@darkrom It's the LG HE2.
If you're interested in more info: http://batterybro.com/blogs/18650-w...n-the-lg-he2-and-lg-he4-which-is-newer-better

When TL;DR: HE4 is more suitable for us, slightly "better":
If you are in a scenario where you are always draining the battery at 20A and want to maintain a higher voltage for as long as possible, the HE4 is the better choice.

@delloy The HG2 will be fine also, if not outperforming the other ones. Slightly higher price but I guess worth it. Your call of course.
EDIT: Prices at my domestic batt vendor differ pretty much from yours.. HE4 is much cheaper over here than HG2- so for me it's not an option. I like the yellow ones ;)

Conclusion
In the beginning I claimed the HG2 may be the best high-drain battery available right now. Unfortunately the cell I tested does not quite meet its mark at 3000mAh. It however does clock in at 2960mAh.

Even if we call it a 2900mAh, or a 2800mAh battery - it still surpasses the Samsung 25R (2500mAh) and the LG HE2 (2500mAh).

There are cases which this can be shown wrong, in particular in high-drain tests at 20A which I did not perform. It is however, highly unlikely that the capacity will be effected enough so that it can not exceed 2500mAh.

It is for that reason I am fairly comfortable claiming the HG2 is quite a beast, and I crown it as the current king of high-drain.

@RastaBuddhaTao Maybe that one would be interesting to put in your shop for sale too? For those who wanna go an extra mile with the lovely Zions :)

Oh man---
I was going to pop for one of these this weekend but I was in a location with no internet service---for my carrier. Well--just went on the RBT site and the unit has gone up $40 in price? A bit bummed considering that no production units have been shipped and I'd likely get in on the first 250 units sold. I don't feel that the $240 is unreasonable considering the reviews I've seen, but I was counting on the $199. Oh well.

Yeah it had already been way over extended, through September even. $240 is still more than fair for this power and versatility imo, and it is still pre order to get a unit sooner, so there is still that perk. It's tought to swallow sometimes but this is one vape where the pricing really is more than justified

I have a quick question for the beta testers. Do you know if we will have choice of stems that our Zion will come with? I know its been mentioned that we will get the long and the short, but now RBT lists a medium as well. I have a hunch I would prefer the medium and long, so I am curious if we will be able to choose which two stems, or if it is just standard which ones we get.

Thanks to the beta team for sharing all of this information so people like me can stay out of RBT's hair with questions like this while the rest of us are still able to get some valuable information.

Just so Dab HAppy!
Just going by what has been previously mentioned I believe it comes with the medium and long. The medium still stows away when the Zion lid/cap is on, however the long will not. The short stem is just the stem from the single battery unit the RBT decided to provide to us as an additional option for the Zion.

I've read all the thread in one breath :love:and I've sent at least three requests for an expedition to Italy of Zion on RBT site ... without answer ... I consoled with a pre-order for the single battery... I envy you all :goon: ( I am going crazy) please give me a Zion :lol:

@Mixio if you've just read the whole thread in one breath maybe you should've gone for the Dual Power House instead of the single.
Not sure on the un-answered requests other than RBT being understandably very busy at the moment. You may well hear from him when he has a minute. I would imagine there aren't many minutes spare in this mans life just now.

I like the stealth mode :whoa: and then...one day... sion will be mine :science:

He's very cool as far as communication. I sent an email with some questions and he responded within 2 hours---in detail but also very personable. I've got a good feeling from this communication and will be ordering one.

Please guys, try to relax. I know it can be a tough call - but please give everything time to develop.. It will pay off. In the meantime let's enjoy our common RBT spirit - as we all created this special place.

Peace out :peace:

$240 and it still needs batteries and a way to charge them. I have a cart of $304 with shipping when I add 2 batteries and a charger.

Sad part is that RBT did everything but beg to get every one that wanted in at the introductory offer. He was going to try to keep the prices down. Until he was brow beat by every one that has used the Zion to raise the price to meet the quality of the product. I was sad to see it raised just because I feel some will undoubtedly miss out on it now. And RBT has given thought to this little dilemma and has designed 2 separate vapes that will be offered at introductory prices that will let all levels of consumers into this little Zion family.

Edit: I own vaporizes that cost me more on the initial purchase price then what the Zion will cost you batt. charger and all. And the Zion out performs them. It's not even close. Hell the Zion out performs my plug in vapes also. And unfortunately that's the truth. It really opened my eyes to just how much all my previous vapes are under performing in one way or another. Sad how much $ I've wasted trying to find what the Zion can deliver.

RBT has been saying for months that the price will go up, it actually got pushed out from like the beginning of August if I remember right. Yes it's about 300 with shipping and batteries, which is close to a crafty when it comes to portable devices, but this is pure convection, tons of power, beautiful wood look without the ugly plastic, and probably hits harder than the MIGHTY does. From everything that I'm reading, this probably should be priced closer to a Mighty, so $240 is a STEAL.

I don't know if any of the beta testers have either the crafty or mighty to compare it to, but I'd guess it's just as good if not better.

@jojo monkey I read your post and thought 'I suppose when you add it all up it soon gets to sound a bit expensive'.
So I had a look at what else is available in the $300/EUR270/£200, portable battery powered, bracket.
Well on the conduction side of it we have a lot of fancy all singing all dancing bits of fragile plastic with the occasional metal casing or sleeve just to mix it up a bit.
Which of course then led me to whats available on the convection side of things. Say no more on that me thinks.
All the vaporizers you've just gone thru in your head all require cleaning, some more than others, they may or may not need extra adapters for use with bubblers etc. and they may or may not have an easily sourced battery.
The form of the Zion is not for me but to be honest the form of most portables are not for me. However the RBT tech. and the future possibility of a kit so I can build my own body is very much my boat floater. Come on Toad Of Death!!
The RBT and the Beta team have shown us it's robust. It's versatile. It's made from sustainable materials. It runs on readily available batteries. It's easy clean. We've seen it works.

I know people are trying to support RBT by buying the batteries through him but if battery and charger cost are an issue for you fasttech has the batteries for $5 each. And I got a D4 on ebay for $25 shipped.
