ah my bad I guess not sorry Akira1977 dude. Got to be another Euro seller out there maybe?

Been using my Pax2 all day so far. I like it initially, love the size and ease of use but the vapor i have not been impressed with sadly. Compared to the crafty it isn't up to par. My last session was finely ground and packed pretty tight i thought, but still I was only getting very minimal vapor and very wispy  and that was going from temp 1-4. The taste is nice and the effects I feel just but nowhere near what I am used to.

Am I doing something wrong here? How tight and full can I pack this thing before restricting airflow? Advice appreciated guys just going back through this thread now and find out what I am missing :/ Am i just not packing enough herb and tight enough to get what I am after?

Different way of taking a draw, a bit like sipping, in short puffs. Long, direct-inhaled draws are a bit futile, since the heater can only create X amount of vape in a given time, the steady long draw goes on after it clears the oven, when there's no point in continuing. But shorter puff, then inhale, puff, etc allows the Pax time to do it's thing. This also allows time for the Lip Sensing Technology to boost the temp. over the duration of your draw. Hope I'm not being repetitive here.

Other thing, only because you didn't mention; is your product nice and dry? Shouldn't be powder, just fine grind.

Others have said it's not necessary with Pax 2, but I find a mid-bowl stir very effective, when doing a full bowl. I usually don't use two petals, never just one. You may be frittering away some nice clouds with those early lower-temp draws.
Hope some of this is helpful. I think you'll feel better about this after some time with Pax 2. Do I sound like a salesperson here? sorry...

p.s. I also use Crafty, and also like it's vapes more than Pax 2. Pax 2 has lots of other good things going for it though - battery life not the least among these. It's there waiting when Crafty runs down!

Krizzle

Hi Very high
@vapviking thanks for the reply bud. Just been reading all I can about this funky little vape. I am just about to go for my last session of the evening, i have packed this guy to the rafters. Instead of the fine grind i just turned my space case upside down. Yes my product is dried and cured correctly, not top shelf but not swag by any means.

Are you saying you never start your sessions on temp level 1 or 2 but just go straight to 3?

I know I keep comparing it to Crafty and I should stop because I know they are different at the end of the day. Got to love the battery on this Pax, i have used it about 6 times today and still only dropped one petal. Awesome. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Edit: This last session got me ripped for shizzle. Got the hang of Pax now I think :ko: I got the hang of the draw very slow and not for more than 6-7 seconds, I put lots and lots of green in and get lots of clouds out it seems, tasty too:tup: Super discreet, compact and batteries of a porn star. Sweetness. Sorry to ramble bedtime now:zzz::whoa:

I almost dropped the Pax mid-puff when he introduced the segment! :lmao:

Hey all! Unfortunately, I had some problems with my PAX 2. I just received a new one in the mail today, so I thought I'd let you guys know how everything went.

My issue with my PAX 2 was with the button - it became really hard to press, so much so that I was afraid I'd break it just from how much pressure I had to use to turn it on. I used my PAX 2 several times a day, since I got it back in early April (it was a preorder). It finally got to the point where I couldn't get it to turn on at all, so I bit the bullet, messaged @Ojan_at_PAX here, and put in a support request. I heard back the same day, and Ojan (as well as my support rep) let me know that it would definitely need to be sent in for a warranty check. I sighed, because I love PAX 2 over my PAX 1, and I was reluctant to be stuck using the PAX 1 for who-knows-how-long. I was also reluctant, because I'm living at college, and needed to have it shipped here, not home, so I wasn't sure how it would work out. I didn't have to do anything, they handled it all for me.

Ojan upgraded my shipping label from standard (I'm assuming that's 2-day priority) to 1-day Priority. They were trying to speed the process up for me, and I know from sending things via priority mail (USPS) that it isn't cheap. That's good customer service. Much to my dismay, though, it took three days to get to them. That's no fault of the PAX Labs team, though, that's just USPS being typical, and that was during our east coast storms last week. I sent my PAX 2 out last Tuesday, it arrived to them late Thursday night, and they notified me around 11am EST (8 am for them) that they had received it (EDIT: on Friday). On Monday, around 11 am EST, I got an email saying that they had confirmed my issue and would send me an email later in the day or the next day when a NEW PAX 2 shipped. Awesome. Ojan also let me know that they additionally upgraded the return shipping to 1-day Priority as well. Also awesome.

Tuesday came and went, and I didn't hear anything. I wasn't worried - many of you will remember the issue on release, where our PAX 2's shipped but we didn't get the email with tracking number. So, I assumed this was the case, and it was. Ojan sent me the tracking number and lo and behold.... it was still in Oakland. Once again, thanks, USPS.:bang: No fault of the awesome people at PAX Labs, though. Still haven't gotten the email with tracking info.. but this afternoon I got my PAX 2, so it's all good!

It took just over a week (which is crazy fast) to get a new PAX 2 back in my hands. I cannot give enough thanks to Ojan and the team at PAX Labs, because they were all so awesome, and they all communicated with me so well. Even though 1-day shipping didn't work out (it was a stretch to start with going coast-to-coast), I'm happy to be PAXing again.

If anyone else is concerned to send their PAX 2 in... don't be! I couldn't be happier with the customer service, and that is equally important to me when I'm buying something. I know that if anything ever goes wrong, there's a great team there to help me out. I also noticed that the color of this PAX 2 (charcoal) is slightly different from my other one. This one looks more black, but my first model looked more like a grayish purple. The new one's a simon model and the old one was a non-simon model, though, so I have new party modes to play with!

Well.... I'll be back later, time to use this thing!:peace:

@Krizzle at launch, we all quickly noticed there were two distinct models, some with only 3 party modes, none of which included Simon says, and on those models, a quick vertical shake played "funky town." That's the non-simon model. At initial release most of the charcoal models were non-simon. I don't remember seeing anyone early with a Simon charcoal PAX 2.

There was another model, and as far as I can tell, from the initial release, these were the other colors. The Simon model, this one, has more party modes, one of them being Simon says (like the PAX 1), and a fifth temp option (all four petals blue) that meant oven off. If you best simon, funky town plays when you turn on your PAX 2 (already done :D). Ojan hinted from the beginning that there might be more models, but those are the two I'm aware of, unless my new one is slightly different from the simon model and I just haven't discovered it yet.

There's lots of information back around the release date about the different models. They function the same, just some different easter eggs:brow:

I had to cheat to get funky town :( I just set my phone to record my Simon session and played it back slowly. Am I a bad person?

Had my Pax 2 for almost two months. I noticed the other day that the Pax makes a great herb powered hand warmer in these cold Autumn mornings and nights.

I killed my screen by not removing it for a week and a half, the draw hadn't seemed restricted and I just wanted to see how far I could take it - I went a little too far. Upon prying it out I noticed a piece had broken off, so daily or every other day cleaning from now on for me.

Do you have a "cake tester" to use as a poker to push out the screen? I also find that a warm pax 2 is easier to clean than a cold one.

Mr. Me2,
When clean it just slides right in and out, I just need to keep it clean. I was very particular about it until recently, I just need to not let it get so bad again.

Vapefiend is authorized to sell PAX 2 in the UK and Germany currently, so I wouldn't expect them to ship to Italy :\

I write to them and they can ship to Italy. I ask also for warranty, and they manage in their laboratory in London or said that Ploom can do warranty if I want it...

So, final question: if I buy from Vapefiend, do you accept the warranty?

Thank you very much! ;)

I'm not aware of any restrictions as to where we are allowed to sell PAX 2, Ojan.

So far we have been selling it worldwide, as is our general practice. Please have your superiors contact us if there are any restrictions on sale of PAX 2.

In the meantime we will continue to sell PAX 2 and offer full warranty service to all of our customers.

I haven't cleaned mine in months. I just took it out with a wooden skewer and cleaned the caked on residue in the oven. I hope that doesn't happen to mine as I don't want to spend money on screens. Lol

It got so bad that no amount of cleaning would get it in good shape, and one time it was just too stuck and I pushed too hard and it chipped pretty good. I didn't notice poor performance or vapor quality though, even while the screen was very very dirty.

Definitely going to have to clean it like I did when it was new, every two or three ovens or so is what I found was best as it was just often enough to keep everything spotless, and the buildup was so minimal that it took five minutes tops from start to finish.

Pax 2 ordered... :D

I can't wait to see the REAL, ORIGINAL Pax 2... :brow::rockon::clap::tup::love:

Hope that all things go right! And I'm also soo curious about eggs and hidden features...:tup::tup::tup:
Noice! Grind the cannabis finely, pack it tight, place a folded pipe screen on top, preferably titanium, and you're in for a treat. I would also pop out the screen when you get it and place it at an angle where the vapor path is. When I got mine brand new the screen was sitting flat and it made me waste an oven. No bueno! Enjoy frient.

I'm with @Vapetrees I have been enjoying my PAX2 for many months now. I also half pack it and put a screen I made to push it down.
My screen with the "footprints" sits at an angle and I think that helps with a better session.
IMO the PAX2 works at its peak with half of a chamber.

I too unlocked everything on the PAX2.

I love "super heat/lip sensing mode.
I twist it like a blunt 7 times then I put my finger on the mouth piece for the 10 second time out.
After that I am able to directly vape the PAX2. Apx 15-20 from cold to vaping.

The PAX2 has been a great stealthy portable conduction vape!
I would love to see a convection PAX with straight up micro USB charging!

Ok. In getting to know my Pax2 I have heard a lot about the "lip sensor" and that the oven is supposed to shut off when it does not detect lips (somehow.) While reading up on the things I don't care about like making it play games or Funkytown, I cam across something that said the lip sensor/oven off feature would turn the oven off if lips or movement are not detected.

My question (and something I suspect) is that when I am walking with the Pax2 on in my pocket and it's lit up green, is it detecting movement and keeping the oven on? Would this use up what is in the oven faster? And if so, is there some unlockable feature to allow just the lip & not the motion?

Maybe it's just me not using this Pax2 as a daily driver like I did with the old Pax, but I could swear I go through more with the 2. Addmittedly I am a little sentimental, as the Pax seemed a little more fun with the pop-up mouthpiece (When it was lubed right.) Pax2 is clearly a better unit all around and the only portable I now have or need, but the Pax will always have been my first vape.

With "lip sensing" mode, I do believe the oven drops to 250F when not in use (correct me if I'm wrong), and "super heats" back to set temperature when taking a draw.

I'm not crazy about the gimmicks and games either, but if you unlock them it unlocks other features on the PAX2 as well.

In the event you don't want to fill you oven, you can use a folded screen as a "spacer". Basically, just fold the screen in thirds and don't squeeze it flat. Then put it on top of your product so that combined it fills the oven. Then replace the oven lid.

You can also buy a "pusher" from New Vape. It serve the same purpose, but is already the shape of the oven and it's depth is adjustable. I have one and really like it.

This is the screen I'm talking about, but you can use screens that they have at head shops. It allows you to vaporize the load evenly. You bend the screen to fit in the oven without falling out and it will give you a better session.

Ah, ok! Got it! :)

I have some of this, taken from some Chinese metal pipe... ;):D

Can you post a picture? I think I didn't understand well... :\

You mean the original metal screen from Pax that cover the tube for vapor?

How I have to place it???
