...hello.
I know they sell the 2.2 themselves w/ the tong & concentrate kit included for 199.00.
...I ordered 2 tongs,.the concentration kit and a crucible pack from them at HA...it took about 5 days to Jersey..no issues.
The stock m.p. fits ok in an18..14 to me gets dicey...
...the tong Is awesome..it should come stock imo....perfect clean seal..it's nice not to hear or feel grinding glass....

The standard MP, as I have mentioned, fits all 14mm connections and fits fine in my d0-20 18mm connection just fine. I never had a sealing problem. Only difference is that you can't make it hands free.

Also the 2.2 doesn't really fit the TonG/crucible, which I personally dislike. I would use the TonG pretty much exclusively if it did. So if you plan on using water pieces, grab the elite for the modified loading chamber, as it is much more user-friendly and fits the TonG/crucible no problem.

Thanks for the replies! I'm a bit confused now though, I thought the Elite had some special mouthpiece that was also a tong but was special in that it fit the crucible. And the regular tong they sell is more designed for the 2.2 because the Elite mouthpiece won't fit the 2.2 and vice versa? Now i'm really confused lol But if the regular mouthpiece fits 14/18 connections and all I have to do is hold it, it's not a big deal to me.

I think they include ONE crucible....is it worthwhile to own more?

I've lived with just the one crucible so far, but I do kind of want a pack. I could see it being an issue if you like to do loads back to back, would be super nice to just pack a few crucibles and then dump one when done and pop a new one in right away. I personally like doing a load, and then doing a dab after, so it doesn't really affect me with my style.

I only own a 2.2, so can't comment on the elite stock mp. I just recall it has some way of making loading/unloading crucibles easier and must be a tad deeper to accommodate the longer taper of the TonG along with a crucible.

I would assume the elite is more convenient, and at $220, is a great deal, especially if it happened to come with a TonG as its stock mp.

....it must be my glass or something....but iv found to use the stock m.p. for water,..vs. using the tong and straight to the oven or in a cut down crucible is useless...but like I said,..I don't have any d20.. (I might be wrong on the letter and number)..it must be me.
....just seems to fit perfectly when it's cut to a 14 or 18 specifically...vs. a universal ball joint.
I have a 2.2....I bought it for the price and have been blown away...at 3 something for an elite...not so much...at 250...sure

I dunno, I have both mouthpieces, like both, but end up sticking with my stock, mainly because I just have my one crucible, prefer using it vs espresso and I don't want to cut it down although easily could. I like the size of it as is, and it just doesn't jive with the TonG in the 2.2

When I'm done spending all my spare cash on other vapes, I need to grab an assorted crucible pack, if @herbalaire would be so kind.

But... the standard mp fits fine on my nectar collector 14mm, and also a 14mm male showerhead/inline combo bubbler I have with a standard 14mm f2f connector. Also fits my old school bong's down stem like a glove. So, imo, it fits any standard 14mm connector. Honestly like the 14mm connection better with the standard MP, as in an 18mm, you have to be a little more careful to prevent the MP from falling out by getting stuck a bit because the taper is so much smaller.

..yea...thats what's so cool about it too...it's versatility...I'm gonna give the stock m.p another shot on some 14's...the tong feels kinda bulky on a 14...little awkward..
The stocks kinds rounded..it will probobly be perfect..not much room to come off the seal.

From the site:
Elite Main Mouthpiece
Attach the herbalAire elite to almost any piece of glass with this mouthpiece, fits 14mm and 18mm tapers.
Will not fit the H2.1 or H2.2

So the elite mp is definitely a tong. The sell a separate tong for the 2.2 that requires not using a crucible. Though I was able to request cut down crucibles that I use with my tong on the 2.2 and some other people have done it themselves here.

My options are:

1. Elite for $220usd - no concentrate kit (would need to purchase separate +$35)
2. Elite for $350usd - with concentrate kit and tong + 30 day $ back guarantee
2. 2.2 for $135usd - no concentrate kit/ no tong
3. 2.2 for $200usd - with concentrate kit and tong + 30 day $ back guarantee

Although I still haven't decided, i'm leaning toward the Elite from an online retailer having the best value, and the upgrade I think most important to me would be the newer style built-in crucible in mouthpiece. Seems like dumping out a hot crucible into hand or on table may be a messy pain.

Where is a good place to purchase these?

Will I be happy with the 2.2 mouthpiece, or is a tong essential if i'm to use it for vapour bonging which is what I want to be doing exclusively? Reg mouthpiece works for 14/18 by just holding it? Seal is sufficient?

http://www.vaporwarehouse.com/site/vaporbrothers-whip-screens-ceramic.html for ceramic screens

I really do recommend the TonG as one of the best HA accessories. The stock MP is cool and does work with say a regular glass MP if it's not too heavy, but it is quite prone to coming out easily as it can't stand any horizontal force. The TonG goes deeper into the chamber and has a great seal and fit, definitely will not come out with horizontal force applied to it.

Yeah the Elite MP is another TonG though it's actually goes even deeper to fit the Elite's deeper chamber. I actually use an Elite MP with the 2.2. The 2.2 TonG is a little bit shallower than the Elite MP, but not by much.

I just noticed the light coming out the bottom of the 2.2 on the herbalaire site is green. Mine is always red, is everyone else's green?

How can you tell if you have the ha 2.1? I've looked before and never saw 2.2 or 2.1 on there so I figured it was 2.2.

No idea how to tell if 2.2 or 2.1 but mine is red until it hits temp, then it goes green on both the bottom light and the led up front.

The light on the underside of the H2.2 flashes red when turned on (I think...mine's too warm to test), goes to blue, then to green when it gets up to temperature. @OF told me the light changes on H2.2 (from H2.1) allow color-blind users to see what's happening. :)

Mine's taped over, the lights on the bottom are the one really stupid part of the design as far as I'm concerned. I even cover up 3/4 of the light on the front of the unit, frickin' thing is pretty bright too once the sun goes down.

Yep, true rumor. While it doesn't fix it for all us color blind folks, it does for the majority of us. The most common is red/green.....making those horrid red/green indicators so common useless. I suggested replacing one of the four LEDs in the bottom with one that indicated the heater heating (as is commonly done, and is done by the V2.1's indicator), nothing overt, but something we could look for. They 'super sized' the idea I guess.

I have received knowledge that PV has "revised" their gong's so their tolerances are so that the HA won't suffer any negative impacts from it. Comments? Would you still say better off to avoid? Looks awesome in a youtube video I saw....pretty sure I saw a Solo gong being used as well?

Hello...
...I can't speak for the GonG...
But I can say that the TonG is my favorite aspect of the machine...
...it's just such a smooth landing vs. glass on glass..no grind..and no cracks & whatnot...and the seal is on point...
I also notice my under light goes from blue to like purple to green...
..the purpleish,..obviously a mix between green and blue is only there for a short time right before it goes full green...if that means anything .

Just started trying smaller grinded loads with a basket screen the other day. This thing just gets better. I really hate using a moving screen. But its worth it.

Got some scales back, next load i might weigh up .2 ground (my typical solo load and I know I get 12-15 15 second slow draws on 7) crank it to 400 straight up set up a timer and see. My guess is 4-5 15 second pulls through the 12inch.

Alrightly. .19 mid grind with some screen packed on top, 400f timed 10 second hits (went with 10 because didn't think I could handle so many continuous real big hits) time didn't seem to make much differene with the clouds, so might be something in that for a balance of cloud chasing and consumption. Anyways got 12 vapor bong hits just with the elite mouth peice, that thing is amazing. First 5 were really phat, next 5 were still bigger than the biggist solo clouds then the last two were still visible but not that big. Figured the next few would be thin so I dumped it; also dumped a load early to try this, so can mix them together and pop a little nug on top!
Conclusion, ha doesn't have to be a herb hog, I was just greedy. I still prefer a vape with a smaller bowl as I just can't help myself, but good to know I can use the HA when I'm running low.

Might try again later but start lower, I always assumed you just wouldn't get clouds, but I'm probably wrong.

I always use a screen on top of my load otherwise i tend to overfill the crucible. I've not found too much difference between grinding and not grinding.

@Tommy10 i get decent vapour at about 170c-180c and am surprised at how much i enjoy starting low and moving up to 200c quite slowly.
