Who said anything about 510 connectors?

The batteries are removable.

Actually you did. You said 'e-cig charger', right? Perhaps you meant '18650 charger'?

While we were discussing plug in chargers I think, yes I know the batteries are removable and could be charged externally. In fact I'd go as far as saying every Air owner has noticed that.

Anyway, all the 'e-cig chargers I have are 510 thread. Well, OK a couple are 601 thread. Sorry for the confusion, I hope you can see how it happened?

Very true. That said with the AU$ tanking retailers that have stock can hold their prices lower before raising them in line with currency. It was worth the extra few $ when I purchased my air for the speed of getting it in 2 days & having local warranty representation.

Speaking of Namaste vapes I am thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these for the Air.

For only $100 it seems like it may be worth a gamble.

Might very well be for some but I find I can easily toast the contents of a stem without any unpleasant harshness and from my ABV QWISO experiments , there really is not much active material left in my abv - so I don't bother with water.

Clearly lots of people do like to use water judging from some of the Heath Robinson ("Rube Goldberg" for our north 'merkin cousins) apparatus gear shots I've seen posted here!

I wonder if the harshness which comes from cellulose pyrolysis at higher extraction temperatures is what drives many CBD seeking medical users to use higher temps, which might be irritating without water.

Moreover, I'm a clumsy old fool and I do not want any water sitting directly above the electronics while transforming into my clumsy old stoned fool form. Combining vake water, gravity and live (albeit low voltage) electronics is not likely to end well in my hands....but as always, YMMV.

With all this talk about water, I wanna try it again, but I'm such an old school joint guy, water just doesn't do it for me. I mean I love vaping, especially stems (AA, Nano), but with the cumbersomeness, and less taste, and the fact that I like to sip like an e-cig most of the time, really makes water not work for me.

Maybe one day I'll jump in the pool again.

You don't need to go big here, you can go FBomb or PNWT for instance. Or the next step down to something like this:

Smaller in diameter than the Air makes it under 5 inches longer and not much heavier. It doesn't spill no matter which way you turn it (yes, even upside down). And you can go still smaller on the same theme (though not much shorter).

FWIW I don't think running vapor through a bubbler removes much taste, noting like the change when blazing. It might catch some wax and junk you probably don't want anyway, but the water stays clear and doesn't really smell (unlike bongs). It does add moisture back in though, which is nice sometimes.

Your call, but for not much money you can check it out without modifying your style (I'm a sipper, too) and have it as an option (say like when your throat is raw?).

Water is old school for me. When I was first starting, the older stoners (with whom once in a while I'd find myself 'privileged enough' to party with) were already set up with their long bongs. (Usually smelly too but that's another matter.) I never liked bongs all that much because they got me so effing blasted. One hit and the party was over for me. Right past high to super stoned. Two hits and I might as well not have bothered going out to party because I wasn't going to remember it!

The fact is for me, though, that vapor can get a little harsh on my lungs. And I don't go to high temps on my vapes. So I've started dabbling with a small WT (more of a small bong, not a microbubbler) and found it to eliminate lung discomfort when I use it. So I beginning to be of the sentiment that some sort of wt is a good thing with vaporizers. Just a question of finding what matches one's needs.

(I had a take at my wt a little earlier. And the bong effect is still a thing, all these years later : )

((And oh yeah. I learned from my first wt lesson. I'm getting a gb 187 s. Worth comparing with the d020 bubblers)).

Where would you recommend buying an arizer air? I have bought from piu before and randy is great but I am conflicted because the planet vape deal with an extra battery also sounds really nice. Is their customer service as good? I live in the south east United States if that makes a difference. Thanks.

If you can, buy it from puffitup but get them to price match the planetvape deal. If you need warranty service shipping back to planetvape will be international shipping and will be nearly $20, plus you'll have to fill out the customs form that ask you to describe the contents of the package. The free extra battery is nice though, but if you get them to drop it then adding an extra battery would bring back to what it's selling for.

I get good customer service from Planetvape too. If the deal is better and you don't have to pay for shipping. Now, if you have a problem with your unit (very few faulty) will Planetvape pay for you to ship the unit back? Randy at PIU will send a shipping label so you don't have to pay shipping back.

EDIT
Good idea about the price match. That's good to know about having to pay for shipping back in case it's faulty to PV. I guess @Uzer solved your problem. Randy's the man. PIU again stellar customer service.

I had a warranty issue with my Air from planetvape and I was responsible for shipping costs back to them.

I guess old school depends where you went to school. In the 70's, when I get into weed, people had "bongs", "water pipes", but we weren't really even into pipes. It was all about the "perfectly rolled doob", which was no easy feat with seedy pot, out in some freezing doorway on a street corner in the dead of a NYC winter. We were kinda "street thugs", water pipes musta been a luxury.

When I grew up and got out of "hell", I still smoked joints, never liked the heat of a pipe, and never really messed with water. I keep trying. I have a hydrotube and a D020 something or other. I have no clue how to really use them (I know the basics), but water sessions never seem to hit as hard. I guess I need a "lesson", just to get it down, and see what everyone is loving so much.

ON ANOTHER NOTE
I've ordered a Zion, naming it Zeven. I'm feeling a bit guilty I haven't named my 2 go-to AA's.
got a couple of cool ideas....

Bongs seem to hit me much harder than a sipper type of vape..dont get me wrong i love to sip on some good tasting cannabis..but sometimes i wanna choke..and with vapor it is harder to achieve unless using water..but to me all vapes dont provide big hits through water..i like to have different glass options and different methods of vaping at my disposal..when i combusted i literally had 2 one hitter glass pipes and now i have a serious problem with vas, gas, and any other ass out there..

Thanks @Uzer and @CarolKing for the advice, I'll be ordering from randy at piu.

You know, for a new guy, you catch on fast!

Good call, welcome to 'the club'. Now begins the wait, you'll find Randy is amazingly fast. I once got a replacement for a DOA (it happens) in less than 24 hours. Honest, I emailed him at like 11AM and had it in hand at 10AM the next day. It was only 300 miles of so but this is the Post Office we're talking here. Then can take much longer to go much shorter.........

Has anyone happened to come across any of the curved stems that was designed for the Air? From what I've read on the forum here, the Solo stems will fit perfectly into the Air. But being the Solo stems are a little bigger and I would assume heavier as well, I thought it may feel a little awkward for lack of a better word.

SWEET! Just went and ordered myself one!! A friend of mine has a Solo that I have used several times and I really enjoyed the curved stem. My friend said that he loves the curved stem and has probably only used the straight stem two or three times since he's had it.

I've been lurking here for a week or so, mainly staring at the graph above and making my own version of it with the batteries I have. I've had similar results, but a few surprises popped up. Is there an updated version? Or would it be cool to post mine here?
Post it. I'm curious to see what surprises you found. I think it's a bit hard to standardize draws/volume of air through it when you do it yourself. Ideally it would be hooked up to a vacuum on a timer of some sort to make sure only X liters of air are drawn consistently through Y time.

now the device is charging and waiting time still SUCKS! hehe :):)

I did not think that it is so damn small (*exploding orgasm* - no this issnt ectoplasm xD)

really cant wait to take the first hit, but i would heat up the device first because of the stems (they fit better after first heat up they mentioned in the readme).
