Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

alltoreup

Damn you, party liquor
I just heard back from VXL support about the nails. They did confirm that the Maria(rim) on the new nails are lower on the newest batch so clearance would be an issue and he was letting the team know. My new nail sticks up .5" above the maria on the nail, which puts it almost .6" out of the bamboo and it hits the splash guard of the Evolver Hydratree.
My two swagger HTs have higher guards so it's not an issue.

edit: VXL contacted me again and said they were shipping out a new nail that they tested in a Hydratree and it worked. So cool! I didn't even ask for a replacement. Love their customer service!

Maybe try setting the dial to 12 and switching on/off a few times.:huh:
@Cannabis Connoisseur mentioned it would reset the unit to defaults.

Where was the dial set when you had the flashing green led?
How long had the unit been on for?
Tried still no avail . It was on for about 40 mins , just had a toke and put the temp up to the 1 position and it started to blink green. Turned it off and turned it on again still with the flashing, then I turned it off and took off the sleeve left it for an hour now and still nothing.

Think its dead. Really really disappointing only had 3 sessions on it.

Shit :ugh: Sorry for your loss mate :(
I hope VapeFiend.com can sort you out quickly
That's actually good. I think highly of those guys and since you just got it you might just get a quick swap out.
Yeah all packed up now and ready to send back for tomorrow, hope they don't make me wait all weekend to receive a new one though. I was very skeptical about getting this vape for this reason alone, it seems fragile. Anyway will update when I find out whats going on, we will see how good Vapefiends warranty is like with the Evo.

Hey guys I need a little help again.
I came up with these parts to accomplish the same task the couldbuddy dose.

laboratory equipment anything from 30 - 50 bucks (Claisen-Adapter)

If you would just give me your opinion, on witch one you would go for and why, would be a great help.

The only thing came to my mind would be the offset with the y-shaped one would change the center of gravity. (could cause some of my glass pieces to tip over more easily)

The second one would go well with the stopper - you would pull it out to the side. I would feel safer that way, if the stopper was for some reason locked and you just pulled it out hard so you would pull out the whole Y adapter with the vape in and it could fall and break. Yes, I'm probably making insane slippery slopes there, but the possibility could be there.
The last one is one I would probably go for. There is the reason that the original is shaped like that - you can connect two vapes at once and when you connect just one, it can be straight, so it wouldn't be off-balance like the first "Y" shaped one.

A more difficult question that it may seem . . .

On the piece at top, and the one at bottom-right, you need to be sure that the distance between the two joints is wide enough to fit the EVO in one joint and the plug in the other joint. E.g., with the CloudBuddy, the EVO sits close to the other plug joint; another ~1/2" and they would touch.

As far as balance, that will be effected by the piece it sits on. E.g., I use the CB with a Mobius Ion which has a 5" base and dewar joint, so I place the EVO in the female that lines up with the centered dewar. If I put the EVO in the outer female it is off center, and while it doesn't tip over, a bump could make it do so.

This all assumes you are fitting the EVO in the adapter, as opposed to, say, using this to connect more than one glass piece. In that case, it's hard to say what would work best w/o knowing the setup.

If I were trying to match the CB, I'd be inclined to one of the bottom two. Both are fine as long as the EVO fits. With the bottom left piece, and say if you had a Mobius stemless, you might have to put the EVO in the side joint, which requires you to hold it all the time or leave it sitting at an angle (IMO not a good idea). You're right to consider balance, but width between the adapter joints and what your entire setup looks like are factors, too.

Where on the dial do you guys set it for Vapexnail use? Seems I either set it too hot and burn it or too low and only get a little bit.

I've been setting it at around 1:00 and drawing real slow. The last hit didn't even leave any oil on the sides. Then, of course, I bump it to max for a few minutes for cleaning.

EDIT:

I also recommend using a tiny amount of wax. I'm using an amount that's significantly less than even my conservative dabs.

I have one like #1 and #3. #1 works, but I find the shape to feel unstable and out of balance at times. #3 is much more balanced when you put the Evo on the straight up and down piece. I found mine on eBay for around $10. eBay has cheap glass plugs too.

Saw a few people ask about cheap HT alternatives don't know if it has been mentioned before but sine supply on original vxh HT in europ is a bit limited (best place to get one here might be vapefiend) though i might share this one. (don't want to advertise here!)

Namastevapes 18 mm Wathertool :
18mmwm2_large.jpg

Don't know how tall or sturdy this piece is but might be worth to have a look at if you want to save a buck. And you could still set an original vxh HT on top.:mental: (I just like a big volume)

so long ... vape on.

For the price the namastevapes 18mm HT works great. I've used mine with different vaporizers and had excellent results with all. You can load/milk It up nice and get good volume pulls from it too. It reminds me of my combustion bong days. The draw on it is nice and not to chuggy.

As with all glass and water you have to be careful about accidents and experiment with water volume. This piece never leaked and is pretty strait as far as quality. It's not the thickest glass but not thin either. For the price it's a clean piece.

Comparably my higher end glass is just a bit more detailed on the function, looks and form side and way more expensive.

I use the namastevapes HT just as much as my other higher end glass. I have pictures of it on my ExtremeQ over I that thread if anyone wanted to get a better idea in your head.

I think it would be fun to stack multiple HT's for mad volume son! I love coughing for o2.

Damn. These sales are making me wish I said a couple more weeks to get mine. Least I got the bomb while it was in stock.

Very curious what the announcement is going to be. A digital evo would be very cool.

is the evo supposed to make clicking/tapping noies when heating up or when you turn it off and cooling down?
