18650 mod

I'm about to order one of these http://www.vaporbeast.com/lost-vape-tan-v2-ebony-wood-box-mod.html , with the new Kanger Colored Subtanks. I had some money saved up to go on a vacation later this month, but it kind of fell through, so might as well get something nice :)

I also placed an order with Dr. Crimmy earlier this week, I'll have to let you guy's know how they taste, but I'm very excited, I went a bit overboard but the juices I made sound delicious to me:

All of them are 70/30 as though I prefer as much VG as possible, the Kanger Subtanks for me, don't handle the thickest juice as well. I'll get like ejuice sputter up the top and will burn my tongue or the roof of my mouth. Not pleasant at all, and have to be very careful while vaping it lol.

Got Milkshake (Pick 3 flavors: Peanut Butter, Bavarian Creme, Sweet Creme) + extra flavor shots.
Special OPS (Orange, Pineapple, Strawberry) + extra flavor shots and substituted Blood Orange instead of Orange.
DIY Vanilla Custard Base with Banana, Strawberry, Sweet Creme added.

Cost me like $93, but I got 360 ml of E Juice in 3 different flavors. Comparatively, my local juice shop sells 30 ml for $15-$16.....not hard to see how much more bang for your buck Crimmy is.

Been meaning to order from: http://whitelabeljuiceco.com/ as they are also cheap. I saw some...suspect reviews though where people were talking about a peppery nicotine taste, so I've avoided them as of late, but I do mean to try them in time. (It actually looks like they have updated the site a lot since I last checked them a few months back)

That's a good deal. I just placed an order myself for 3 60ml too. Tho these are made to order it seems so they need to steep for two weeks and be shook a lot for max flavor n shit, per Dr. Crimmy. I'm guessing that's why you're getting a deal. Either way they sound good as fuck. Thanks for that post!

@sasNW those new .5 ohm vertical coils say 15w-60w, I was unaware of this. Now I gotta use them. I was using the prebuilt Ni200 coils.

@NickDlow I let mine sit without the caps on for a few hours when I'm home and can make sure they don't get knocked over by the cat lol, and the flavors definitely pop more and get more pronounced over time...don't be shy to try right out the bottle though! They really do taste great initially and only get better over time IMO.

The Bananna/Strawberry Custard I got tasted strongly of custard, not high fruit but I got extra custard shot. It tastes delicious now and is full flavored after a few weeks.

The Special OPS is good but a bit too fruity for me. Just takes like really awesome pineapple juice. THe pineapple is most pronounced and while I can taste the other fruits, they are just overpowered by pineapple. Just am normally vaping with coffee or tea or beer so it's a weird taste in my mouth. It's great with a cup of OJ though!

The PB Creme is my favorite, it just tastes like PB Mousse. Not overtly PB though, but enough I taste it, and a lot on the exhale if I do it through my nose. Just a sweet nutty vape :p it's much better off the RDA then the Subtanks too from my experience.

I got PB Bannana and Orange Crimmsicle a few months back, and I think I would rate both of those higher tbh then any of the 3 above. I'm partial to PBB and its a good all day vape for me, little fruit little nut. The Orange Crimmsicle tastes exactly like a legit orange creamsicle, not an all day thing for me but great when I used it.

Glad you were able to get some juice and save a few bucks!

I will defiantly be experimenting when they arrive. But I updated my last post to add links n correct 'sit' to 'steep'. Basically a fermenting process. I'll probably split the juice up and store some for later in a nice dark spot.

Liquid Swords is one of my favorite albums of all time (My username is even a song/skit on it), there is a vape shop that spams commercials, finally decided to check it out. THIS, is an all day vape. Tastes like Blueberry Icee/Gogurt. Was kind of pricey ($70 for 120), but they have a nice point system that when I spend 30 more, I get like 3 bottles of Mt. Baker for free at 100 points (it stacks, so I could let my points get to 500,1000,etc, to actually get gear)

And to it's credit, this is some of the best juice I've ever had. Hard for me to find a flavor that I absolutely love, this is right up with PBB for me.

My e-cig story so far, in short:
  1. no-name disposable cig-a-like
  2. no-name dirt cheap refillable cartomizer
  3. Cera e-liquid cartridge
  4. V2 Pro Series 3 liquid cartridges.
It's been a strange trajectory, in retrospect. A few weeks ago I had my most recent S3 liquid cartridge die on me and I decided I was done with it. I happened near a vape shop and told them I was tired of disposable cartridges and wanted something that would last, and that I was interested in experimenting with rebuildable type stuff. They ended up selling me on a a Kanger SUBOX Mini starter kit.

So far I'm really enjoying it! I've already gone through the two OCC heads that were included, and I haven't given the rebuildable head a go yet. This is my first 18650 modbox, though I suppose you could consider the Cera a mech mod if only the threading were standard. I've hardly looked into what all that I'll be able to attach to this subox but I know there are tons of options.

The only thing I'm a little concerned about is that I don't have temperature control, and that seems to be the way to go nowadays. How much should I be missing it, as a newbie? I'm already getting vapor like never before with these sub-ohm OCC heads, but if TC could help the wick last longer then I'd be interested… I do really like the look and feel of this subox kit, so it's a shame I can't just get it retrofitted with a TC chip?

Funny thing, for all the time that I spend on FC, I just came to this thread through google. Turns out FC is the first hit for this search, and I didn't even realize it when I was clicking the link. I was real confused for a second when the page loaded… Sorta like ending up in the kitchen and forgetting how or why you got there.

@nopartofme i wouldn't worry about not having tc, once you get the hang of using variable wattage, there are few advantages and more negatives to temp control on these new subtanks. I have tc coils for most my tanks, but I only use them for backups when I run out of normal coils. The vapor on Tc is nowhere near as thick ime and lacks a bit of the flavor on most hits.

Temp control would have been extremely awesome about a year or two ago before subtanks came out. Subtanks wick so well that I never ever get dry hits anymore(unless I forget to fill my tank when I'm drunk)

Me and all my buddies who are big into the ecigs all dumped temp control after a week or so of use.

I would strongly advise that you pick up some of the v2 vertical coils for your subtank. Vertical coils last longer, wick better, produce more flavor and vapor. I don't use the og coils on my subtanks at all now

How quick did you burn through the 2 coils?

Just got my ipv d2 today. Using a mutation v4 atty, vaping at .3 ohm, and using some white lightning unicorn cake. Awesome combo

You guys should check out white lightning liquids. They sell 120ml for 20 bucks. I have unicorn cake which is a strawberry cream/cake. All day vape at great value. Unfortunately, they only have about 5 flavors

I been vaping for a long time but just went sub ohm with the kanger subox a few moths ago when it cam out... I was loving using clapton coil on the RDA deck that came with the tank... Using the rebuidable deck is way better than pre made coils.

But now that I have a TC Mod ( got a Clouper GT 80 W thanks Boom !) I really see what all the TC fuss is about.. Even tho TC was first made for drippers, I think it also works great in a tank.

I'm using 30g Tempered Nickle in my Subbox tank and at .13 ohm the flavor is way better I get so much more out of juice I already liked... Clouds are great.

It came with a 0.5 ohm coil and a 1.5 ohm coil. I started with the 0.5 ohm and it lasted me about two weeks. I never pushed that first coil very hard, averaging about 15W and only ever going as far as 25W. Although, I might have run it a little low. I'm more aggressively refilling the tank with this newest (third) coil. Still need to work out the finer details of detecting wick issues before it's too late.

The 1.5 ohm coil only lasted me a few days, and having read up more info on it I think it hadn't wicked properly and ended up burning dry?

To me the hits were surprisingly strong on that coil even at the minimum 7W, while it was working. I enjoy the broader range of control that the sub-ohm coil seems to provide. I bought a pack of 5 of those after the 1.5 ohm head went out.

I'm still on the first of that 5 pack and it's working great. I'm playing with 30-35W with my VTC4's and the vapor production is amazing. I'm a bit confused by the voltage readout, which is what brought me to this thread in the first place. When I'm running at those higher wattages, it'll read 4.2-5.4 volts, which is more than I thought these batteries were capable of? I'm not sure of my amperage calculations for that reason.

On the topic of temperature control, I'm figuring that even if it's not something I need right now as far as e-juice goes, I'll probably want it later down the line if I'm running some kind of oil cartridge on it? Or just maybe an herb cartridge one day… For now I'm happy with the subox mini and content with my purchase. I gotta say I really like the fit and finish on this kit. The matte ceramic coating both looks and feels really nice. It reminds me a bit of the feel of a Cera, come to think of it! I'm curious to see how well it holds up.

That's a good call @nopartofme , I totally forgot to add that in about tc. I do definitely use it for oil and hopefully one day for a dry herb atty. so tc is definitely good for that, but as far as ejuice I personally thinks it's a waste of time at this point.

I know my voltage also goes up that high but I'm not sure about it neigh above the batteries capabilities. I'm sure it's not since I fire attys even higher then that but I'll check it out after work

The ipv d2 rocks! A lot smaller than the Kbox but a little heavier. You'll love the little workhorse

I found all the fellow Subox owners!!

I love this little beast, my Wife and my Sister in law said it was "ugly"
... I was like....

Wha????!!! Ugly?!?! This thing screams sexy and sleek.

Particularly the White Edition, probably Nostalgic memories of Storm Troopers...lol

I recently posted this on another thread, but don't believe many saw it...

I started with the basic 1300mAh VV EVOD with the basic Kangertech T3'D tank.. Very nice at first, but found myself still smoking Marlboros on the regular.

So, I bought a new K-Tech Aerotank Mega.. Very nice, but my EVOD finally started dying in a couple hours of use.

Did a lot of shopping and decided on the Subox.

Once I found my preferred ratio of VG : PG ..sub-ohm coils (Subtank 0.5 OCC)
I never even considered reaching for those nasty Marlboros again.

**sidenote ** Subox is capable of firing down to 0.3 ohms

I Never thought I would be able to quit the cancer sticks...

But the Subox changed everything.. I love my local Vapor shop, Best house juice in my city.
12$ for 30ml on Thursdays, 1$ off if you bring back your empty bottle, and buy 6 bottles get one free.

I tried another shop, and... GROSS!!!!

Anyhoo....
I started at 12mg with the EVOD, once I obtained the Subox, I moved to 6 mg, after a week or two, down to 3 mg, and now I'm at 0 mg.

I love the vapor, warm flavor packed vapor coming in, and super cool therapeutic vapor on the exhale.... Amazing!!

My favorite flavors...
Razzleberry (Exactly like those blue lollipops I enjoyed as a 4th grader)

And,
Unicorn Vomit, lol... Tastes like a handful of Skittles.

The smell of cigarettes now nauseates me, I can't believe I quit!!

I honestly can't believe that they are trying to ban E-cigs, seems to me, that it is effectively helping many folks quit killing themselves with the cigarettes.

I imagine it has a LOT to do with tax revenue regarding the billions involved with big Bacco.

Fight for your right to Vape!!!!

Still here Still
Hi All just thought I would chip in my tuppence worth on the subject.
I originally started with an E leaf 20 watt starter kit but it died after three weeks the vendor replaced it but I wanted another so I had a back up, so I got a Joyetech VTC Mini 60watt and I must say its tc on everything else I buy from now on, (including my awaited FM Pro) the temp control is magnificent start a juice at say 450f and then slowly crank up the temp and taste the differencce as you go (I keep the wattage the same unless it's vg heavy at the moment 21w on a 50/50) it's still the same juice but the temp control lets you highlight different background flavours as u change, I love it and I prefer the TI 0.4 sub ohm coils in the Ego Mega tank that came with it,my "doc's custard" tastes great and never fails to satisfy my Aero mega also works a treat on it at 12 w .
Hope you find something that fits your purpose there's plenty out there.
