Ancient and opiniated inhaler
Awesome information!
But weird that I'm seeing different voltages and curious which you tested with. Thanks!

According to http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/confusion_with_voltages that nominal voltage might sometimes be gamed for marketing - apparently you can assume about 3.6 v for 18650s no matter what the tin says.

I notice if my cannabis is too dry I get a harsh draw. For me I need a happy medium.;)

That's a really interesting observation.
tl;dr So, I'm guessing if you want to minimise the harshness if you happen across drier material, adding some sidestream air at the tip of the stem around your lip might help dilute the THC and decrease any irritation?

In case anyone else cares: given my understanding of the physics of the Air heating a moist mass and specifically the latent heat of evaporation of that water taking heat energy out of the bud, just like your evaporative cooler does, the actual temperature of your bud isn't going very far north of 100c until just about all the water has evaporated. Incidentally, is it just me or has anyone else noticed that with a clean solo stem, that steam can be seen to condense inside down near the seal when you first start drawing on a load if you look carefully. So you might get some warm moist air and that might pre-soothe your throat? Might be able to get the same effect inhaling some steam coming off a nice hot cup of tea before vaping?
OTOH, when the bud is dry and potent, your first draw will likely vaporise a decent load of THC because there's so little water that bud temperature can rise rapidly to where THC and stuff start vaporising....
For the record, THC is an expectorant. That means it irritates the airways and a protective reflex makes you cough. I've read proponents claiming it leads to health benefit for city based vaporisers - helps clean your lungs out.

@OF once suggested using a tiny bit of moist cotton in the stem of your vapeorizer for added moisture. If my cannabis is on the dry side, I keep it in a Cvault for a week or 2 that really helps.

Generally I don't buy cannabis that is overly dry, it loses some potency over time.

I've noticed the condensation on a clean stem but not one that I've used a couple times. I was thinking that was because of the cannabis oils that accumulates on the stem - interesting.

So when it's a custom stem, maybe there's the option to get a long version of the domed one. That'd be sweet since the photo where it's next to the plstic tipped stock stem shows it's quite a shorty... As we were speaking of harshness etc - I prefer longer stems for those reasons. Much smoother.

I prefer using the plastic tip stem that came with the kit. I ordered an extra long stem thinking I never be using the plastic one, but I like the flat shape of it better when taking a draw so its the only stem I've been using.

I might try the glass dome stem if I see people like it, but since the stem I'm using fits just right, I thought I would try covering the plastic tip with a silicone cover I have for e-cigarette mouthpiece and surprisingly its fits perfect.

I just tried session and I like it better than putting the black plastic tip in my mouth. I'm not sure if silicone is plastic as well, but it has a better feel when taking a draw. Like velvet man. Without adding size to the tip. True the vapor still is traveling through plastic, but has some advantages I think. The little teeth marks are covered now and the silicone covers are so cheap so you can let people try your Air without germs. 50c ea. maybe.

Ego c cartridge tip covers fit perfect.

This has been an Airelevant message.

Hey Guys,

i own the AA for 3 months now. Before buying the AA, i was lurking around here for weeks and with the help of you all i made the decision that dragged me away from combustion. For me and my asthma, the best that could happen...
My favourite setup is the AA with the long stem from Easy Flow. No harshness and lots of taste. So, one more time - thank you for making things easy for a noob!

Cheers

I'm not worried about it anymore. Obviously I'm a horrible person for being upset about something I consider a legitimate reason to be upset. I wasn't bashing anyone. I was merely reporting a legitimate issue, in an effort to help other consumers make an informed decision. Won't ever do it again.

I'm sorry to bring this up again but I haven't been on the forum much since buying the Vapman (shouts to @vapman - scholar and a gent, sir) and I'm seriously confused by this exchange.

What's the go, man? OF (don't mean to bring you into this again, OF, but I figured you're always browsing these parts) and CarolKing amongst others were trying to deduce what specifically was the problem and I'd kinda like to know what it is, too, beyond vagary.

What do you classify "jumping through hoops"?
Can you clarify who you actually purchased the Air from? (General consensus says PIU?)
How did Arizer "jerk you around"?
Why do you think general warranty policies (like paying shipping) are inapplicable or inappropriate in this situation?

Again, I'm just looking for clarity in an effort to figure out what's going on. I've loved every Arizer product I've ever bought and have only ever had to deal with them once through warranty and it was very easy compared to some other companies I won't mention by name and am a little disheartened that your interactions have left a sour taste.

It'd be a shame to swear off the company due to a misconception or other error in communication so please be as specific and literal as possible. I'd just like to add, so we're not stoking the flames, that you should be as considerate as possible to Arizer. As you've said, you were perfectly happy with the vape and even generated a significant amount of word-of-mouth press for them! The products and company are very highly revered here and I'd hate to be the agonist in you getting another warning point or being cautioned by the mods.

Also, I saw in the Aromed thread that you've accidentally cracked your herb holder - I'm pretty pedantic when it comes to glass and I'd seriously consider buying a new herb holder because all it takes is a little too much stress on the crack when you're drawing and suddenly you're inhaling glass particles. Working as a windscreen fitter and glazier, I know it's incredibly unpleasant.

I have to say my Arizer Airs have been some of the most reliable "products", never mind vapes, I've ever purchased. I've dealt exclusively with Randy and PIU, and have been really taken care of. I did not purchase directly from Arizer (2 AA's and a Solo, so I can't give an opinion on that). We all have our preferences on vape experience, but for what it does and is supposed to do, it is relatively flawless, inexpensive, and ridiculously easy to use, once you learn a couple of simple things.

Right now, I'm almost 90% AA / stock stems with bowl screen (about .05g to .07g per stem), just too easy and right for me.

Hey guys,

I'm tired of waiting for Inhalater to come out with a working product, so for the time being I'm going to go with the Arizer Air.

Does the latest edition of this vape have to be charged a little before use? Or can it be used on demand?
Is power consumption more than charge capability? (I had that problem with Inhalater and had to wait ages before I could vape)

Thanks :)

Same as inhalater with regards to consumption vs charge capability, but...and its a big but, the air loves it's battery changed it won't break anything and is super easy, so just get a minimum of two battery's and an external charger and you can vape all day long in theory.

I got mine with some charge in it and did a quick session and then charged it to full. Not the perfect way to do things, according to those with battery expertise who suggest charging full before using then discharging (with a quick session) before storing. My battery suffered no noticeable ill affects from using it before charging it fully. I might have gotten lucky. You should be able to get it to full within around 90 minutes straight out of the box, assuming it shipped with a little juice in it. It takes 2 hrs. to charge my batteries from red on the AA. And yes, once it's charged it's an on-demand vape for 5 or 6 sessions.

Hello Guys!

I am very new here. And I have a very serious question.
How to understand if it is FAKE Arizer Air or original Unit?

I am just going to buy tomorrow one and I live in Ukraine. Here are a lot of fakes from China.
And as I know Arizer Air is already being sold on Chinese marketplace. Very well made copy almost the same like the original one.

So, everybody who got original unit I would be very pleased to see real photos to be sure that I will be buying the original one. It will really help me tomorrow. Cos I do not know what I need to look for (

I have seen photos of well made Chinese ones and I almost have not seen the difference ( Onlye price was only 100 $ which is really low.

Anyway, I would be really greatful to anyone who could help me with such information.

Best regards.

Not sure anyone could give you better info about what to look for than Arizer:
http://arizer.com/store/en/hand-held/94-arizer-air-portable-diffuser.html

Buying directly from them or otherwise through a reputable dealer referred to here at FC would be the only way of ensuring you're getting the real thing now that the knock offs are out and about.

Good luck.

I do not have a possibility to order from foreign web site as it is really pain in the ass to dliver it in Ukraine :(

That I can believe.

It's a tough job spotting the genuine article in a batch of known counterfeits. More so if, as you say, there are a lot of 'very good looking' copies out there.

My thought on the matter is to focus on the end cap. It's a small, not too critical, part not likely to get a lot of attention to be a prefect copy I think. He's a close up of one of mine:

Notice, please, the attention to details. The silkscreen is perfectly centered and the rings very uniform. The printing is neat, even and sharp. The spring in the center is perfectly formed (pay attention to the center of it), has no scratches and is expertly soldered in. Notice the two perfect 'rivet overs' on the plastic pegs that hold the board in, that takes tooling an precision. Notice the threads are very high quality and the walls thin. Finally, the track from the contact pin traces a perfect circle after a dozen or two removals. The pin, it of course, finely made, well Gold plated and well sprung (it travels easily and smoothly in and out).

Just becasue these details are 'right' doesn't mean the unit is genuine, of course, but those are the sort of things I'd check out questioning a unit.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks a lot for this picture. I am sure it will help me tomorrow while I am buying a new unit for myself)) I have also found a shop called "puffitup".

Is "puffitup" a good place to buy Arizer Air? They now have a very good discount and possible to buy it only for 169 $ which is just a perfect price as for me! I have also wrote them and asked if they have shipping to the Ukriane and if so I guess this Arizer Air from puffitup must be original one hopefully.
