Does having good food/snacks enhance your experience?

Hey everyone. Like the title says, when the munchies hit (if you get them), does having good snacks or food enhance your experience or does it not matter? What are some of the things you like munching on? Are you a salty/spicy person, or someone who goes for sweets? I'd like to hear from you guys. Thanks!

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
You know, it's funny, most times I'll just drink a little flavored seltzer. But every now and then I will indulge. When I'm prowling, I tend to like food from the "cakey" food group. The wife having a homemade banana bread or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting on the counter can be deadly! It especially goes down well with either a cold glass of milk or a hot cup of coffee.

But right now it's one of those large Penn Dutch hard pretzles.

Bump, goddamn it :spliff:

Salt, salt and more salt, lol. Not much of a chocolate or sugar fan but love anything savoury...

I've had a recent (ish) t-break and the munchies came back with a vengeance when i started using again.
Potato crisps aren't allowed in my house right now because i have no self control. Whilst i am no longer hoovering up every bit of food in the house, i am still prone to eating too much at the moment.

Eating something delicious when stoned is amazing but eating too much really detracts fom my experience. I hate that overly-full feeling.

When i get the munchies it's all about shovelling food into my gob. It's not very enjoyable for me. Imo, good food should be savoured and enjoyed not shoved down your throat in a feeding frenzy. I don't like the feeling of not being in control (which is how i feel when i have the munchies).

Well, Look up mangos, some people believe eating one before smoking/vaping helps enhance the experience, but I don't know the science behind it
....................................................................
I rarely eat mangos b4 vaping but have down so once in awhile.

I thought the mangos improved the high, in intensity and length, in my experience.
Mangos contain large amounts of the myrcene terp which also is the most prevalent terp in cannabis.
It is believed that myrcene assists THC (and other mj compounds) in being effective.

Studies have shown that it helps THC etc pass more quickly from the blood to the brain.
Lemongrass and hops also have a lot of this terpene.

I'll try it again, I do have a small bag of "dried Mangos" and will experiment.
One would think mangos would also help with cannabis edibles becoming stronger and longer,

I been hearing about the mango-thing for a while now and have decided to give it a go. Will pick up a mango this afternoon and see how it goes...

My t-break induced munchies seem to be wearing off now (finally). Last night i only had a handful of macadamias and a handful of chicos (aussie lollies/candy). They were delicious!

FYI, over-ripe mangos have more myrcene. Sometimes all they have are the hard ones that need some time to ripen up.
There's a delicate balance as over-ripe mangos can enter the "slimey" zone after a certain point :)

Mangos in my part of town are not in great season right now. The last few I bought this week were quite ripe yet and real sweet/sour...

I did buy an interesting fruit the other day that I look forward to trying, anyone ever had a Kiwano African Horned Melon before?

@MinnBobber i wonder if mango juice drinks would work? I can feel a few days of serious, scientific experimentation coming on, lol. I am adding dried mango and mango juice to my shopping list...

Yup, inside is filled with gooey 'sacks' with seeds. Flavor wasn't fantastic, especially not enough to get over the slimy insides.

From what I can tell, it's mostly used as a decorative fruit

Mango juice drinks should also work but check the % on the label.
Some are so badly misrepresented it's pathetic. A blueberry pomegranate bottle that says 100% juice should be like it's name. However, the list of ingredients with largest ingredient first might read:
apple juice, pear juice, blueberry juice, pom juice so neither BB or Pom are even the most prevalent juice in the bottle :(
Check bottled juices and frozen concentrates for any that list as 100% juice and mango as the first ingredient. There might not be any....

Mango juice might not be in the "miracle" category but if it primes the pump a little, why not?
