So here is the update...
I still do not have the ability to take payments. Unreal how long this is taking. I thought I was almost done yesterday, then I read the terms and they want to take 10% of all of my sales on top of all the processing fees and put them in a reserve account until I reach $30,000 in that account! This account accrues no interest and I would not have access to those funds until 210 days after I terminate the agreement. Wow! So more searching, and now I hope I finally found the one. Everything is filed and I am in underwriting now, but since it is the weekend, I probably won't be back up and running until next week.
On a more positive note, I found out from the manufacturer who is making my caps, that they had to add another stage to the tooling, but it is almost done. So if all goes well, I should be in production AND selling by the end of the month.
Who would have though it would be so difficult to design, manufacture and sell such a simple vaporizer?
I think I could have brought a smartphone to market faster.

Again I need to thank everyone for their support.

George

If he already had a slew of VapCaps to ship and the only thing holding him back was the shopping cart, that might be a worthwhile approach to getting his product delivered ASAP, but that is not all there is to it. Since we are still just talking preorders (the product is not ready to ship), I think it makes more sense for him to wait until he has a properly working and zipless shopping cart that he and his customers can rely on. It has taken this long, he may as well do it right. I don't think anyone is walking away in the mean time... ;)

That's what I mean simple bank transfer?
Have you ever done a bank transfer? Most people haven't, and asking your customers to do it would be a logistical nightmare. Even a simple mailed check wouldn't be sufficient because it could take several days to a week+ to clear.

Believe me, once Paypal says no, it's very hard to take money online via a website. Some credit card processors like Stripe.com will let you "sign up in minutes" - and you can start taking credit cards. But 3 days later when someone reviews your account, they lock it and refund the money to customers.

Selling vaporizers is considered a "high risk" item and it can be challenging to find payment gateways who will accept sales on these items. I was fortunate enough to have 6+ months of paypal & bank statements showing my business had zero chargebacks and disputes, underwriting for me wasn't as painful. @VapCap - if things fall through next week with your underwriters, PM me - my merchant account rep was awesome - responded to my emails within 15 minutes any time of day, and had me up and running within 5 days like she promised.

Well, where I'm from most people do banktranfers on a weekly basis (and we didn't get chips in our cards yesterday, and the use of checks was banned over ten years ago wink wink), but this is done when you pay bills and such.

VapCap is to be sold internationally, and I know how different online bank solutions are from country to country.

This is why George would need a standardized system, that gives ALL customers a sense of security.

Imagine if you saw this vape online, liked it, knew nothing about George, and when you tried to pay you were asked to transfer money directly from your online bank account to his.

Even for me, who live in a place where I can do that from my phone, wouldn't.

I just wouldnt trust a stranger online like that.

So let's just accept that this needs to be sorted, and remember the saying: all good things are worth waiting for :)

Many times each month
Kids pocket money, Gardner and people I pay
I did say just for now and I meant for people on FC
Many people on here wanna pay now and it's a way for George to make a little now without a third party
Not sure it's such a bad idea!

Please guys, don't make the mods create yet another "XXX shipping thread"! :)

George is giving us plenty of direct updates and he can't play faster than the music... I'm sure he would prefer to be able to take all your orders if he could do it simply.

OK,
So it looks like I found a better payment processing option. I have all of the paperwork in and am just waiting for the underwriting again. I have been told it will be quick and could happen tomorrow. They also want to send an inspector out to my shop to confirm I exist! I can't wait, this will be interesting, maybe he will like this sort of thing? So hopefully no worries, I'll be able to take orders soon.
I really appreciate the interest in this idea, so thank you everyone for helping to keep this thread alive. I think this forum has been the most valuable contributor to the success of the VapCap.

Cheers,

George

Hi @VapCap ... I am a long time vapeur and own several vapes ... see my signature. In spite of all these vapes, I am still on the lookout for a vape that is best for international air travel... something that looks explainable and can be cleaned very thoroughly. Currently, V2 Pro is the one I use for this purpose since it looks like a e-cig and the herb chamber comes off the main unit and can be iso soaked. I am now looking at VapCap as an alternate for international air travel. Seems like the all glass one is best for complete ISO soak? Although Woody looks good seems like it cannot be fully ISO soaked/cleaned? How about the Ti one, can that be completely cleaned? Is there an all Ti version with no glass (I couldn't find it listed on your website) ?...Please recommend a product that is completely cleanable. Hope you are online soon for orders, I hope to purchase one...:) Thanks.

The basic is cheap enough to buy one for use aboard then throw it away with no worrying but yes the basic can be completely iso soakable. George turned me on to pipe cleaners also working well to clean it.

The wood one will absorb oils that I don't think you could clean out.

Yes George is working on an all Ti model with no glass. I see no problem with a complete soak of the Ti model.
