Ed's TnT Wooden Vapor Tubes & Vapor Stems

RUDE BOY

Space is the Place
I've Been using my goncalo Underdog stem with Ed's 'over the core' SS bushing a whole lot lately, love this thing. With it I can load only one bowl per sitdown/session where with the 'in the core' SS bushings for the same amount of herb I would need to load 3-4 times.

The performance from these bushings is really amazing, love all my glass stems and all-wood roasting tubes along with the Old style silicone/glass turbo tube type stems and the stems like the nylon with the 'in the core' SS bowl... But Ed's style of SS bushing is blowing me away.

If you own a Log and haven't tried one I recommend you pick one up, you won't regret it in the least.

My Oh My how things have changed in a few short years. It is so good to see Ed has persevered in the wood stem business. He was so good years ago and now is as close to perfection as possible with his craft. Those little dinky blocks of wood are not easy to turn into what he makes.

If anyone has had any doubts about trying one of Eds jewels, now is the time to try one out. Practice makes perfect and he has lots and lots of practice and happy customers. I still have a couple the drug cops missed over three years ago in the famed Zapville bust.

The best to you Ed. Keep up the good functional art that puts more smiles on peoples faces.

Well good afternoon everyone, hope all is well out there in yalls neck of the woods! I am back at it in the shop still digging out of the hole I have gotten myself into work wise, all is good on all fronts, kids are healthy, I am good, back is still tender but other than that the sun is out and shinning, the mornings are starting to cool off even more, its so that time of year, its a high of freaking 92 today will have a high of 78 tomorrow and a low of 47 in the morning, woooweeeee it's the most wonderful time of the year, if you cant imagine me singing it, by all means give me a holla at the number below and I will give it to ya live baby!!! Am taking a quick time out before I go get the boys for a few days so wanted to pop in.

@Aezhenn My man, you gotta try em if you have the ability to do so over there, yall will love them and by all means if you need some more advice or questions pls let me know!

@Elephantman562 Hello and thanks for giving me your first post here, its very nice to meet you and let me welcome you to FC, its a great place full of info and very wise people that know their stuff! Yeah glass doesnt take a fall well at all, guess thats what keeps me in business. I got just the piece for you and will get it out Monday, pls do let me know what you think of it and if you have any questions pls just ask. I wish you well and all the best!

@ichibaneye Thanks for all the kind words for my work, I really do appreciate it and enjoyed doing the work I did for you in the past, its always fun doing custom stuff! You know what, I have not made anything like that but am sure I could, a shifter knob seems like it would be easy enough. Not sure what glass inlay is, would have to google that but bet ya I could turn you a sweet piece! Hmmm let me know more about it and we can mull it over, thatd be neat!

@TheWhisper Watch out got another guy reaching for the wood! I hope its what you need and works to your liking, I am not sure what species you chose. Same to you bro, if you have any questions or concerns about use or cleaning pls let me know. Thanks for the biz and I wish you well!

@RUDE BOY Thanks so much for the positive words, those mean alot to me and I am very grateful! Your pieces were also really fun to make, thanks for letting me do what I do. You know thats also what I like about my bushing, the loads are much larger and no need for reloading and all that. I know the process can be time consuming for various units and I dont have a whole lot of that. I like to load one of my stems and get ripped than back to business. I am really glad you are enjoying it still and thanks again for stopping by!

@Rick Watch out, its so good to see you round here, it has been such a long time since we last spoke, thank you for dropping by Rick, its so good to see you post up! I hope you and Pat are doing well and the farming season went good for you all. I know how you both enjoy working the land and the blessings from Mother Nature! I have come a long long way since way back when, wow alot has happened in the past few years and to be honest Rick I must give all the glory to the fine folks here at FC for allowing me to do what I do and giving me the opportunity to get out of the box I find myself in from time to time. This is a great place and am damn glad I am a part of it and thank you for help and advise in the beginning, you are a solid guy, I appreciate you and your kind words! Pls tell Pat I said hello and by all means if I can ever do anything for you just let me know, would be my honer to send you a piece of wood. Matter of fact get with me if you have a log and I will do what I do and get it out to you, would be a pleasure! Be safe and take care!

I need to buy the SS brushing stem but I really want a Haze 3 stem- not the water one. I'm hoping to get to the post office Saturday and mail something to Ed that might encourage him to make or modify one.

Good afternoon, the stem you would like is that for the V3? The stems I made for the haze in the past were all wood and did not have a SS bushing, do you need a stem for another unit? Awesome hope you are able to get that out, I appreciate you!

I think I'm sending something else to you. Maybe I can do both Saturday. Do you need the whole Daisy or just the mp? Also I was writing about 2 different stems. Someone mentioned a SS one for the underdog. I don't have a UD stem from you. Also I already miss my wood Haze stem that went in the mail today with my Haze 2.5. I know Haze is mainly focused on the water adapters you make but I loved my wood stem.

Please send me your address again.

Hey Ed thanks for all the work you are putting in for our stuff! I think they just listed them as preorder on our site. If not today, tomorrow for sure. No pressure getting that next batch to us! :)

As much as we want to get those out to our customers, I felt terrible you had to pull an all nighter last week to catch up. This after jacking your back too? WTF Ed, am I that much of am ass kicker?!? Lol

Anyway brother, I appreciate everything and I'm sure everyone will be thrilled at your offering. In honor of that I'm going to throw that bad boy on top of my 187 and go to work right now!

Talk to you soon my man!

Good afternoon everyone, what a cool cool morning we had down here today, was nice and brisk, my girl thought it was freezing, I thought it was heaven. We both had to start our days early so off to work we were, that yellawood comercial has gotten stuck in my head, lol I drive my boys crazy with it also, ohhhh they hate when I tear out in song singing this tune

Its so cool though the lyrics are my life, the sun goes up, the sun goes down, work away, work away! Its all part of another day in the shop or in front of the PC, work away, work away! To alot of you all it may sound kinda crazy or just plain simple, but its what I love and what I do that makes me who I am and thankful for what I am blessed to be able to do for you all and everyone else. Got my girl coming back for another evening after she gets off work shortly, we only get to see each other once a week, twice if we are lucky, today feels like a holiday, get to see her two in a row, yay!!!

@little maggie I hope you were able to get that out to me, am excited to get my hands on it and see whats possible! You know I will get you all fixed up, hang in there with me and I will be in touch soon!

@scottg402 Ohhhh bro you are a total freaking ball buster!!! If aint one piece its 23, LOL, no sweat my man, I aint bitching, its just another day at the office/shop, there is always deadlines and trying to meet or beat them is what all the fun is about, yeah an all nighter here or there is part of it, TBH I got a little sleep thursday night, maybe 4 hours, got up at midnight and finished your order, those V3 WPA take quiet a bit of time, there is several steps to making those and I bet I put the micrometer on each piece at least 2 dozen times. If it aint at least 24 times, ill kiss your ass! Hope you enjoyed ripping off a few in my honor the other day, you need to get me out a V3, you know all I got is the crumby inner part, WTH, I like cool new shit too! Damn cant a guy get a freebie??? If ya think about it, its a write off for WPA development and ensuring a custom fit! Ill be on the lookout for it this coming week, thanks in advance my man! Oh and after a couple days, text me in the morning and let me know how well they have done, am anxious to know how popular they are. Hope you had a great weekend chief and wish you an awesome week ahead my man!

Glad everything is going well for you Ed, was just thinking about you the other day and how you had those gator tags, nice to see that you managed to snag a looker (the gators too!) Love the new stem designs and was a treat reading/knowing you're doing well. Best wishes! Expect some more work a bit closer to the holiday's from me :)

Overall quite happy with it. I like the flat screen, the surprisingly small size compared to stock stems, and most of all, its elegance, especially compared to the stock stem.

After accidentally breaking my water tool I was not able to use my Ed's WonG for almost 2 months. For my birthday yesterday I was gifted another water tool. Oh how I had missed using it. Once again I forgot how nicely Ed's WonG worked. To say the least I was in heaven on high last night. Nothing WonG about that! Hahaha.... Cheers :D

Excellent job on my stems Ed ,I love the natural scent of the Vera wood Right now I'm just using your new o ring prototype. I'm usually very careful with my stuff, but I'm gonna but it through real world ab/ use. Have been removing wood stem from metal sleeve while hot and putting back on. Mixing up the temps on my solo etc. So far so good .will send you some photos after a week or two to show condition. It must be a pain rolling that o ring on to begin with, that must have been tight. Promising upgrade so far

Hello and good evening everyone, I hope all has been well out there! I myself have been busy busy as always, yall know that, it never ends! Anyways all is good been hanging with the boys, working wood, doing time with my girl, working wood, hanging with the boys and working more wood. We have finally gotten some rain here the last couple days and may get a little more before weeks end. We have been under a severe drought statewide, even had a burn ban in place by order of the governor. Its been really really dry, wouldnt even think of burning anything but being in the country as I am I tend to have a little bit of a fire bug in me at times, especially when I have a ton of wood scraps and short cutoffs, fire fire fire!!! Going to do some more gator the end of the week with the boys, got some Dales on the counter ready. Supposed to have a great day at church sunday, we are going to have a harvest festival, a couple of bounce houses/jumpers, hay rides, corn hole games, snacks & finger foods, just have a blast, the boys and I are so looking forward to that. To be honest I have been so stinking busy I hadnt thought my absence had been so long here, I have just been going and going and going.

@little maggie Got ya, all is good and I thank you for getting these out to me, you are the best and I look forward to working on the new stuff, maybe just a little bit though, have a bunch on the bench to get done now and plenty here and there but will make it happen!

@SSVUN~YAH Wow bro, thats old school there, lol, nice oldie but goodie! Hope you are doing well my man, thanks for stopping by!

@bounce5 Hello and thanks for your inquiry, I have heard of them and have spoken to a dealer or twwo about it but really never pursued it. Thing is I just dont know the exact length it needs to be from the top of the threaded SS cap, I dont want to make it to long and it not fit in the storage area of the unit and you not be happy with my work. Could you give me the length of what it needs to be and we could go from there? Thanks again and I look to hear from you again about this.

@jambandphan03 Hey hey, hello my friend, its been a long long time, I have so missed you!!! Its great to have you stop by, had I heard your knock at the door I would have yanked ya in for a big big hug, damn it girl! I am so glad to hear you are still at it working the glass I know you have to have come along way since you started, I would love to hear about it and even see a piece or two of your work! I hope you took a stroll back a few pages to see what all I have been up to, my boys are getting bigger and my oldest will be 14 on the 11th next month, my baby boy just turned 7 last Friday gosh time flies! I enjoyed the video, nice one, lol. I really hope you and your old man are doing well out there and hope to see another post from you soon! Wish you well and all the best!

@HellsWindStaff Hey my man, good to hear from you also bro! Glad you liked the read and all my goings on, been very blessed and happy as can be these days! Am thankful and got alot to be thankful for, God is good and has been great to me, even when I have been down and out with my head in a hole there are always better days ahead! Glad you like what I did and hope you like what I have for Show & Tell below! Thanks for stopping by and just holla at me when you wanna get something done!

@Eyedunno Well well if that aint a pretty pair you got there! I so dig your rig and the blackwood stem, nice contrast and I feel you are so right, the stem is so elegant, blackwood is by far one of my favorite woods! Thanks for posting up, appreciate that!

@TheWhisper Hmmmm so you say, wheres the pic of your rig and all??? Sure would like to see what your working with, lol! Come on now, whats the word on that thing, how do you like it, hope you enjoy using it bro, pls fill me in!

@ichibaneye Wow bro, thanks so much for the kind words! Its sometimes easy to forget how much fun these little pieces of wood make a good time much mo better. Like that "Nothing Wong about that", good one chief! Got so much I am working on bro, hope you will have a look below also. Thanks again for the kind words and pls let me know if I can ever do anything else for you!

@Elephantman562 Right on my man, glad yours showed also, glad you like it but aint going to give you a pass on not posting up a pic! Thanks for the kind words and I appreciate your stopping by, wish you a great time with it!

@rizzo Good deal, Ill give you a pass cause I posted up your pieces earlier, lol! Glad you got them and yes I too like the natural fragrance of that species, is always fun to work! Yeah do all you can with the oring design, I wanna know you put it through hell and so hope it works out like I hope, would be a big big deal for me and my work. Am super anxious to hear what you have to say, pls dont wait to long. Thanks for the work and letting me do what I do!

Now for S&T, I posted this mocked up earlier, the design is still similar but a little more flavor and length with a bit more of an angle but what you see is what you all will get! I feel very certain its going to be a hit! Its in route to the guy that commissioned it to me, I have not tried it as the unit he had sent me was brand spanking new and didnt want to be the first to break it in. I feel without a doubt that it will perform and so look forward to his results. So here we go

Lotus%20Stem%20PNG%203_zpsm1rkvu1p.png

Now, it has a 2" down stem turned to the OD of the widest point of the WPA, it has an inner hole that is pretty close to the OD of the tapered end of the WPA. The WPA has a high temp oring within a groove on the upper end of the taper which fits nice an snug down within the down stem. The down stem has a nice bead turned at the top and bottom of it to add a little flavor and match the beads somewhat on the draw stem.

Lotus%20Stem%20PNG%202_zpshaq9fhn5.png

The draw stem itself is 6"L and Ill be damned if I didnt even think to gauge the angle of it, never even thought of it, just liked the placement and had the wood wedge in place under it to give it the angle it has. Hmm guess I could have thought of that but hey we all know what happens!

Lotus%20Stem%20PNG%201_zpsq7r6mzc8.png

I can say that it has a great angle that fits nice in the hand and is way below where it is normally, I like the way this feels and gotta believe its a winner winner chicken dinner!

Lotus%20Stem%20amp%20Base%20PNG_zpsgkcpidrc.png

Now, this is a piece I did for the guy as a little something extra I just wanted to do, was the first attempt but think it is cool enough for being the first. Have given a thought or two for the next one, not sure if there will be many of these though. Got in a little hurry doing the base, its a really nice piece of curly walnut I dug out from under the bench in a hiding spot, had me guessing for a couple days what it was but figured it out. Anyhow was ripping it a little thin and ohh these Freud saw blades really arent to particular about what they cut and kinda got a bite out of my birdie finger on my left hand, wasnt nearly as bad as I first thought, did bleed like holy hell, squeezed it awful tight ran in the house under the faucet and light, gave it a good rinse and cussing, looked it over, figured cant sew up what aint there so I wrapped it up and saved myself a few hundred dollar trip to the ER. Just took a little meat off the end of it was all, got some neosporin + pain and was back at it the next day. I had a job once at a metal factory, we made AC venting and such for homes with sheet metal, they gave you gloves but they kinda hindered you more than helped you, seemed to always be in the way. Anyhow, did my best and quickest work without them, wasnt long after I started working there and am sure you all know sheet metal is sharp, a guy told me if you dont bleed 4 or 5 times day, you arent working hard enough, hmmm didnt take long to see he was right, took nicks and cuts all day every day to make a good days work. After a couple years and several trips to the ER for stitches I figured there had to be something else I was good at.

I hope you all like what I did for the Lotus and hope to have these available at my site very soon! Pls let me know what you all think and by all means spread the word!!!

Damn Ed that's super gorgeous! (shocker)

Just like an old school wooden pipe, in fact it's essentially like a wooden J hook (L hook?), me thinks with a standard 14mm (or even an 18mm version) even non Lotus owners would be all over these my man!

You never fail to impress!
