Acquire more herb than you can use?

@kellya86 it is good that mmj is being legalised but i hope that people won't still be prosecuted between now and 2017. Medical users need a reliable supply as soon as possible imo.

Australia doesn't let boatloads of asylum seekers die at sea. They are picked up and taken to Christmas Island. From Christmas Island they are transferred to Manus Island (papua new guinea) or Nauru. Since this policy was put in place, the boats stopped trying to come because they knew they would never be settled in australia.

Depending on your point of view, this policy may be genius or inhumane but it is not leaving people to die at sea

Of course, the number of asylum seekers australia received was always tiny in comparison with europe/uk.

I do. Sometimes I thinks it's a problem. But then I used to collect wine too. I have way more wine around than I need or consume. But at least it gets better with age (up to a point.)

I have to put my purchases on a spreadsheet so I can keep track of where and when acquired. I sort it by strain type. Ok, the admission I have to make is that I have 38 Sativa or Sativa dominant strains; 15 Indica or Indica Dom strains; 6 high CBD strains. Amount varies from just a nug of some to 1/8ths of many. I also have 3 vape pen batteries with 5 Sat and 2 Ind cartridges.

That's my confession.
I could have written that except no carts and added wax/shatter. But no spreadsheet

Sitting on .25 oz and about to pick up another .5 oz. Not sure why. It's very much for my very lightweight self. Already contacted a bud letting him know not to stress if he runs low. I should be good for a good while. Thanks, all, for making me not feel like I was crazy.

Aquire more herb than you can use, difficult.
Aquire more avb than you can use,
Much easier.
The thing with the avb is whenever I make edibles, I'm incapacitated for the day. I'm a busy, young family, hard working, kind of person and it's very rare for me to have a whole day to be cabbaged on a sofa. So as a result of this I am accumulating much avb. If I knew anyone who needed chronic pain relief for whatever reason I would gladly give it away to help someone. And my avb is good quality, not too spent. Still flecks of green in some. What do I do with it. Thinking of making a concentrate from it.

Yeah I chucked some away the other day because it just accumulates so quickly :p (wasteful, I know)
I'm sure I remember reading someone saying they did a quick ISO wash with avb but don't remember if it was any good/worth doing.
I'd be interested to hear the results if you do try it :)

It's perfect for its medicinal qualities as the majority of thc is gone. I'd like to make it into a sweet liquid form that I could give my gran for her dying painfully feet. But am unsure how I would go about that. Maybe grinding really fine and mixing with coconut oil?

Herb gardener...
Thank you I have been looking into this. Am unsure of its effectiveness compared to ingestion but maybe as an extra to an oral dose.

I think topical salves should work well, I rememember reading a thread by badkittysmiles mentioning straining oil with bare hands giving her some almost-immediate pain relief

[edit] found it..
I know the actual post is regarding edibles, but she briefly talks about straining the goodies without wearing gloves

But when I make oil for myself, and for one older woman who tells me she's allergic to everything from Poly, to Nitrile (hers are finished and wrapped in wax paper), I go gloveless (bareback... lol). The straining process usually gets my joints a little sore without equipment to do it for me, but the canna oil helps my hands and wrists in an amazing, almost-immediate way. I used to be a bit of an 'athlete', and had to stop at a young age due to some arthritis and other health issues.. thinking back, I may not have had to stop so soon if I'd know at the time what canna could do for me. Topical canna is great for the back, shoulders, knees, wrists and fingers... anywhere that's less than a few inches from the surface of the skin gets fast relief.

Herb gardener...
Thanks. Seems like these oils seems to work. I will try. Lots of reading ahead of me tonight. Thanks again for the links. My gran has suffered for 10 years with her feet. She has exhausted all other options and is now willing to break the law to ease her pain if possible.

I tend to acquire more than I can use, it's a decades old habit. Back in the day even the most steady supply could be gone in an instant so you had to plan for contingencies. I hated running out so I'd generally buy as much as I could afford at one time, especially if it was good. I also tried to have multiple unrelated connections in case something happened to one.

Now that I'm in a medical state running out isn't really an issue and I have access to many strains. I've always been a flavor chaser while I was a smoker. I quit combusting a couple of months ago. Convection vaping has made me obsess over flavor, intensified my hoarding tendencies, and turned me on to the art of the long cure.

The tastiest stuff goes to the back of the rotation and I always vape the least tasty first. Of course I occasionally vape the super tasty stuff too as a treat. When I find a particularly tasty specimen I buy as much as I can afford. I don't have a huge budget so I tend to get 1/4-1/2oz max of each strain. That's fine because I only consume maybe half a gram a day on average.

A lot of the strains I get are potent but not fully cured so keeping them in the back of the rotation allows them to finish curing and improve flavor. For instance, my Chocolope has lost nearly all grassiness and the chocolate flavor is more pronounced after a month of curing. Another month and it should be perfect.

I've only been keeping a rotation like this for a couple months, but I am already building up quite the stash of heavenly flavors. I plan on occasionally using these to convert combusters into vapers. It's also nice to be able to pull out something extra tasty for special guests and occasions, it's just like opening a nice bottle of wine from the cellar.

I hardly ever have extra, although I usually have something growing. If anybody needs to dispose of some surplus dank buds, I will pay the overnight fees so it doesn't go to waste. Because I'm here to help

Open invitation to all East Coasters and non 'mericans: Take your holidays in Oregon or Washington!...just bring yourselves and as much disposable dollars, pounds or whatever convertble assets you have available...we will be pleased to take care of the rest...Stay anywhere on the Oregon Coast or on Orcas Island in the San Juan's in Washington. Natural beauty and great bud are a killer vacation combination!

Washington retail has been up and in place for a while now, Oregon retail has been initiated and is to be fully up and running next year....

If you really want to see how bad we have it here, pull up leafly.com, tell the site that you're in a city in OR or Wa and hit the tab to locate dispensaries nearby. Then spend hours scrolling through each dispensaries menu and imagine what it is like to truely be an old kid in a young candy store....the variety is absolutely stupifying!

The world wide view of the US is predominately negative...Some of those views are justified...And it's true, there's a lot of things that suck about America, but the availabilty of top shelf herb at great prices and near pristene natural outdoor beauty here are not any of those!

Oh yes, I forgot, there is only one requirement about vacationing here and that is that you have to go back home at the end of your holiday...if everyone who visited decided to stay, Oregon and Washinton would become just like California, over crowded!

Haha, I love this. I too have a slight problem, but not as bad as some of you! I try to keep a mix of 15 or so strains at a time mixed Indicas (My favorite) Hybrids, and Sativas. Plus 10-15 types of concentrates. Right now I'm running a little lean with 13 types of Flower and 9 types of concentrate. I prefer nug run shatter or very low lipid content wax. I am about to get some full melt bubble I am VERY excited about. I still have not tried any of the dry sift trich heads some of you guys post but I bet it's amazing! I should buy a screen but I would only have nugs to use, no sugar trim here :(

When I have extra bud that is getting really old and I have fresher/better flower to smoke and vape I usually run BHO or make edibles with it. Looking into re-hydration and rosin press techniques but I need a better squishing system. My yield sucks compared to BHO.

I'm tempted to cross-post this in the fuck you !!! thread, but I'll stop here

LOL, I know that sounds like a lot but I rarely buy more than an ounce of any strain and sometimes only a 1/8. So out of the 13 strains there's only maybe 3.5-4 oz at any given time and I usually only get 5g of each concentrate (No access to slabs). So I end up with less than an Oz of that on hand at any given time. Lots of strains and products but not that much weight at all. But there is still a surplus since it's only my girl and I smoking on it and she doesn't vape, smoke or dab like I do!

I have access to two excellent caregivers, I have 8 jyarz satchmos filled (quarter in each) and 3 nogoos with shatter (well, a very goopy oil, now). I like to have a variety for various uses, different flavors....it was a dream of mine years ago to one day have access to so many different strains, so that I can sit down on my couch and pull out a box of herb similar to a box of varied chocolates, waggle my fingers in anticipation, crack open a few containers to smell and choose my vice of the moment :)

Thankfully there are myriad options for storing weed so it won't go "bad" before it gets vaped, so I guess I never have more than I can use....
