@BoinG Thank you so much but too little too late, I decided to try it out for science. The glass was shaped like the Underdog Stems, not perfectly lipped and since the hydratube sat on it with such minimal extra space between the bamboo & hydratree (like I said no more then like 5 mm, a pinch) I thought maybe it was just designed that way.
It actually worked pretty well, but I can't wait to try the real nail! It never milked up heavy, but I also was doing it at 1 o clock. I did a bowl of dry herbs at 1 o clock as well, after heating it up on 3. Both were pretty phenomenal. Actually took a video of me using the nail, will upload it later.
Doing another load, of dry herbs. I'll have to open a ticket when I get around to it....god knows lol. Too @New_buddy go get some herbs, yeah it sucks you just got a bunch of concentrates but its pretty damn good. Tastes out of this world, better than anything I have used bar none, and I've some good vapes too! This truly is top of the line.
My one gripe (if you can call it that), is this thing without the sleeve IMO is pretty hideous. I'm a snob about that though, and it looks pretty good with the sleeve. The plastic looks all scuffed up and just frail...I know its heat resistant and pretty good plastic and all that jazz though.
I'm actually also really hyped about the full sleeve as well, thought I'd have a half sleeve as most videos I saw were using those. Full sleeve is nice, good grip all around, was worried about the half sleeve slipping off when people grabbed and the thing just dropping.
Quality of the build seems really nice, the evolver hydratree is seriously also out of this world. Flavor monster! Seriously an amazingly nicely thick blown piece of glass.

I figured id provide an update on this situation.
VapeXhale called me, and I'm assuming they saw and read this thread based on the conversation that I had with the customer service representative.
They were extremely helpful in explaining why the mix-up happened, and, at my request, they will be sending me a HydraTree in the mail and have requested to hold my credit card info as a "security precaution" so that I can keep the current tube that I'm using in the meantime.
All's good. I'll just hold on to this oil for a few more days.
I find the quartz VXNs easier to clean and I think they stay cleaner longer--I tend to wipe the oily ring with a q-tip after each use.

yeah i experienced that for a couple days but now its smooth sailing. it gets me RIPPED off of jus as little as .03 and im good for a couple hours. this thing is saving me so much cash in my wallet. couldnt be more happy i got it. your the man @stickstones
That's the same issue I was having with mine.I'm about to fire er upbeautiful looking glass....before I go all in, I do have a question regarding the VXNs....is there supposed to be space between the top of the Nail and the Hydratube. Mine is resting on top of the nail, no extra space really...harder to draw from and there is maybe like 1-3 mm of exposed glass on the male joint with the nail in....is all this kosher? The top of the nail isn't perfectly flush either, I suspect it may be on purpose (airflow) tho I really have no idea.
Would of thought nothing of it if not for the concerns expressed earlier today
I found that if I kept the unit flat on a table and was very steady in holding the hydratube then itd give me a hit, but otherwise it wouldn't work.
I got about one half-sized hit out of mine before I just gave up and used whatever bud I had left.

I had an idea for a request, gonna mention in my support ticket, but I don't mind not dabbing out of this at the moment...I have nice rigs. But, if I could get like a coupon for a different tube that would be compatible and a nail that fits, that would almost be groovier for me. Cause I'd certainly just get it closer to the holidays and the bomb was my original choice...I'll have to see.

Dangit, that sale was too good. After eyeballing this vape for a while I finally decided to pull the trigger. (RIP my wallet.) In celebration I've also decided to lurk on FC less and participate more! Super, super excited to receive my unit. Sad that they didn't have the Bomb model available, so I picked up the Turbine HT instead. I'm sure I'll love it just as much

I don't know that any vaporizer can "Cure" VAS.
But, I have not felt compelled to purchase another flower vape since my Cloud EVO. It instantly became my daily driver flower machine and after getting mine, I gave my only bong to my sister. Truly a device that can help you Fuck Combustion.

@SamuraiSam I'm actually pretty new to enjoying herb in general (I'm a late bloomer apparently) and don't have a lot of experience with combusting, particularly with bongs -- which is part of the reason I was a little anxious to pick up the EVO since I know the technique is similar. I just figure I'll pick it up as I go! (Hopefully, LOL)

Thought I'd share how I load a bowl. Other methods have been discussed, but I like the good old fashioned scoop! It's one made for a Pax (works nicely there too.)

So...some herb fell onto the inside of my Vapexhale. Inside of the hole that you can see if you peak through the top. Also looks a bit black inside if I looked in from the bottom of the air path. Is there any way I can clean the inside of this thing?
Is it okay if I put the red caps it shipped with on the airway after filling it with some iso and shake it? Seems like it would be even more ideal with some salt but then I'm not sure if it would be safe or possible to clean that out with water afterwards.

I personally take some paper towels 2connected and twist them into a narrow spiral then push them through the bottom of the bamboo until they won't go any further. Then i take a syringe filled with 90% ISO and shoot it down the bamboo until it's full then i let it drain slowly. Afterwards i remove the paper towels and insert them into the top of the the bamboo and twist them around to help remove any stubborn stains. Then i take a hairdryer to evaporate any remaining moisture. Good as New!

What temp do you guys use the nails at? I contacted their support and they are going to try and send me out some of their original VXNs that were a bit smaller. I tried the one I got again last night, and was never letting go of my tube just keeping it mostly over the joint. Worked...OK, got 2 or 3 really fat hits on 5 o clock, but then it sounded like shit was popping, I got a little spark that shot out the top. I'm inclined to believe this is just my concentrate not being purged the greatest and the low temps...live in a nonlegal state. Even when I rested it on it earlier, tasted kind of funky. I had been running the EVO for the better part of 2 hours at that point, so I was worried I REALLY fucked up, but everything seemed ok and it vaped herbs fine like 5 min later.
I also put in a pretty massive dab....I'm really bad at judging, but in hindsight it was much too big. A FAT grain of rice.
I really like the heat retention on this thing. I turn it on like full blast, take a piss, vape some nic, have some coffee, come in, turn it down to 12:15, pack my elbs. Just vapes really really well I'm so happy with it. Last night I had it running a while, even had the "standby" lights start to flash, so I toggled the power. Just monster hits that are so tasty.
It's also, no disrespect to the Lotus cause I love it, but the most "like" smoking an actual bong. I have to be so mindful of things with the Lotus, lighter distance/duration, lung draw speed, etc. This thing I just rip it, and clear it by pulling the "slide".
I also smacked an ELB at 5 o clock, as I forgot to turn the temp down. SUCH a fat hit. I'm riding a bit closer to 3 right now. Was worried about burning initially but I prefer higher temps typically, and I'm doing well at 11, 12, 1, and 2 might as well just inch down the clock.
Gonna continue to enjoy it this morning, have a nice weekend everyone!

The plan was to use the EVO/VXNail. But he changed his mind, wanting to first experiment with an e-cig stick and a simple whip/bubbler setup. The high was clean and sustained. But the e-cig method was harsh; no thanks. The whip/bubbler reduced that, but nothing like I'm accustomed to with my EVO (with the caveat that I don't know yet how differently the nail will hit). So bottom line, while I enjoyed the effects, the delivery kinda compromised the experience for me. I think that maybe I'm EVO spoiled.
Next time we're at my place, and we'll use the EVO. So for me the jury is still out till then, damnit.

Hey peeps, I have a question about my Honeycomb.
So I am trying to get in the habit right now to clean my glass on a regular basis, even if I go a bit overboard. The HT is really weird. I am having no issues filling it with iso and swishing around and such. The issue actually comes when I've rinsed it out and want it to dry. All the rest of the water in the main chamber of the HT is fine to evaporate, the mouthpiece portion is easy to stick a paper towel into but the bottom, bottom portion (can?) of the HT is a bitch! How do we air dry that area?

I use a hairdryer and blow hot air into the entry port.
I use distilled water for cleaning and rinsing to avoid hardwater stains.
I use PBW (powdered brewery wash) for cleaning
Before cleaning, I stick degummed hemp fiber on a Q-tip to clean the entry port as that's where most reclaim sticks. Then vape the hemp fiber to "prepare for" cleaning the HT....

Anybody able to give me any input as to whether the quartz nails are worth double the price of the glass equivalent (that's what I need to pay here in the uk)
Had two glass ones already and both have now smashed after going a kind of grey discoloured way. Not sure if this is just standard degradation that won't happen as fast on the Quartz.
Fairly new to concentrates dues to my obviously terrible location

I've gotta say, despite the issue Im having with the vapexnail not fitting under my hydratube, this thing is fucking awesome.
If i pack even a tiny bowl with a nug about half of the size of a marble, I still get stupid high and blow huge clouds.
This thing is world's better than my Pax.
Also, when I look through my unit from the bottom hole I see a line in the glass near the part of the bamboo where it gets very thin.
Is this normal or is it a crack? If the line is on one side of the hole, and it "points" to the left side if the unit.

Isn't that the heater? You're looking down into the unit, right? You could be seeing the ceramic (is that right?) that's wrapped around the bamboo. I think that's what it is. I wondered about it for a while.

Wow, another hydratube? That is an even better resolution than a nail replacement!
I thoguht of that, but didn't think it would happen.
I've seen many times some weird lines that alarmed me at first but after some more thorough inspection I realized it's just some part of its guts or a line-shaped gloss. The inside of the bamboo is not very visible so thinking you see a crack in there can easily happen. The best you can probably do now is to inspect it further, look at more angles etc. Also scrathes on glass often look like cracks, but I don't think the bamboos could be scratched in the assembly.
