Having a shite memory I have to search and read shit over and over again.
@vapen00b from what I've just re-read yes you can charge at higher amps but it decreases the life span of the battery. There are optimal and max charge rates. Efest sell a 2a charger but do not recommend it is used at 2a all the time.

Yeah, that can be. Afaik 1 A doesn't hurt very much. Don't know about 2 A - wouldn't do that all the time and even don't know a charger supporting that. Me has the i4 - so I'm snailing at 0.75 Max.. Hehe

Xtar SP2 0.5/1.0 and 2a. I read that some 26650 were okay at 2a. I'm quite happy to continue with my D2.
I've got plenty of batteries for my butchered 05. Once you lunch it, embarrassingly with friends, you try not do it again.

Anybody got any info or has used this battery charger, is it any good. I like the look of the display better over the Nitecore

The XTAR VC4 is capable of charging batteries considerably faster than the Nitecore D4 with a choice of either 500mA or 1000mA compared to 375mA or 750mA for the Nitecore. For optimal performance, the XTAR requires the separate use/purchase of a 5V 2.1A USB wall adapter. Both units are widely counterfeited so important to make sure you get a 2015 model Nitecore with a validation code on the package or get the XTAR from an authorized dealer and check the 18 digit anti-counterfeiting registration code against their web-site.

Hello everybody. I'm sort of the silent high mileage test mule on the Zion beta testing team.

I've got the #6 unit, and as a chronic pain patient in Washington state, I use about three to five grams of flowers per day blended with about a gram of natural organic solvent free concentrates (kief, black tar hash, bubble hash, dry ice hash, supercritical CO2 etc).

So, in short, my beta test unit has very high mileage.

And the really boring truth I have to report is that this thing just pumps out quality vapor on demand in a consistent and highly therapeutic manner. It just works, and that's why it gets use all day every day.

As a bonus, I. Appreciate how easy and safe is is to use in bed, particularly while laying down on my side. I require the ability to quickly vaporize of I'm am awoken by severe breakthrough pain, and a packed and ready Zion by my bedside has improved my quality of life by allowing me to get back to sleep easier since I do not have to fiddle with anything complicated in they middle of the night.

@ChippyMalone Constant pain is no fun what so ever. I do feel for you. Luckily you have the option of being able to chose the substance you medicate with. One day maybe everyone will get that choice.
Pleased to hear your Zion is helping you and that it's consistent in it's delivery. I like the 'boring truth'.
Can you tell us how battery life is for you. I am currently using 3.5/4 grams a week the lower end of your daily usage. On average how often do you swap out for fresh?

I have to admit out of all the nice comments the Zion has received I think 'boring' is my favorite adjective so far.

To me that's a slam dunk review as it means there's no drama involved, just desired results so predictable and reliable that it becomes taken for granted. Perfect!

 Its that same feeling that made me feel like I was done with vas since Zion was just so effective as a vaping ideal for me

Very much like computers, some of us obviously love this stuff. Its a hobby for many and even an adventure for some. But for others this (vape or computer) is just an appliance. It is a device we use to reach a goal.

I don't find Venus boring at all, but I like and notice how little drama it entails every time I use her.

I felt that too for a while. But it was a fools cure I'm afraid. Another is calling out my name again... ;)

It does fill an entirely different niche, however...

Has anybody tested the Zion out with other herbs like chamomile or damiana? I will sometimes vape these if I'm looking for something different and want to know how they would work in the Zion.

I'm sure that won't be a problem as you can adjust voltage/draw speed/preheat etc. to get the whole range of temperatures. Must admit it would be cool, if we could figure out what dial settings we use for different flowers and share these infos when King Zion arrives. I'm into vaping other herbs too (sage, thyme etc.. Very good for your respiratory system:))

Think a Zion is winning me over more so than the grasshopper I was very interested in getting, my only compliant on the Zion is the lack of stealth but I have asked myself why that is so required for me as I tend to vape in the home or at friends homes, so I've answered my own question and am more committed than ever to get a Zion in my life hopefully sooner the better. Having a reviewer saying how wonderfully it works (albeit "boring") for him makes me like it more and more, such a simple design and function that simply does the job , excellent work.

As a flavour snob of sorts who does the Zion stack up on that front, I'm after getting a VAP3 for true glass on glass tasty vapour at home and using the Zion either on the go, around a friends or when I can't be bothered to setup the vap3. Sure it's great in vapour density and flavour?

@anasrzi I have 4 Underdogs and an E-nano. Along with several other Vapes. The Zion is a flavor chaser's dream. You can set the dial on the low end and ride the flavor train all day. Then you can also crank it up and combust if you really wanted to. My point is that Zion covers that entire range from flavorful sips to dab-like rips!

After hearing this it's a must buy for me now, I love a big fan of flavour country but like the idea of blast this cloud or ten :D. So it's ticking lol those boxes right now can't wait till release will have to stick to my trusty lotus for now it does a pretty good job as it is but is certainly not stealthy in the slightest.

Another Q for you beta testers why of the glass stems are you guys using and will there be a choice of which one you want when ordering do you think? The small stem would up the discreetness but the medium one I would think will cool the vapour that little bit more, don't fancy the longer one as I want a unit that's packaged up together for transport and sampling with friends.

I'd be happy with just the medium stem or the short one but really just the medium, got a few glass bits that will also for it to turn it into a 18mm fitting in the bong, can't be bad.

I think the Zi will.come with long and medium, not long and short. The medium still fits in the Zi body but the short is made for the single battery stealth unit
This is correct. The long stem is intended to be used for learning purposes as it allows a good view of the action.

Also, if you get an extra stem, get an extra medium or short that way if you break it you'll still have one that fits under the lid. It sucks if you're stuck with only longs.

That's good to know many thanks :), I've got a ascent 14mm stem and a 14mm/18mm reducer/increaser I assume that would also fit if I broke the first one in the future? Obviously with that adaption it wouldn't fit together but would be fine if worse case scenario I dropped and broke the original.

Hope everything is good for @thekarmawhore and the rest if the team, plenty of guys in here are eager to see what's happening next.

Yeah dude, DH covered it well, full temp spectrum here and all pure materials ensures truly mouthwatering flavors. Slow sip/fast rip!

We'll see if a choice is offered of short, medium, long for the second stem included with all production Zions. Plan for it to be long was before short was added, probably still the safest plan, but I like the idea of offering a choice. I pretty much exclusively used my standard medium stem, I also like storing and found a shorter tube easier to draw through (perhaps since my Ziggy had an even larger air intake than everyone else). We'll see when pre ship emails go out of course...

Also reducer works fine in Zion, I posted a while back with pics about rigging up a 18-14 GonG with a 14-14 adapter and a reducer, helped me use Zig with 14mm water tools. So you should be able to use your 14mm Ascent GonG as a reversed stem, just may be trick to get a screen in there is all (can check what I did with mine in the pics, still think it was rather clever! though still not as good as a regular stem or GonG with stock screens natch)
