I am struggling with temp and amount.
Warm up time 15-20 minutes. Setting varies between 6 and 8.

I use a small amount but it takes a few draws to get it extracted. Or I get good vapour but takes more than one extraction (to much weed?) and sometimes not complete spent. Can some one tell me a way to calibrate this if that is possible.

There is an earlier post about heating up and expanding and cracking the glass that the atomizer is in. PV commented on letting it complete its heat before putting in glass piece. How do u do that given the equipment given us.

imo heatup time is longer than 15-20 mins
I let mine heat up with the heater on the atomizer (because heat equilibrium is crucial) at 10-11 heat
then i drop it down to either 'low 8- high 7'. The reason I start it at 10-11 is because I believe this lets the unit heat up faster.

I usually pack about half a teaspoon or less.

I find I have your issue when the unit isn't heated up enough,
it's one of the major drawbacks of the sublimator, slow heatup time, but I forgive that drawback
because when it's heated up those hits are worth it.

Still hoping someone will hack the device so it doesn't have the timer issue.

I tried letting it heat up longer ( 25 minutes ) and I used a pinch at 7 which extracted it to light roast with basically one inhale starting slow until I see vapour and then pull harder. 2nd pinch I did better at getting a one hitter

Then tried 2 pinches in EVO elb at 12:30 Three inhales with temp increase on third. Results seemed equally powerful much darker roast. Taste good for 2 out 3.

Two pinches and I am adjusted. Wowser

Which sublimator do you have and is it titanium or stainless steel?

Dabmaster titanium with my own glass.

I have the same setup, I hear people find that each sublimator is slightly different and you sort of have to find your own best temp and they aren't exactly consistent throughout (that being said i've used 3 different sublimators and always found 7-8 to work well). (hopefully that makes sense)

I find everytime I use the sublimator I never have to pull slowly, I can pull as hard as I want and the sublimator will keep up with me.

I have a cloud and find that it and the sublimator can both be kind of similar and in some ways i prefer the cloud but the sublimator I find definitely gives me bigger/beastier hits but doesn't taste as nice imo compared to the cloud.

I think a big factor of the sublimators performance inconsistency is based on where you are vaping, because all the heating elements are exposed essentially, if you're vaping in a cold area it may take longer to heat up potentially?

Hope I offered some insight here,
Happy Subbing.

So what does everyone think about the sublimator glass?
SubElectro45Watertool
SubColdwall45GlassTube
SubAries45GlassTube
What would be the best set up would you think?

I was very excited to see the new Cold Wall tube but knew they were going to heavily mark it up. Even with the exchange rate helping out, ~$260 before shipping is rather much for what it is. Unfortunately it just happens to be EXACTLY what I had been searching for; a 45mm top piece that has a conveniently angled spout and a dry cooling design. No other piece I could find on the internet really fit that criteria. And the video they posted of it on the Sublimator YouTube channel with the pineapple Limonchello drink, kinda sold me on it even more lol. I already know that's going to be a very popular party trick

Has anyone had any experience with one yet? Does it work well?

I finally revived my Apollo SS 2.0 sub recently and as expected I am loving it. Such a powerful hard hitting device! The hits are even smoother then regular vapor but more potent, harder hitting and bigger at the same time! And don't get me started on double deckers.

What does suck though is broke my D020-D bubbler while using it with the sub and not paying attention. After that happened I wanted to order a piece more stable that paired really well with the sub so I went with the FC-186 since it seemed like a good match. I can't wait! Now I just need to get myself a reclaim catcher of some sort. Anyone know where to get a good cheap one?

I have been thinking about getting the UFO for a while now but wondered where the reclaim would go... can you please post a pic of the ufo / kathay reclaimer and Sub being used... thanks

If you're in a rush for the reclaim adapter, I went with Oregon Glass Blower. I told him exactly what I wanted and it was perfect for $60 or so.

So I would like to make an update after having the SS Apollo 45mm kit for over a month. Its AMAZING. Even with the service, heat up time, finicky screen, burns and temperature play. And my Subliminator was originally dead on arrival, taking a week and 15$ to get a replacement. Kinda scary spending over a 1000$. But WITH ALL THIS... its STILL WORTH IT!

I had a crazy bong habit and nothing but the heaviest hits would suffice. After a few years of coughing up tar I had enough and tried to make a transition. I had a Volcano, Q-Tower and a Solo in rotation, but the bong ruled them all.

Now I come home crank the puppy to 12 for about 20 min and back it down to an 8. Its all about the heat and that thermal equilibrium that Enrico loves with the Sub. Gotta be careful not to ignite the goods, but I love my AVB dark.

The amount of oil this thing makes is awesome, with about 6-8 bowls I get a huge dab of sublimate. And hands down, double-deckers are where its at.

So now other then the screen which I plan to upgrade (WISPR) asap, I noticed that the sub hates ambient temperature fluctuations. I thought the thing was dead a few times already when I had a cold draft running through the house.

So until another product is created equal I think the Sub is an unrivaled 1 hitter quitter ;)

What glass are you using for the 45mm top?

Another sub user off the smoke, congratulations!

The lungs keep getting better, been about 6 months for me and the tar is completely out. Could never go back now. No more wheezing or cough-ups. That made my sub worth every cent.

Here's my timer solution, I haven't made it yet but I've got all these bits kicking around and realised I can whip up a hilarious button presser in minutes that anyone could put together.

Digital 110/240v timer plugged into wall -> 12v transformer plugged into timer -> wired onto that transformer a 12v Actuator Connected with a frame around the the monkey box. (wood, lego, mechano, 3d printer wot eva ) -> rubber finger on the end of the actuator for realism :) and pressure absorption/adjustment.

Then set the timer for a on off schedule. Voila!:lol::lol:
I'm gonna do it for fun if nothing else. Certainly not a resolved solution but i'm pretty sure it'll do the job.
