So I was thinking (I should be careful, right?), I know people sell & buy used vaporizers, but I was just wondering if anybody here has (perish the thought) ever sold their Vapman :ugh: or bought one 2nd hand?

Admittedly, I haven't scoured the classifieds or anything, but I can't say that I have ever noticed one for sale whenever I have had a general browse of the 'for sale' items . . . . I've spotted many other vapes which shall remain nameless, time & time again, but not so the little V-man.

Could it be, that no one can bare to part with this little fellow, once they have danced & gotten all mellow? :)

All I know is that I love my Vapman and everytime I put him away I'm already getting excited for the next time that I see him! Such a form friendly and functionally reliable little device. I wouldn't dream of moving my Vapman on, he's well & truly a part of the family and he's definitely staying put!

Sweet magic everytime

. . . Although, maybe it's just me and I'm blind to what's going on - completely unaware of a shady underworld where people trade & bargain for poor abused & unloved Vapmans who have been tossed by the wayside by their harsh owners! :disgust:

:(

Oh please! Say it ain't so!

:mental:

O.k o.k so I'm maybe I'm getting a little bit carried away right? Sorry.

So er yeah, I'm talking 2nd hand Vapman, FC Vapfans - are they just a myth?!

I say they almost don't exist! :p

look what I just found "The Pocket Torch turns a cheap disposable lighter into a mini torch"

Thing is I don't really know how long the normal lighter would last into this thing, but it seems cool.
here is a review of it. And here is the site where they sell them (with another easy explain video)http://shop.coolmaterial.com/produc...m_medium=video-post&utm_campaign=pocket-torch

A clever concept but I would not want to promote throw away lighters as they are unnecessarily bad environmentally . . .

(Or a refillable lighter at the very least )

Thank you Vapfam.

Sorry to bring up such an old post, but I remembered this, and now that I have joined I can add something.

I agree with @OF in avoiding disposable lighter's.
The thing is, I have a very similar lighter, but which has a refillable 'inside lighter' and is apparently not to be used with a disposable, although it is the same shape as the one's used in the pictured lighter (probably could in a pinch but I haven't checked).
Mine is called a 'hot devil'. Cost $15 au in a local hardware (so, given the strength of our dollar currently, probably about 20c for anyone ordering from overseas at the moment)

Get to the point...oh yeah..review.

I don't have great experience with torch lighter's, but it's my favourite. The flame (single) is very focused compared to any others I have used, so is therefore very efficient with the gas and also less likely to char my vapman than the others.
Strangely enough, turning up the heat makes the flame only slightly larger, but it's definitely hotter. Maybe this is because it is marketed as a welding/tradies torch, so it keeps a smaller focused flame?
Lights second click when you first use it (as stated in the instructions -first click gets fuel in the line) and first click every time for the rest of that session. Very reliable so far over a few months use, including torching my screens, VG filter and vapman (thanks @Mojo)
The flame gets longer and less focused some time after the tank is about half empty, plus the flame continues for a few seconds once you stop it, and the nozzle stays hot for half a minute or so after use.
It's available online from an Australian company, but I haven't worked out how to link yet.
I like.

last year at the same time, this thread was at only 35 pages in six years of its existence. who would have thought, it reaches page 180 over the course of only one year.

Having tried, and come to like the little rascal, I'm left wondering how it averaged only 6 pages a year for so long?

It's a mighty big secret to have been so well kept for so long.

There were no doubt some lean times in those early years. Kudos to René for hanging in there, seems he's finally 'walking in tall cotton'???

yes, kudos to Rene for hanging in there, i hope he finally reaps the results and the vapman finally got the attention that he deserves. kudos to you and the other veterans for the guidance in the initial dark times and for keeping this thread alive, when it was still a sleeping giant. :)

LONG TIME lurker who finally joined FC and proud to be part of the Vapman community. I am happy to claim responsibility for converting all my friends to vaping, unfortunately they don't all share my love for Vapman. For me, I love the look, feel, craftsmanship, taste, and efficiency of this beauty. It's been nice to know how many others appreciate it as well. Thanks Rene! My question is what is the status of the vapman station ?

natural farmer; what's written on the bottom of the Vapman ? it looks like something from LOTR. one vape to rule them all ??

Well.......... You are right bro, it's not the exact engraving of the ring as a matter of fact... We actually had to track down an elf with @M0J0 and translate for us in elvish the slightly altered text for the engraving:

"One vape to rule them all, One vaporist to find it, One vape to bring them all and in it's vapors bind them."

You should notice the different spelling between my engraving and the LOTR one if you are into elvish! :p

Yes, a good question! Why did the vapman thread pick up from 6 pages to almost 150 pages per year?
I don't have one single clue, there was nothing I did in particular, no advertising nor did the sales pick up at this period of time, there are no rational reasons what so ever! Just another aspect of that vapman-magic I guess.

@OF Vapman is still not walking in "tall cotton", a good product does not necessarily mean financial success! 10 years ago, vapman was one of the first real portable vaporizer but since then, this market has exploded. Without spending a lot of money on marketing and giving huge margins to resellers, a good product can get lost in that sea of vaporizers and it can take ages for the public to find out about it.
I was thinking about giving up three times already but I just can't drop such a great product, there is something telling me to hang on to it, vapman will probably be big when I'm dead.:D

Welcome to the vapman community, @VapeKnight!
The vapman station is actually an idea and plan to bring vapman to a wider audience but unfortunately
(luck is also important in business) we are having an issue which is very difficult to locate after launching the station last May. A few weeks ago, we were sure that the heating cartridge with the thermocouple is making us problems but lately, we are not sure anymore about this as we also had the same problem with new cartridges. It looks like we are real amateurs in trouble shooting but I can assure you, that we are appointing very professional people with this project and we could not find out untill now where the problem exactly is. This week we are actually measuring the electronics with special and highly sensible equipments, trying to locate the issue on the various single electronic components. Hopefully we will be successful this week, I can't wait to bring the station to the people!

Vapman/Element Medical is a great company with a wonderful product and amazing customer service.
Couldn't agree more. Absolutely love my vapmen and doubt I could find a replacement for them.

Yep, really easy to like the little fellow. For sure not for everyone, but IMO lots of folks are missing out on enjoying it's charms out of ignorance? That is, to really appreciate it you need to hold/use it......and you have to know it even exists to get to there.

All in all perhaps Vapedom's best kept secret? Pity, I bet René could make more if more guys knew they wanted one......

I took a chance and dig mine. I don't use it much but works soooooo easily and tastes sooooo good. I use it for hash and kief, occasionally herb.
