W9 has packs of donuts to repair now... and BOINNGG over the 8 on ov for 90 bucks. Soooo @THC SCIENTIFIC i can grab an 8, and an alpha from ov, and a 1701 7.4 from w9? I guess i maybe asking the same q as @Breathemetal , but im ass deep in some fresh live resin tonight.

Wow got me tempted as well I was looking for a Persei + Core but what would be the pros of the 8 over the Persei; I may just wait all together unless I see a killer sale because I'd like to get the new WIP mod for the Hercules.

Ive got a v4 persei that does not respond to my fingers or run my gen 3 carts reliably at 7.4v. Ive been trying to get my v4 off to one of my friends before justifying an 8 purchase to the woman. I like the idea of a hand held dialed in herc, but ill worry about that A: when it exists and B: when my hammer top fails.

Would you elaborate on the core kit conversion to passed through?

The core itself is basically a variable voltage vaporizer, just add a top and it's working.

The 1701's in ov are non rebuildable and 3.7v only

Yes you can.

Some how I got my hands on what appears to be Iris v1's that can run the Hercules sr74x.

Your top should work fin on the gen three there are some minor issues with gen three being out of spec because the tolerance levels are so close, we are working on a top that will fix this issue and should be out in about 45 days.

@THC SCIENTIFIC and @SamuraiSam,

A couple of questions. When and/or where are Okeanos available? They have been sold out for quite a while. I own one, but I know two different people who would like to get their own.

I also know a few people who want to buy Persei's for themselves but they are not sure which models are available? Is the V4 top for sale yet? I remember @THC SCIENTIFIC saying something about tweaking them to work with the newest KISS carts. Any news on that?

Finally, Delta9 and oil vaporizer.com have really good deals on 5 packs of the new KISS carts ($8 per cart), but only for 510 batteries. Where can us folks with true Up Tech 610 batteries get this kind of deal? If you buy in bulk from the Up Tech site the carts end up being almost $10 a pop.

we should be getting a new batch next few days.

As for the discount on multiple carts that's being discussed for our members and should have an answer in 1 week.

It would be cool to use alpha carts for okeanos maybe like a converter kit to use okeanos on alpha?

Yeah, i wasnt very clear in my posting last night. Im really not having a good time with the touch button. I hate touch everythings because tactile buttons were created for a reason. Im sure just like every asshole loves their iphone, my personal preference lies against the grain with the touch sensor. Plus i need the 8 like i need a backup sr74... just in case doomsday, you know?

Due to the fact the space requirements for the Persei a touch button is the only way to ensure reliability when it comes to the Persei, when we switched over our failure rate and repair rate dropped because of this.

With this said there are other vaporizers like the mods we are working on that uses a tactile switch like the Original Persei.

Each Have a place in our arsenal. Just wait for things to play out and see what we have planned.

Don't get me wrong I do enjoy my v4 it just requires me paying a little closer attention between hits once I got used to it it's been a really nice upgrade the only time I use my v2 now is when I'm passing it around to friends who get confused by the touch sensor of the v4

Since I get my v4 I don't share anymore my Persei....it was a pia (and friends think I'm crazy!) to tell them always to take care to the button!

I loaded my hercule with some nice Killer Kush live resin, so yummy!

Bah, made the mistake of passing herc around with too much live resin and got my first leak in a while... connection still good cause ive wrecked the bottom of the rod clamping it in, so ill wait before doing a real clean, but goddamn it... lazy friends without the common courtesy of taking proper cool down hits...

Idk if anyone else has tried them, but the og kiss globe coils work in the AC. I have quite a few left so figured I would try it. Works awesome. Glad o don't have to get a new globe to use these 10 coils.

The thread works and I am blowing huge clouds with my OG ti dual coil.

Edit. Just double checked. It may not be an exact match, but if you are careful it goes on smoothly all the way.

The threading is different. When you do this, you are damaging threads.

Everything screws back in fine. I can see how if you jus screwed it down without thinkin you could damage threads, but there is no resistance at all when I screw it in.

I'm not saying it's right, but it works. I have a whole drawer full of og globe coils. They are hitting much quicker than the AC coils that it came with. Idk why, but the AC coils take way too long to heat for me.

Now, do the ac coils gently screw in to the globe base?

It's because of the coils thickness and the black ceramic to slowly heat up to provide taste and longevity to oils, many people press the button for 15-20 seconds with traditional coils this heats up your oil to fast and burns your oil. This is why we introduced the stronger coils so that you just compensate a few extra seconds but preserve the taste.
