unexplained phenomena

I've had several instances of "unexplained phenomena" usually linked to dreaming. I once dreamed of 3 pretty rare events happening to me in one day, and it all played out exactly the next day. The phone call regarding the 3rd act of these "bad situations" was word for word the same as in my dream the night before. When I realised this I was so shocked I couldn't answer the person's questions. I was driving and wondering if I simply ended up subconsciously doing everything I dreamed the night before, I still don't know.

A few other instances were when I was young my aunt whose house we went to a lot was convinced it was haunted by ghosts, specifically "incubus". One night after coming home from there I kept seeing a floating orb on the ceiling of my room coming and going, like a ball of light, it would make slight cracking noises when it would come. I couldn't sleep because of this and was trying to reason it away as logical things. I remember when I was about to fall asleep my whole blanket got pulled down ferociously about 4 feet. I was so scared I turned every light in the house on and stayed up through the night the next 8 hours.

Another instance of this at my next apparently "cursed" house(we found out years later a tenant we had put some raw egg mixture above all windows and doors of our house and also once put a glass jar of WEIRD stuff under one of our beds. Which we looked up and it is an old wiccan witchcraft recipe. Anyways at this house I had a sleep "paralysis" so vivid and real I woke up screaming!! My post is long enough but just imagine waking up in your real room in the middle of the night to hear banging on the door, and see 3 shadowy men break in and stab you with a knife. To this day I don't see how it was a dream, no other dream I've had in my life has ever been this real, tasking place in my real home.

that's crazy! i've had a few dreams that nebulously portended something soon to come, but nothing so vivid and accurate! and man, the orb and the blanket, that's some weird shit.

dude that is mortifying. reminds me of a sleep paralysis episode i had when i lived with an occultist (she and i were not on good terms; doubtlessly i am enmeshed in a web of curses on her account). i woke up in the middle of the night in my room, and there was a small "being" staring at me from the side of my bed, making a kind of humming sound. it was rocking back and forth, and as i watched (felt like an eternity) it faded away before my eyes. i thought it was over, but i still couldn't really move. as i stared, i realized there was someone in my closet, standing there between my clothes, watching me intently. i could not see his face. it had been a while, and i started trying to force myself to move. the paralysis subsided, but the visions stayed. i sat up in bed and looked around and i saw about ten faceless people positioned all around my room, staring at me. they didn't move exactly, but there was like a breathing motion, their shoulders kind of rose and fell. now that my paralysis was over, my insides froze. i'm used to a little bit of sleep paralysis, but i immediately started questioning if that's what was happening. i looked hard through the dark: the figures were most definitely occupying physical space and looked exactly real, except that they were kind of fuzzy, like with fine multicolor pixelation over them. my room was also different; it had new doors, a hallway where a wall was, and i had the distinct feeling that my room was some kind of hub, like a train station or something. at this point i steeled my nerves and got out of bed. i approached a figure standing at the foot of my bed. his eyeless gaze followed me, and i could hear it's breathing. i wanted to reach out and touch it, but i couldn't bring myself to. as i watched, they disappeared. like, just faded out of existence. stayed up chain smoking the rest of the night (this was back in my combustion days:puke:).

I had an old style water bed once and my girl and I were fast asleep when if felt like someone sat down really hard at the foot of the bed, displacing enough water to pop our heads up off the pillows. I guess it could have been an earthquake but there was no indication of one on USGS site at that time. No more water beds for me.. fuck water..lol..

VERY scary!!! Sleep paralysis is no joke, I still don't know the cause or if this stuff is real or imaginary!

Soon after my wife and I got married, we bought her Mom a grandfather clock for Christmas one year. It was a very expensive purchase for us as I was only a two- or three-striper in the Air Force and we were living from paycheck to paycheck. But her mom had always wanted a grandfather clock and we wanted to do something special for her.

Flash forward 25 or so years later. Her Mom, after living with us for about 10 years, was stricken with Alzheimer's and dementia that advanced pretty quickly. It wasn't long until we were no longer able to care for her ourselves and we had no choice but to put her in a nursing home. Two months later, the disease took her.

A couple of weeks later, it was just another day at the casa and the wife was doing some vacuuming and I was doing something on the PC in my office. Without any warning, a very loud bang occurred and I jumped from my chair to see what happened. The wife, also startled, turned off the vacuum and we met in the middle of the living room quizzing each other on what the hell that loud noise was.

We looked around a bit, seeing nothing obvious, no pictures falling off the wall, nothing in the kitchen had fallen on the floor, etc.

It was then the wife noticed something strange about the clock. Not only had it stopped, but the pendulum was laying inside the base of the clock, behind the locked glass door. Now, if anyone here knows anything about floor-standing grandfather's clocks, the pendulum is quite heavy and hangs from a strong hook behind the clock mechanism. Once hung, it takes considerable effort to raise the pendulum off the hook. But somehow, without either of us being near that clock, the pendulum was lifted off the hook and then dropped to the bottom of the cabinet; that was the loud noise we heard.

The wife and I immediately "knew" who did it.

Although the pendulum was hung back up on the hook inside the clock, we chose not to start it back up again. Don't ask me why.

I'm waiting on some photos and videos from my friend in VA. He got one of those cameras you mount on a tree that is motion sensitive. He was telling us about some strange shit he captured on camera. Floating orbs, 5 beams of light shining straight down, and a mysterious figure walking from the woods. Gives me chills just writing this and I can't wait to see the evidence!

IR camera LED's emit heat that bugs really thrive too. The orb could be a close up bug that is being lit up by the IR light. The "beams" looks like something is really close to the camera (like hair or bug legs) that is out of focus as the light fades to fast imo. Who knows?

I don't see the figure in the woods?

well, im totally sold on the idea of orbs, so i think it's at least as possible that it is a real orb as not. as for the beams; very strange. i suppose it could possibly be some kind of camera artifact, but they look way too straight and featureless to be bug legs to me. i'm guessing the beams came and went? it would be interesting to see their manner of arrival and departure. it seems to me perfectly plausible that they are some kind of radiation beam (its common for the ground in areas where stuff like this has happened to test positive for higher-than-standard radiation levels), visible because of the ir camera. also, it's interesting that the beams seem to move just a little bit with the orb (most visible in the last picture). great pictures man! do you have any with the mysterious figure?

OK, yea... the photos were snapped in sequence. I have a bunch of others taken at that time. It starts out with no beams, then one, two, etc... and then the orb. One shot shows them, but they are not as "pinpoint", they are more spread out. If you put them all together it creates a weird, searchlight type effect. Maybe I should make a gif.

He also has video, but he says it's too large to send over. I have to ask him about the figure in the woods shots.

I mentioned a couple things here, but didn't want to be the guy that has to just talk forever. There has been more...

I have been told by a few supposed psychics in passing (never sought out) that I have a sense about me when it comes to spirits. I'd take it as general human manipulative bullshit, save for the experiences that I never told them about.

Mom tells me when I was about 3 years old I used to tell her there was a man in the corner of my room. Nothing bad. Just a man. She has told me she has had a few weird experiences of seeing people that turned out to not be there too.

I had a ghost in a house I bought when I was 19. Bought a former crackhouse in Detroit & rebuilt it, just for background on the place. So there was water damage. In one room the paint came down in a sheet that resembled a bust. where the face would be there were water stains in the shape of eye sockets. That room had a different feel to it. Stereos would turn on by themselves. Once, I was in the kitchen with a friend and the front door opened. It had a heavy latch and I clearly heard that latch pushed. Nobody was there. I nicknamed him "Fred" because Fred is dead. Haha. So one night I was up playing video games and the alarm had gone off a few times. Girlfriend had hit the snooze. I hear footsteps come done the hall and stop behind me. I said "So you finally got your ass up, huh?" There was no answer. Because there was nobody behind me. She was still in bed, asleep.

Another time I awakened to the squeaking of a door. Like it was moving only a few inches back and forth repeatedly. I asked Fred to stop moving the door. The door stopped. I woke up completely then. I asked Fred to move the door. Nothing. I then said "I am sorry if I offended you Fred. You can move the door if you want to." It started right back up immediately.

Then one day my daughter was visiting and talking to an imaginary friend. She used to talk about one that she named something weird. I asked her if she was talking to the friend. "No. I'm talking to a ghost. His name is Fred and he lives here. His bedroom is my room (the room that had the paint peel.) Scared the hell out of me.

I also think a family member I liked said a quick goodbye when he died. My uncle was dying of cancer. I was walking home a little drunk when I just had this feeling hit me. I said "I'm going to miss you Uncle Tony." And I felt happy for him to be free of his pain. I then called mom to tell her her brother was dead. While telling me she hadn't heard anything her call waiting went off.

As for dreams... I've had a few that were surreal enough that I think may have been a communication with my grandma and my father. But those are for another time. I've rambled on enough. :)

But I like it!
Fire a bunch of years, and in a bunch of countries, every now and then when walking down the street the lights above will flicker and shut off as I walk under them.

I tend not to mention this toany people as it sounds strange and I have no explanation for it, but it's happened dozens of times, in various countries, over a 40 year period...

When I was 12, a few friends and I were camping out. It was a camping ground with tropical, lush forestation among some cleared plots of land. One night at around 2am I was up with a few campers trying to fall asleep, sleeping bags out of our tents under the night sky.

I am a real dreamer, always in my own world. I was staring ahead into the dark where there were bushes, trees and plants. My vision picked up on the silhouette of a small figure ( about a foot high ) with a grinning face in a costume much like disneys peter pan, in a real power stance. What was creepy was his face, it had a manic grin and it seemed he was looking right at ME !

The distance between myself and little goblin/elf/duende like creature was about 10-15 meters. There was wind flowing and moonlight shone down on us, eerily shining a spotlight on the creature and its grinning evil looking full on grin.

Staring standoff for about a minute as my heart thumped in my chest, suddenly the wind blew, leaves a bushes and when I searched it was gone !

I was not under the influence of any form of drugs or hallucinogens at the time.

I told my parents and brothers but I can understand they were sceptical. If you are reading this and find it hard to believe, I don't blame you. I replayed that night so many times in my head and concluded that either I did see something and it exists, or it was simply pareidolia and my imagination got the better of me. Besides, if he was dancing around or exhibiting any form of movement other than that manic grin and power stance I would be more convinced it was a live creature and not my eyes playing tricks.

I think it makes great campfire storytelling, though. True story .

I have also had a similar episode of sleep paralysis. I was 17, on a visit home from studies abroad.
I was in my room and had an early night, right after dinner. A few hours later, I woke up in the dark, frozen. Terror seized me as I knew what this meant ( I had a few episodes before ), and my fears were realised when a SHRILL scream pierced the darkness and the room started to fill with voices and I felt the presence of others in the room. I think my spirit was awake in my sleeping body, and I could "see" faces appear above me, and they seemed to swirl around the room as I looked up, laughing down maliciously at me as I lay in terror. I was actually asleep, and my eyes closed, but I could see them !

After what seemed like forever, I felt my body again. I opened my eyes and looked up, the faces had disappeared and the room was back to normal.

A year before this episode, I was in the UK and taking a nap after the grind in school. Fast asleep in my dorm room, I lapsed into the "mode". This was my first real experience with sleep terror.

I felt conscious in spirit, and I felt myself rise from my body... I floated above myself and I tried moving, slowly and requiring intense effort. I felt like a baby with no muscle memory. I sank through the floor and remember thinking "am I going to hell?" and my spirit floated up again... I drifted to my friends room and the whole place was empty. My surroundings felt like a dream or another dimension. Then I felt myself gravitating back to my body and I awoke from my nap.

Since then I've had a few episodes of sleep paralysis, but none as terrifying. I notice it happens a lot especially when I am exhausted and I fall asleep on my back facing upwards.

Someday I hope to understand why these things happen.

Here are those lights in sequence. Look at how long they stuck around for. AND, he never saw this happen again since that night...

I think I might see the figure in the woods. There is a rectangular box type object in the left of the frame. At the 6 second mark look in the black sky halfway between that box and the tree to the right, just above the horizon. It looks like a figure appears for a split second.

I think the orb and lights are probably a bug, but the figure is very interesting.

I don't see it. I did ask him to send it but has to find it first. The only thing about the bug theory is how long the lights stay around. They were there all night. And wouldn't the shape of the beams be more "organic"?

In spite of having had numerous experiences with ghosts and unexplained phenomena, I haven't posted yet. But something happened recently that blew my mind.

My daughter was married on Oct. 3rd. The ceremony was delayed because one of our close friends lost consciousness on the way in. Paramedics came and another friend, who is a nurse, worked on her for over 1/2 hour before she was lucid enough to deny further treatment and the ceremony and wedding proceeded.

But, while my friend was working on her she asked her the basic questions; what is your name, who is the president... and what date is it? When asked what date it was, she looked right at the team and replied, "November 17th." No one thought anything more than that she wasn't cognizant of what was going on.

The next week, it was determined that she had brain cancer.

On November 17th, my friend passed away.

That's amazing! Her spirit was aware. Life is mysterious.

Decades ago I was renting a basement apartment with a back alley and front gate entrance. A friend was driving me home after a late night class and she pulled up to the alley, which looked strangely darker, narrower, and creepier. I asked her to take me around to the front gate instead because the alley was giving me the creeps. Later that night I was a victim of a very violent crime involving a chopping knife in my own bedroom, which I do not talk about further because no need to relive it. But I will say someone had forced open my window. Weeks later my friend mentioned how the alley had given me the creeps, and it was then I finally recalled saying so. Had my subconscious seen more in the alley than my conscious did?? Or was it a premonition?

On a positive note having lived in Marfa Tx I have seen the mystery lights a number of times.
