oohhhh myy goood, you guys are too funny. I laughed so hard reading through those comments. I just don't know what to say! hahah.

Anyhow, here's some photos.

The ink turned out really nice. I was so nervous for that first stamping... as you can see I must have done 50 or so tests before taking the plunge, haha. All of them turned out great though!

Notice the colour change when I apply the beeswax/mineral oil.

Dear goodness Dan. This has to be the most beautiful complete vaporizer packages on the market. And that is despite some tough competition.

Not only that but your updates, and the way you go about them with your pictures makes it easier to wait than anything else. We see the time and details through your eyes so well it is simply a pleasure to sit back and chill.

This may sounds crazy to some but mine may remain a display piece for a while. Unused. Is it possible? Could i even contain myself for one day? Week? Month? Year? I see it almost as functional vapor art. It is a cool display piece.

My god...It's beautiful. This makes me really envious I didn't get the two-tone now. Great work as usual Dan, I can't wait to hold mine in my hand. Also, could the green one in the first pic possibly be mine (#2)?

@IAmKrazy2 Thank you! Such kind words! :)

Also... consider the fact that I've tried to design the Okin to get better with use/age. I feel like I can only go half way into the crafting process before passing it onto the user. You guys will continue the process. Only through use will the Okins' true character finally emerge.

Cheesey, I know.

@MindVape , It may be yours. ;)

That stem looks absolutely gorgeous, but unlike others here Im not keen on that two tone colour scheme at all....sorry.

I think it clashes with the overall aesthetic and "olde worlde" vibe/feel of the okin and seems out of place. :2c: ;)

Can we have a close up of that stunning stem @Dan Morrison ?

I share the same sentiments about the two tone box. Doesn't really fit in with the smooth aesthetic. I actually prefer the plain box right next to it.

Just a thought how would you load it if the coal holder was permanently attached to the stem ;)

The picture a few posts above shows the full breakdown of parts. Only the 2 parts are user serviceable. The steel tip comes away from the wooden stem and allows for the changing of screens and cleaning.

So Mr @Dan Morrison, we're approaching the end of the crafting of the first batch of 10, the tools you've made to ease the production seem to be ready and there are 50 persons that can't wait to finally get theirs plus all the people ready to send their "pre-order" mail for the next batch, would you be able to give us a rough guesstimate of when you think the first 50 Okins will be by their owner's side like they should please?

Well, I think I'm just going to hold off on that estimate for right now. Let me see how the next week goes, lots of stuff in flux. I believe that I can make and ship 10 Okins every three weeks, or less.. perhaps. We will see. I'll make a more accurate guess after I have my electric kiln running, it's in the shop, I just ran the 220v cable and installed the new breaker box... things are happening in the background...

Eye candy time!
