Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Well, Ive been down for a bit as I just got back from surgery on Friday. My 3rd ankle surgery in the past year and a half and I have 2 more to go. I have a degenerative disorder that affect both of my ankles. I can say for a fact that anyone who tries to tell you that vaping marijuana for pain maintenance doesn't work is a fool. Im not sure I would have made it through all this without my vape. My Haze V3 is my bestest friend right now. Thanks once again to Haze for making such a fine product!

Hey Philreal, I saw youre using a Santa Cruz Shredder for your grind. I recently got one myself and find the grind I get from the SC is pretty much perfect for the Haze V3. Those of you looking for a good grind consistency, you may want to look into the SC.

I'm on page 74 of reading this thread. I know, I could go to the "Reader's Digest" edition. But then I couldn't say I read the thread. I never liked "Cliff's Notes" anyway.
I'm expecting delivery of a black V3 on Tuesday. I'm not new to vaping, I've got a MFLB, just got tired of replacing Indicas, (went thru three in a year).
I have a MFLB finishing grinder. Is there an advantage to grinding herb that fine?
I have a three piece titanium space-case. Is that sufficient grind for use in the cans?
Sorry if that has come up in the last fifty-eight pages, but I'll catch up soon.
Thanks in advance.

So do u really get that much from starting at 1 and finishing at three.i usually start at 2 and end at three. what method do you use the dry herb can or the conduction screen

I use the cans, but I use the original silicone lids that came with previous versions. I find the SS screen doesn't give as many clouds, for some reason. Anyway, usually I start on 2, let the vapor get going (about 3 pulls), and then turn it back to 1. The vapor is thin, but very flavorful. I turn it to 2 when the taste starts to change. However, when I'm with friends, I start on 2 or 3 to get maximum clouds.

I'm sad to hear that the original silicone lids are discontinued! They work much better with dry herb than the new ones, and I don't like the SS lids because they gunk up the oven covers so badly (and they fall off too easy). Is there any way I can stock up on some, if any are left? Even better, any chance Haze might decide to make more?

Are you putting the SS lids on correctly? If you slide the tab inside the can, they don't fall off. Mine arrived without the tab being tucked in, leading to a little confusion about how easily the lid was dislodged until I realized that the tab should be inside the can.

same with me... took me a little to realize I was supposed to have the tab inside the can

Yes, I put the tab inside the can. They still don't stay on anywhere near as good as the silicone ones do. Plus, the tabs bend. And like I say, they gunk up the lids of the oven. The new silicone lids don't work as well with dry herb because they stick down too far into the can and they don't have the same airflow. So yeah, I like the old lids better. I'd just like to get some of those if I could.

@django7 please send me a PM with how many you want. We have a small amount left.

@FlyingLow let me know what you are looking for. You can send me a text too. I am sure we can work something out.

For everyone....thank you for the feedback. We will take this into consideration.

I am looking at creating two video's as soon as we find the time and resources. One will be a training video for usage and cleaning. The other will be geared towards retailers for helping them know how to sell the Haze.

As I mentioned previously, I second that the tabs on the ss lids bend to easily. But, personally I prefer them to the old lids. While they might gunk up the top of the oven that's pretty easy to clean with a qtip and iso and I always found little bits of herb escaped more easily through the old lids. Also with the ss lids you can pack the most herb into the cans of any of the lids in my experience.

I forget who mentioned it before, but running your thumb across the metal top when it is still hot does a good job of cleaning the steel part of the oven top, too.

I'm going to be ordering my Haze v3 in the next week! I have tried going back and reading in this thread, as well as searching for it across Google etc, and I can't find a thorough video on how to clean your Haze V3! I know this is probably cause this version just came out recently but can someone post one? Again if someone already posted it earlier in this thread I am sorry. Tried to go back and read some.

Anyways I know you probably need to clean the mouthpiece once a day. But what about a thorough cleaning? I am OCD and I also plan on using my Haze multiple times a day so I will plan on doing a thorough cleaning probably 2-3 times a week as well as a spot clean after every use or every other use. (Just like a clean my class pieces I own).

Also what is yalls take on what to use to clean? I recently have read and researched about Mr Clean Magic eraser! From my findings it isn't toxic and isn't harmful to use and works great. ISO is pretty good but sometimes it doesn't quite do it for my glass. Sometimes I have to use glass cleaner I got from a local headshop to finish off what ISO couldn't handle.

Anyways anxious for y'all to get back to me! Excited to order my Haze V3 soon! Can't wait to be on the vapeSquad and also the Haze Team. Thanks FC!

If I could make one criticism of the Haze, it's that I wish it had the ability to be used while charging. Since it only comes with 2 batteries, and the manual recommends charging them both at the same time, there come times when I'm Hazeless. Perhaps I should buy 2 more batteries so I always have a pair ready?

Hi Alexis,

We are working on some videos but nothing now. Cleaning is pretty simple.

Just take a q-tip and some ISO to wipe down all the stainless steeel area's including the mouthpiece channel.

SS and Glass mouthpieces can be soaked in ISO along with screens/cans. Just rinse with water when done.

The only other area you need to clean is the small hole that feeds the mouthpiece channel from the oven chambers. For those I dip a pipe cleaner in ISO and brush out the inner walls of that path. You have to turn the switch to open up the ovens when doing this.

@MichaelCompton I am not having any trouble with the links??

@scottg402,

Hey, Scott. Say, can you provide a guideline for how long a v3 should take to reach lights solid on setting 3 and 4 using concentrate cans? I know it varies by battery... I guess I'm looking for a time that would be considered excessive using the best of 4 batteries (2 standard, 2 XL).

To paraphrase to maybe make more sense more sense of my request: How slow is slow enough that it should be sent in for warranty work?

If such a guideline isn't possible, specifically: Is 1 minute and 25 seconds to solid 3 lights on with a recently charged XL battery too slow or somewhere in the ok range?

To be clear, the above isn't a gripe. Just wanting to be able to set realistic expectations for my well liked v3.

If anyone has timed their v3's, timing datapoints by variation (can or screen, type of battery, fresh charge, etc) would sure be appreciated!

Thanks!

yes sir invest in the extra batteries! And since you only got 2 I'm guessing you just have the regular batteries and not the XL's! I am going to buy The Event Party Pack off Hazevapoizers.com. Comes with 2 XL's and 2 regular batteries. Will come in handy to have a few extras.

And thanks @scottg402 ! Sounds like the Haze v3 Should be simple to keep it clean, and that makes for a happy man.

Oops, I guess I missed that in the directions, because I charge them solo all the time. Have I been damaging the batteries by doing this?
