "S" had a 2nd 12.5w heater giving it a total of 25w....
INH06 "S" is going to have a special single heater that is 25w....

The INH06 that you had was just like mine a 12.5w..... 05 with a button....
I would've thought that the 25 Watt heater wouldn't provide any more vapour than the 15W, just get there faster?

Maybe over the course of a draw the 25W will 'recover' faster and therefore mean that you don't have to draw as slowly to achieve the same density of vapour.

Or to look at it another way, maybe if you still draw slowly on the higher power unit then the extra heat would make denser vapour.

My 05 produces very dark ABV when maxed out, so I assume that more heat would lead to combustion (or demand faster draws to avoid combustion).

I think I just changed my own mind in the course of a single post!
Not bad eh?
I know I enjoyed it..... cool to see how others think and draw conclusions....

Yes it does for the most part just get there quicker...Oh and maintains a bit better of course.... "recover faster" as you said.....then you went another way......so here let me point out another variable... which was the real reason the 2nd heater was added.... we were discussing adding more convection with some sort resonator / heat exchanger and he came back with adding another flex heater.... it is almost solely for the purpose of heating the air.... yes of course it helps with the conduction but it really pumped up the convection side of things.......

I found you comment about air speed very interesting..... funny thing.... when I first got my Q2 XP I remember always having to tell me friends to hit it very slow...as slow as you can stand to go.....
Now I find when I hand them my 05"S"... I tell them to hit it like it owes you money......don't be shy
I think it is 1 because it is twice as strong so it can handle it but more so is that hitting it hard introduces more of the convectional power....... nice catch......:peace:

This design has gone through so many differing iterations with the heater changing being the most dramatic and each time the ratio of convection to conduction has been tampered with..... as we see the device more reliant on conduction our ABV has looked very dark brown almost black looking but then as we introduce more convection into the ratio our ABV is only dark brown.....
My Q2 XP almost black my 05"S" dark brown....
I'm sorry but for $150 I'm buying a Grasshopper when they finally become available! Inhalater's had a good run but now it's time for them to step aside.
I'm REALLY hoping for "STEP IT UP" in stead......

well, that's a shocker.

Hey Old School, thanks for the info and I just asked Inhalater for an RMS number to do a warranty claim but it does say rough handing such as dropping voids that warranty so I wasn't expecting to have it covered, that would be extra

you have convinced me with the heater being a 12.5 in my latest model, it didn't seem like it was a 25w but I'm sure Inhalater themselves will deny that because they NEED to sell something.

It's basically just you on the phone with them, I'm unplugged but sort of cheering a bit from the sidelines.

It seems in every corner of the business world not just here that these days the philosophy is to go to work, get paid, go home, don't worry about what you're selling as long as you pay check cashes, then the business did it's job to SPIN things in a direction that minimized damage to the companies reputation.

I do agree with you that the design is NOT FAR from very useable, and even at its current design, it's at least doable but perhaps a bit more risky compared to some other designs.

I'm not pushing these though, but the least risk might be the best way to keep it alive and keep searching for answers

not that MORE is less for me, but I'll keep it short this time

Just got a RETURN number from Greg at Inhalater. Sometime in the near future I'll pop that in the mail and send back the 6 with the broken sensor issue.

I have had some success and so has @ Old School, but we both were still calling back for MORE UNITS so it was clear all along I would be a repeat customer.

FOR PEOPLE that are just keeping an eye out for improvements, or just leery a bit, I'd still recommend the same strategy and get the 05 model for $160. Mine works for almost one year now.

If you get one and it survives you know like half a year, the system works better with the caps if you have 2 or 3 units, so get another, but perhaps the 5 "s" or the 6

I'm finding less wear and tear on my units is helped along by the fact I have 2 units to use, so I'm on top of the cleaning of the unit that way a lot more than I would have been had I just been using ONE unit over and over and over.

I also have to add, you have to make sure you never cook a load without the screen in there, they can come out and has happened with my 004 xp, so I always double check before using that the screen is in there.

Obviously that would leave burnt crap all over the heater.

Other than that, the Blue Jays are back to sucking, but the david PRICE for success is sometimes high my friends.... so don't give up to Goliath that is industry these days.

Join me in being a David that negotiates to make the product OURS... try an 05, if works, then you'll be doing what I did in getting multiple units and reminding Inhalater you are a REPEAT customer

DO YOU REALY THINK THEY HANG UP ON REPEAT CUSTOMERS????

The 05 I think is the BEST shot to take a smaller risk and see if I'm right.

The other option is to give up and walk away with nothing to show and hope that some investor somehow finds Inhalater and plugs in.

Either way, I'm at 2 units and attempting to get the 3rd unit fixed so that I can use my 20 caps and have some fun these days.

Done with these guys, they won't answer a simple question on replacing the battery in my XP. Any of you guys know if I can and what kind of 18650 I can throw in there? Otherwise I'll be looking for a new vape...

yeah, they are like that, but they get back to me after a while.

They made a mistake with their cash I think & are looking for investors. Look at them as a DRUG contact. They have unplugged slightly while they look to solve financial issues. I am here to help and I am in contact with the company.

I also ORDERED batteries myself but not for THAT xp unit. I got the same one, the 18650, I think the 2300mh version was the one, but apparently they were using the unprotected cells which are unusual and harder to find.

Don't give up though, if you're working with an XP model that still works.

I'm hoping @ OLD School will drop in here and help you out on the proper technique to replace the battery.

It's not worth HURRYING, but sorry to hear you're having the problem, don't go back to smoking if you don't already do that, or don't do it TOO MUCH.

I love the product. I bought that PICK tool and use it too often. I have 20 re-useable PERMA Caps, so I've practically way too invested to think straight. I have 3 tins with 3 caps each to load up for an entire day.

So, please hang on to this, and don't take them NOT getting back right away too personally.

IT TOOK ME 2 weeks of knocking, but as SOON as I asked for an RMA number to do a return with, they did answer that email within a couple of days which was a good sign.

I will personally ASK them myself after checking the XP thread manually FOR BOTH OF US, since eventually I will be in the same boat as you. My XP I used less than most people until getting that PICK tool, so my battery still works.

ONE OTHER THING>>>> If I hadn't seen a message in my Hotmail about your post, I wouldn't have walked down to the library here to respond, and on the way, my buddy Jed whistle at me from across the street and had found a CASE with a grinder and weed in it, so if not for you, I'd be not as lucky today.

Tomorrow is check day for me, so I've been waiting for 2 weeks and would have been waiting one more day, but because of you, I'm a lucky sailor with sum bud to vape both my Inhalaters.

I'll pay you back by checking the xp thread but this will take a days. I'm sending a unit back to them tomorrow and will ask them as well in the letter attached to the return

good luck

I have but 1 question. @play2GETpaidTUESDAYStoned why do you try so hard to get people to buy multiple inh units? You act like a unit working for 1 year is a miracle. When in fact it sounds like just that, a miracle.
I have no skin in this game but I find it a total show that you write 7 paragraph essays on why you want other people to lose-sorry spend their money also. I keep reading this thread because at 1 time it had quite a soap opera taking place. Not so much anymore.
Seeing how hard money is to come by I really feel bad for you. I wish you weren't in so deep that maybe you could get a flowermate or somthing equally cheap and with a decent vapor quality. This is just my thoughts and I hope I don't piss you off. That's not my intentions.
I'm just curious why you push so hard.

IKR.... I think we all agree there customer interfacing is definitely one of the weaker traits.... I'm so sorry..... should I assume that your USB or at least your ability to charge the battery is your issue..... the battery itself is likely just fine....

Anyway I gave some fairly detailed steps for the XP replacement here it's about half way down the page post #2261...... good luck ....let me know if there is anything else I can help you with......

Oh and don't forget to push or tuck those little green led's in... otherwise the sliding down and then out will not happen so easily.... remove the tiny little covers {caps} then carefully push the bottom one in for sure..... you will see it....and no real need to have to try and pull it back into place when your done.... leave it recessed for future.... they felt it helped secure the PCB but it is weak at best... turns out the USB is what secures the PCB..... which is why it has such a super short life span.... without the USB in there...the PCB would simply free spin and rip off the ribbon cable..... this was addressed in the 05 rel....

Let us know.....:peace:

.... your battery is very likely just fine..... the issue is more likely that your USB port has come to it's end of life and is no longer charging the battery completely but you'll probably figure that out as soon as you try that XP battery in your 05....after a good charge anyway....:peace:

How can I know if it's coming from the USB port or from the battery...?

My usb port detect quickly when plugged and the led turn on, also the charging time is shorter than before and battery longlife too....

I didn't told you thanks about the tutorial!

Thanks (still not tried to replace the battery but I received the new one)

@HD Springer >>> you know, I just told the manufacturer that I was buying a few small flasks this year ala the Charlie Sheen years of 2 & a / half men show before the Kutcher Ash- a -ton POT years of the show changed it all.

My next flask is either another 6oz or my first 8oz Brizand and Co, the same as my first wood one that I've got on me today.

So, f#$! I"ll ask next time IF I WANTED YOUR OPINION ON ME! thanks anyways...

No.2 I'll be just as happy with my 2 vapes in my pocket, THE SILVER one of which matches the coffee cup I have.

I clean them both often, and have fun with them, using both with my buddy MARK today after breakfast, I rolled the caps up right on a bench, had the grinder ready to load 2 caps, and we both start our units, one each of our hands, and my coffee with a bit of baileys for a spike me up.

Then, I come over to the library and hit the vape one more time after I leave here. It's easy enough to load on the street, but just a bench will give me enough time 2 roll another cap, and then I'm off again to roll more caps later for dinner with more flask fuel for my pre-dinner toast...

I like this system better than anyone on here. The Dealer that hits me today walks by me as I'm vaping, that's an awesome trip, just rolled on the side of the high way my way.

I just have to ponder between an 6 oz or 8 oz matching ostrich skin brizard flask next, but Quebec is my lucky Province this month. Except I heard the Quebec Government wants to challenge Prime Minister Trudeau from legalizing it there. That part's not good. We'll let Inhalater figure it out, the mob runs Quebec I've heard.

Well I was hinting that once you put a fresh nicely charged to the top battery in it....then you'd know right away..... but I have to say I'm a tiny bit confused now......

I thought we were talking about a unit that was showing signs of having a weak battery... but that doesn't sound like "the charging time is shorter than before and battery longlife too...." it sorta sounds like you were describing a good unit...Yes.?

Did you do something to bring about this change or did something just start behaving again after not.... because that could be a dirty switch..... that happened to one of my GF's XP's.... pooped the cap off and just cleaned lint and debre of the contact arm and she was as good as new....:peace:

mahn, last night I spent about 8 caps and had several flask loads charging my coffee and I toasted the town.

I grab both Inhalaters now that I'm down to two.

Fun was carrying a tin, and not having to explain myself...

as said yesterday, I rolled on the fly with a grinder in my pocket.

Then today they have some juju joint deal in HIGH park, which the organizers will probably love me mentioning too online here... it's ONE token per customer and a thousand tokens are hidden around a PARK somewhat like CENTRAL park is to New York.

One token per customer if you're lucky enough to find one apparently get's you one juju joint

Anyways it's called the 3rd annual Halloweed Marijuana treasure hunt held by MARIJUANA INFO Bureau or MIB for short.

wish me good luck

had another good time last night with XPB 1232 and my 05

the xp is an awesome vape, and I have a spare battery for the 05 now.

@ Hd Springer >>> whacha gotta know is that these still have the most amazing potential. I'd rather not carry two types of vapes in my pocket, but I took part in a contest on Halloween here in Toronto and I won a JUJU joint made with thc oils.

I've never tried the juju joint, but I would imagine that for a disposable, it's going to give my Inhalaters a run for their money

THAT SAID>>> you are the one making a mistake, NOT me. The 05 plus an 05"s" is probably worth spending $400 dollars on. I think the BUY IN should be looked at as being $160 for the 05, and if you're squeemiish, then don't take a splash

I use clean caps and I like the taste even when not dun thru the glass cap and just thru their regular caps.

I've never had a problem with taste, and I vape from begging of the sesh right thru to the end. I like the slightly roasted taste after 5-6 minutes., I just love this vape, and to carry several shots loaded up in a small TIN in my pocket makes me easy to re-load on the fly..

That last feature is a clincher, but so is the clean up.

1. q tip in ISO to clean the inside of the unit

2. Once in a while I crack the screen off for a clean up inside where the heater is.

3. caps cleaned in ISO and then water, AND buffed down with a dry q-tip.

Overall, it's the best taste for on the go

I wouldn't want anything else @HD Springer, I just cant for the life of me understand why people don't start ordering multiple units here. I even think INHALATER would be KIND on their part to do a special CHRISTMAS edition with an 05, plus throw in an 05"s" and let's say a 5 pack of caps all for $400 reindeer bucks. Now how does that grab ya?

sound good to you over there as it does me over here?

Honestly you make them sound great. And I get that they produce great tasting vapor. I've been told just that by someone a truly trust. But that's where we part. I just would hate to see a "Newbee" for a lack of a better term to have to go down this road. It gives vaporization a very bad name. IMO
If pharmacor would have put 1 great bullet proof vaporizer on the market for a reasonable price say $190-$250 they wouldn't be where they are now. Instead of multiple models at premium prices. And I dare say they would be at the forefront of this industry.
We as a whole are getting better at making vaporizers. Hell even China is stepping there game up. So I think we should demand pharmacor produce a better made more dependable vaporizer with better cs. The only way to do that is with not supporting the way they do things now. You shouldn't have to be a repeat customer to get their service. That's bad business no matter what country you live in.
And thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Both my Xp and my 05 are beginning to decline...not enough battery life, poor performances after 2 sessions....

I bought one new battery but I get a dilemn, I would prefer to restore my Xp but I don't know if the issue is the baterry or the usb port (it charges very quickly now and got a low autonomy, usb port seems to work fine since it detect easily the micro-usb plug, I think) but my 05 is less old (autonomy is a bit better but the +20 hours charging time is a PIA and performances are a bit under my Xp).

I would like to be an electronician (or a Pipes!) so I can try to resolve myself issues and make the units better...don't want to trash them!

You must fill your house up with the GOLD, or the Inhalaters, and you will live long and prosper.

Or not though, B U T >>> trying it more the Inhalater way improves the imagination, some say.

Try to imagine a PACKAGE deal with TWO HUGE Inhalaters wrapped in a package with a big burgundy bow wrapped around it and 5 little caps stuffed neatly inside as a holiday hello...

Aside from the manufacturer.... I'm likely the best resource to assist you in making such a choice....however I'm not sure what you mean by "autonomy" especially referring to it as "low" for the XP and a bit better for the 05....? not sure what you are getting at or saying there....?

The 05 is easier to open and replace batteries so I would choose that one you have concerns of being able to replace the XP battery {there is more involved}
Also the 05 is very likely fully functional and will appear as good as new with a fully charged battery.... the issue is more likely that the charger circuitry has deteriorated or lessened it's ability to charge fully it's own battery {autonomy.?}

Honestly they will both likely work as they used to with full strongly charged batteries.... I'm about ready myself to buy a D4.... seems to be the most trusted / popular.....:peace:

Photos from this end coming soon. First of all, @Old School, I have to admit, I totally gapped out about WHICH battery I'll be ordering for a replacement to my XP

If you have the XP page number from that thread I'd love to check it out, but just off hand, what battery is it, the 2300 or the 2700mh??? I'll need to get on top of that and plan this out ahead of time

The good news is, I'm online today at ye old library, but today with one big difference. I'm on today with a MACBOOK with a wifi connection and it only took 2 seconds to log on.

I should be able to down load movies or pictures with the 2 working vapes I have from these guys.

i really disagree with the critics. The Inhalater design is still in it's infancy here and I think the 05 is the best possible one for people to order. I do not agree that they are not warrantying issues, but I would approach Inhalater several times and continue to do so until someone gets back to you. They always take a bit to get back, but I always factor neediness into things and know now that the more you need, the harder the resistance factor the universe throws back at you...

When you need less, it's often right there for free. And when you need more, it's somehow unsustainable or next to impossible to continue doing business....

Just seems like with the best things in life you just have to accept, let go and then try from a different point of view.

In my example I'm here looking for a replacement of some sort for the new 6 I ordered in September. I had to do a warranty on the 05, so I'm used to the procedure. It's only $10 bucks from where I live until it get's delivered, so since I sent it out yesterday, it should be there by today.

If Inhalater even ever GETS BACK to me, that's kind of extra, like a bonus. Because of so many HORROR stories from some out there, I'm left NOT CARING, and I just throw the caution into the wind a bit knowing that I like the product enough that I would continue calling back until the point where there was no more Back to Call to. For now, that's my strategy, and if more of you were daring enough to join me, well, we'd be seeing alot more orders and reviews right now...

For now, the biggest GREATEST news I have though is that my INTELICHARGER by Nicore was tested out on those 3000 mh batteries that come with the 05 and the 6 >>>> and great news is that I was able to charge these puppies up in 4-5 hours, so I won't be needing to charge them inside my 05.

That kind of makes the 05 my goto unit as I'm heading out the door. I have 2 batteries for that unit, and my HOPE is that they are able to FIX the current 6 model where mine has the BOOST wires removed.

Reason being: I don't really need a boost button on a 12.5 watt heater, and mine is, I confirmed that it's not the 25 watt heater, so I'd prefer they FIX the one I sent to them and leave me with the option of taking the cap off and sliding in a new fresh battery.

Oh, one other thing>>> I sent it back WITHOUT a battery in it at all...

on behalf of ALL OF US, I threw in a USED JuJu joint from all of us to CHASTISE mr manufacturer for being a BIT on the cheap side, but don't all laugh at once. It just worked out that the name happened to be JuJu, I was going to throw it in just for them to compare with the disposable market, because JuJu joints last less than 2 days.

i won it in the contest in High Park. I also treated one of my compadres who lives on the streets and we both went up to some penthouse in a swanky downtown building to pick up our free JuJu

I preferred WINE GUMS personally.

But I like it!
I love Inhalater as technology, and distrust it due to Pharmacor's rudderless business mgmt model. Thats why I'm still on the thread - waiting for them to either go full tilt and become a great company, or keep just dingling their toes in the water of vape design, and then toss it aside for this weeks model. Too much churn, not enough support. If they stopped at the 5s and gave it support I'd be back onboard asap. As it is I dunno what I'd be getting onboard with, and I know their support is flaky at best. Sadly it was Pharmacor who taught me to always have a spare vape on hand...

I've stayed off this thread for some time now. Just dropping by to see how poor old @Old School is doing trying to help desperate Pharmacor tech. owners with their problems.
Of course one person jumps in and now he has finally joined the rest of the modern world thru the use of his local library's internet suite. @play2GETpaidTUESDAYStoned it must seem mental to connect in seconds with a fully working keyboard.
So I too am very confused, and far be it for me to tell anyone how to spend their dollars, but if I were to spend $400, Canadian, I could get two Arizer Air's or Solos. Customer service with Arizer? No idea as not read the thread. Or I could get myself two Haze. Only stuff I've seen on their customer service was fukin exemplary but again not read much so there may be unhappy customers. 430 gets me a Crafty?? Seen bad but again seen good CS reviews. A couple of Summits, supposed to be rugged so you could drop this one without tightening your sphincter when it hit the deck. A couple of Da Vincis or Ascents. The list goes on. Again no idea on these as far as customer service goes but all are reported to be pretty good at what they do. I do know when someone new starts a 'Noob needs help choosing a portable' thread you often see some of the names I've dropped being recommended.

I know very little about their customer services but one thing all these other companies haven't done is get caught out schilling and making ridiculous claims as far as performance goes. I could not recommend buying anything Inhalator related.

yeah, that's too bad. I'm back to not using the laptop, it's screwed from a wi-fi cracking program. Yikes!

cannot even log in to an airport connection thru wi-fi here at the library as usual

UMMMM>>>you know that when these were WORKING in somebody's hands the reviews were rather stellar.

I guess I need like a few more cheerleading type PRETENDERS, call them the shill girlfriends that pretend to be having a fun time with the same product....

reason being is, I'm very very sure despite bad customer service issues that pharmacor is looking to get back into the game and made cash poor decisions. It was there option to come to use previous to this with a great product and just say, SORRY, not cash $$$ for much needed parts, we did the best we can

Now had they dun that, they would have had to degrade the value of what each one of these was worth and probably that's where there math fails them and they go out of business.

So I just still strongly feel that the 05 I have is not a HUGE risk for $160.

Unless you might drop it.

Perhaps therein lies the crux. Maybe for $450 I should buy a mighty (I might) just to prove that the powerful always win. They have tons of bucks for research and development and they didn't have the huge hurdles to climb that Pharmacor did in raising funds. Keep in mind they were looking for $50 grand to push the idea forward. They pushed the release date of those units last year back by several months because they only had $15 grand raised thru kickstarters campaign.

So @phattpiggie, be a phattpiggie, collect all these vapes, don't let the manufacturer with the lowest total of dollars LOSE, while you pay for CUSTOMER SERVICE>>>

while I on the OTHER HAND will take the opposite approach of a callous fan base that cares only about customer service and NOT THE WHOLE STORY. I will choose to look at both angles.

I'd like to know HOW to fix the issues of the past, and HOW to move forward, without NOT shedding light on key issues such as funding for this project to move it forward. Their unit works in my hand clearly

@play2GETpaidTUESDAYStoned I bet they would have made the 50k if they didn't piss off so many people with their nonstop antics since way before the XP days even. I remember I bought a XP from a USA vendor after being excited for it to be in stock and was never so disappointed in the build of a vape. wouldnt give them a cent of my money ever again after that.

how to move forward??? same way any company that dug themselves into a massive ditch tries to get out... closing shop or doing something REALLY unexpectedly amazing.that will really have to be something, for a company who has made as many false claims as these guys
