I recorded it, but it's just gonna be too much of a pain in the ass to get it to the 'puter. Sorry.

I thought the first show went pretty much in favor of MJ. Even the negative report was pretty positive being that she was originally bipolar and suicidal BEFORE she started using MJ medicinally and she was going thru weed at 1000.00 dollars a month. Melissa Ethridge, on the other hand, gave a very convincing positive review, and that dispensary. Wow. It's a bit further to travel to, but I gotta go to West Hollywood to check it out. Pretty high-end compared to the one I go to.

lwien, i totally forgot to watch this, there is no place to stream it? Not on CNN's site?

Anyhow, just my 2 cents on dispensaries, a nicer facility and quality of medicine does not always have a positive correlation. On the other hand, always fun to go to new dispensaries to see how they are laid out. We should start a dispensary thread.

I got too watch it last night and was pleasantly surprised by the positive spin it had, especially with the negative case... I thought it was interesting to show the negative side (that small percentage that med MJ just is not for, yet everyone seems too focus on for their studies) and even she said she was for legalization, just it was not for her. And I liked what Ethridge's last comment that if it works for anything, why deny it's availability if it can help.

I also like Ethridges comment on marijuana addiction when Anderson asked her about the anti-legalization proponents who say that MJ's addictive nature and that it's a gateway drug, she said, "If you were on this side of things you'd understand.. it's almost laughable." -- so so true!

Looked for a streaming video of the show. Couldn't find it, but I did find the transcript:

that and I thought it was awesome that the person they found for the negative side of the issue still kind of put a positive spin on things (proof that MJ is not for everyone and there is a small majority it wont work for, which I think this person falls under)

Maybe I've watched too many of these kinds of shows recently but I thought that was extremely boring. And the bipolar suicidal girl kinda pissed me off.

The more boring it is, the more effective it is really. When people get 'over' the drama of the conflict and history, we'll be left with the majority of people supporting legalization and it will be much harder for conservatives to stop any legalization process. As long as it's taboo and exciting there will always be people to fight against it, when it's scientific and boring most people don't have the attention spans to care or resist.

Good point. I wasn't their intended target audience.

I liked it a lot. They're gonna cover new stuff every evening this week. That med dispensary menu was pretty slick.

Yeah. I get jealous when I see those damn dispensaries. One day I will experience that. Come on Obama.

these segments aren't really anything special. i'd imagine most of the people that frequent this forum have a good knowledge of mj already. really the best thing about these though is it's bringing the issue out into the open where everyone can see it. for the longest time it seemed like if someone brought up anything positive about mj they were just laughed at. but if you like to hear this kinda stuff theres plenty of mj documentaries out there many have been talked about on this forum and all are available on the internet in one form or another.

i like to watch it to see what they are telling the people who are undecided on the subject. are they trying to persuade them to not look at marijuana so negatively or are they trying to pull some kind of anti-pot news propaganda? so far it seems they like to put more spot light on the pros instead of the cons.

Great report tonight. None of this pot paranoia going on. Just unbiased reporting. You would NEVER see this kind of reporting on Fox.
