So I just got my car charger in the mail (the one that is red on the end) and went to test it out and found that every 1 to 3 minutes the unit would vibrate and the lights on the screen would all turn on like it had just been plugged in but then the unit goes right back to displaying temperature. Faulty cord or something with my car? Anyone else had this problem? My friend is coming over tomorrow and i'm going to test it on his car but I don't want to use it to much if it is faulty. Thoughts?
I had the same problem but realized the cord is just too short and with how much resistance it has it pulls the plug out of the unit. Keep it very close to the socket and you should be fine.

I found this as well although I was not using the official charger there is a lot of difference between 2.1mm jacks and if it breaks contact it will turn unit off, check jack and socket are clean and pushed I all the way. I am receiving replacement unit number 4 today but have decided to sell it along with about six CU's and loads of spares as I have not had much luck with this unit , I have about three of the wall chargers as well , makes me wonder how cheap these must be to produce for them to just send me out a new complete unit everytime but I have not complained ........

What is the optimal temp for concentrates
I read 380-425?
Do you guys put it directly on the pad or put a thin layer of flowers before putting the wax in?

It only goes up to 410 less there is a change I'm unaware of, but I do it at 402-405 and I typically just put the concentrate on the pad. Sometimes I take a dab and stick it in between my flowers....I vape this like normal, just for an extended period of time.

the cord is really tightly coiled but I think the main problem is there is a ton of wiggle room where the unit plugs into the charger. Even if I don't pull on the cord it will still do the plug in reset some times. Is that wiggle room normal?

Ill check and report back. Havent really needed to charge while in my car recently and I probably should test it since I got my mighty back from geting serviced.

Got my replacement mighty number four today at four twenty ironically , well I know I said I was gonna sell it but it just got the better of me and I loaded her up and got to say I started coughing me lungs up, nothing wrong just forgot how dense and thick vapour this thing delivers and now the button seems stiffer so hopefully I might get to keep it for a long time.

I am going to limit its use to once a day in the evening or something so as to prolong the life of the unit and I have got a nice padded case to keep it in when not in use and while say popping to a friends , this one is serial number #28xxx and it came fully charged.

Storz and bickel have replaced every single unit every time with a full new kit and have had the broken ones picked up via tracked UPS so no postage , really good service every time and about two weeks turn around to Germany.

Now to try the vapefiend gong thing I think.........

I received a new Mighty shipped 10 days ago from S&B America, in the mid-23xxx range!?! Had 5 outta 6 bars, took 10 min. to full charge. Guess it sat on a shelf for a short while? I see It has the reinforced housing.
Are there any other improvements that have been made to Mighty more recently? Or for that matter, since release, apart from the housing change?

I notice the c/u turns onto the unit easier than did my 3 previous Craftys'; and a c/u from Crafty fits fine, just a little more tension while putting it on. I don't believe there's any leakage from either.
Could it be they're now making these fit just a little looser to help prevent the cracking/flaking trouble around the top on the unit?

I have also enjoyed good service from S&B.

And, so far, I'm liking this Mighty. A lot.

Every once in awhile I feel a desire for something with a more stoney hit than my Mighty (which I dearly love!) and it's hard to resist putting flame to 200mg of bud in a pipe .... but sometimes I really want that one hit stone that comes with combustion!

Any suggestions for a portable that'll be more like combustion than the Mighty?
Even a desktop would be worth a try if there are no portables that can provide a cloud that dense.

Thanks, y'all

I'm guessing you're new to vaping, if so wait a few more weeks to wean you off of the toxic by-products of combustion, which can add a "stony" effect that won't feel so much like a high once you get re-acclimated.

Nube Scrutator

Cloud Searcher...
I've had the Mighty for about a month now. The led backlight has failed (works intermittently). Sending back to S&B for repair soon. Other than that it's been working fantastic.

Edit

Sorry for the repost, looks like the image link disappeared. For anybody interested in a high quality stand for your Mighty, check out newertechnology's NuStand (for Apple TV). Fits like a glove and stays on when you pick it up.

Thanks @grokit, but I've been vaping since about 2008 .... bought my Volcano in 2010. Currently keep a Mighty and a Launch Box on my desktop, along with the Volcano .... and thoroughly enjoy the light and mellow high of the MFLB during the day and the harder hitting Mighty in the afternoon and evening. But I still occasionally feel the need for that "stony" hit and want to avoid putting flame to my medicine.

If you can find, Lily.

Thanks @hackslasher, I'll look into the Lily.

I agree lily or daisy for real smoke like vapour but I would have thought the mighty at max with a good indica or hash would do the trick :leaf:

Try bumping your temps up, I find the Mighty gives me one of the stoniest vape highs. Vape at like 390 or higher.

What drawing technique do y'all use with the Mighty to get the strongest possible hit?
a. very slow even draw
b. medium rate even draw
c. fast even draw
d. slow, medium, or fast sipping ... what duty cycle?
e. something else?
Of course, all starting with empty lungs and continued until full with only enough capacity left for a small throat clearing intake of fresh air.

@HellsWindStaff .... thanks, I just now tried 210 degrees with a freshly very finely ground 200mg bowl of good quality Calif MMJ and using a steady lung filling draw. A lot better than working up in steps from 185 degrees ... but still a little short of what my psyche seems to be wanting.

I say try my method mentioned on the previous page - Vapefiend easy flow 18mm GonG paired with a D020D or similar. Remove screen from gong and tamp down loads tight in mighty bowl with a CU screen or screen that comes with gong. use mighty at max temp with this setup. The other night I was combusting the same weed in normal bongs without water, had 6 cones in a row and was not even all that stoned (I only vape with mighty now) waited a few hrs then ripped a 3/4 filled bowl on the mighty using my above method with the same weed and got completely blasted - heavy stoned feeling and all... So if that is not proof that the mighty when used optimally gets you far more stoned than combusting ever will, than I don't know what is. I am also someone who has owned an Extreme-Q and preferred combustion effects over the extreme-q. The Mighty is the only vape I have owned/used that has made combustion seem like a waste of good weed to me, and with the right setup like mentioned above, the Mighty is far more satisfying than pulling a traditional cone in its effects and the action itself.

Well I know a lot of people have been having some difficulties with S&B customer service, but I thought I'd share a positive experience I had with them just recently. I purchased my Mighty about a month ago but unfortunately the power adapter already failed. I emailed S&B informing them of the age of the unit and asking for a new charger for free. They obliged, and it arrived very promptly! I probably would have been a little more peeved about the adapter dying so quickly if my EVO hadn't arrived just as the charger breathed its last, but I thought S&B did a good job correcting their mistake and now my Mighty is happily charging :).

Here's hoping other people have equally positive experiences!

Closest I can come to getting that smoke like knock you over hit is loading some northern lights indica with nl kief mixed in the middle of bowl. Pack bowl tight with screen pushed down inside and run it threw 14mm bubbler. Take a massive hit at 190c, breath a little out but not all and hit it again, increases the effect for me. Even then I still don't think its the same stony high as toking, so my "fix" is loading a bong once a month and burn top shelf, key for me is not to fall back into smoking everyday.

Thanks @vapeape77 ... it appears that you've described the best "fix" for me for the time being. Burning a single bowl every couple of weeks shouldn't hurt too much while I look for a vapor solution.

This thing looks cool, interesting, lightweight, etc., though I have a few of questions;

It appears the Mighty's not touching the table at all. It's just being squeezed by the rubber-like seal around it? And your screen problem pre-dates the use of this, right? like the pressure on Mighty is not so bad, right? Just would like to be sure these are unrelated.

Next, Can you use the Apple Remote to control the Mighty?, and...
Can you now get Hulu or Netflix on the Mighty screen?

No problem, should mention that I also run pure shatter through the mighty with the oil pad, pretty stony hits but this is an expensive way to go. Dabs are more effective and efficient with a pen imo anyway.

I would like to mention that, ponctually, after have eaten cannabis, Mighty vapor can become really really stoney ! There is no more need/want to combust ! No need/want other vaporizer ;)
