Cost of flowers vs pills/liquids/oils ???

Hi,
MN is having public comment mtgs on our new MMJ law. Law requires only pills or liquids or oils.
I'd like to speak intelligently on cost impact.

They have to be more costly to produce I assume, with processing, purifying, refining, packaging versus good old flowers, correct?

Any good guesstimates on mg of THC vs mg of THC, would they all be twice as expensive as flowers???
I've never done those other forms and want to know approx cost comparison.

I'm, of course, pushing for allowing flowers and vaporization but that's a long way off :(

Some new patients have cannabis costs of $2,000+ per month plus $200 State reg fee plus some Dr's were charging $200 to see/approve patients. Plus many Dr's are refusing to participate.

526 patients signed up but it appears about 20% bailed after the first month---bureaucracy and hassles and costs and some had to drive 100+ miles to their dispensary.
In general--it sucks but it's hopefully a starting point

thanks for any help

Law requires only pills or liquids or oils....

seems dangerous... only time people get too much mj is in edibles, probably made form liquids or oils....

what does this mean? will they allow BHO Hash? it can be liquid or oilly looking....

seems like the stupidest med mj rule yet? maybe big pharma squeezing into the market? what does it mean?

It means they were too chicken-shit to do any kind of meaningful MMJ law so they did this total BS version where they carved out the narrowest conditions possible, made it the most costly and bureaucratic program possible but now they can say--- "MN has MMJ".

The black market will continue to thrive in MN. I suppose they will have horrendous laws/penalties against illegal growers.

It sounds like the folks that made the decisions about edibles and not allowing flowers didn't know what they were doing. We all know around here you can get over medicated easier with edibles because they are so hard to gauge the dosage.

Colorado recently released this interesting report that goes into relative costs in their system: [pdf] Marijuana Equivalency in Portion and Dosage

MN requires pills or liquids (tincture) or oil.
Quoted study compared flowers vs edibles vs concentrates ( wax/shatter and vape cartridge).

I wish there were more matches.
Flowers vs oil = vape cartridge?

So no pills or liquid/tincture comparison.
It looks like vape cartridge vs flower pricing per unit of THC is 4 X.

EDIT CarolKing--it's pills and liquids which I take to mean tincture (eye dropper a dose under your tongue) and oils (which is maybe vape cartridge form ?? )

No flowers, which appear to be 1/4 the price vs their allowed forms.

I think tinctures/liquids/oils should be comparable to wax/shatter type concentrates... vape cartridges are probably marked up for the prepackaged convenience and small unit size?
