Guys, no offense, but if you want to blow bags I think you are way better off with a bag blowing vape like the HA. I recommend that over the well loved Volcano only because you can test out your love for bags for under $200 rather than $500.

I mcguyver stuff too, but this vape is SO KILLER at doing what it does that I don't feel a need to make it something else.

And, on a personal level, keep your hose away from Venus's intake you... you... guys. :)

Obviously air is going to pass through an intake????

If I was so inclined I would ramp up the velocity slowly with a valve, but no need if the heater can't handle sustained air flow. I don't have a zion and would not be so inclined if I did, but it's still fun to consider.

To be clear, my concern is that the heater would be damaged or dislodged, not that it couldn't keep up.

If you wanted to use a bag with the Zion, I think something like the homemade vapor lung Alan uses with the HI is probably the best solution. Faster than a fan would be, much simpler, and fully controlled by the user. Trying to enlarge the intake and wire up a fan, not to mention just finding a fan made of decent materials to add to your air path, seems clunky and complicated in comparison. Plus you have to power it with either a seperate battery or wiring it into the Zion's existing circuit.

Vapor Lung passed through my mind as well the other day but it won't work cause you need two hands for the Lung and one hand to press the fire button on Zion... :( Better use those Lungs with Solos, Airs and logs! ;)

The fire button can be held down in a number of ways, a piece of tape probably being the simplest solution. Still though, it does make it somewhat of a clumsy solution and as others have suggested it might be better to just use other vapes if you want to use a bag.

Since I've been looking in the underdog thread so much, have exotic woods on the mind and got me to wondering if the zion will ever be offered in different wood bodies? Probably a bit future down the line of production but think be a neat concept to fiddle around with

Gotta say I do not get the appeal of the bag at all. Perhaps it's a medical consideration I am not familiar with, but I tried the "gold standard" bag vape, the Volcano, multiple times and never liked it. The vapor always tasted stale, and while it did the trick ultimately, it made getting there much less pleasant, for me at least. Give me direct draw or water adapter over a bag any day of the week.

I feel the same way about bags, tho I can see its value in certain medical situations or individuals where draw strength may be poor.

I feel like converting a Zion to fill bags kinda defeats the purpose of owning a Zion. I personally like bags mainly because I can fill one and go about my business in another room. I intend to use the Zion for this and assign my EQ to a desktop whip.


Of course like stated, for medical reasons I will use the bag. When I had a tooth pulled, I used a bag to avoid complications while healing.

If the RBT tech. does ever go desktop how about a vaporpunk hookah? Loaded with Heath Robinson whimsy. Bubbles and Van de Graaf sparks...
Possibly with the option of multiple hoses. A party vape.
A big flat bowl with perhaps a couple of RBT's patented heaters configured under it. Everyone involved could add some of their own greenery for a full on Zionated cocktail.
I thought my mind had run out of 'clicks' but something else comes up that could be achievable in the future. What's the two words I am looking for versat..no, effor..no.
FUKIN GREAT that's the two words that sum it up.

It makes me think that the edge RBT could bring to desktops is a party vape. Something capable of supporting more than three people. Something capable of bringing over to a smokers house and convincing them.

In all honestly, I couldn't imagine it! In my mind excluding my own selfish reason, the selling point to me of a zion is the ability to convert tobacoo/weed mix Bong smoking mates! Love to see what a wall plug will do
