Need a comprehensive guide to make shatter e-juice

i am tired of having a dab rig be the only viable way to use shatter (atomizers just splash it all over the place) so I am looking into combining it with some kind of glycerine to make it liquid form that will be all uniformly vaped at once leaving no splatter, no residue, and very little cleanup.

- PG, VG, or PEG? Best one for shatter?

- best tank to use? No top wicks right. Prefer to buy from eBay or a place with PayPal so I don't have to register.

- need a link to a guide preferably involving pictures, a video, and pictures of the finished product.

- list of materials I will need (syringes or pipettes?)


Is this stuff Better than C02 extract oil? I can get them from the delivery places for like $40 for a pre-filled but I am wondering if the shatter dissolved to make it liquidy would he any better. (500 hits a gram sounds good to me, don't get nearly close to that with the pre filleds, even 1g)

Ok I've got the recipe figured out I just need an Atomizer.

What's a good atomizer to use for this? Preferably wickless unless it won't work without a wick.

Okay, roughstack, here's a breakdown of what I do and use:

• Plain 510-threaded e-Go style battery. 3.7v or so. Cost me maybe $18 locally at a vape shop. Get online cheaper if you want.
• Get these cartridges/atomizers.
• Get these syringes.
• Get this PG bottle that will last you and your friends forever.
• Obtain favored strain of shatter (I mostly use my vape for on-the-go, preferably with a high strength Sativa, i.e. Pineapple Chunk or some Diesel/Poison variety).
• Set up a small saucepan/pot with about 1" of water.
• Turn the stove to medium to get the water hot.
• Place a (glass) shotglass in the center and while it is heating up...
• Pull .5mL of propylene glycol into the syringe and push the solution into the shotglass.
• Break off 1/4 of a gram of shatter (.25g) and put it in the shotglass. It doesn't look like much at this point, but it will sure fill the cartridge!
• Let the water be hot and heat up the shotglass and solution.
• When the solution is getting a bit melty and mixed, stir it with the tip of the syringe.
• After about 10 minutes or so, the shatter/wax/bho should be fully melted and the solution is ready to load.
• Stick the syringe at the bottom center of the shotglass and pull the punger slowly and steadily.
• You should fill the syringe about 3/4 of the way, as .5mL of PG and .25g of shatter comes out to around .75mL in liquid form.
• Attach the rubber funnel that came with your cartridges' packaging to the end of the syringe and push the solution into the cartridge from the top hole. Do this slowly and steadily.
• Put the cap and mouthpiece back on the cartridge.
• Wait 5min or so to cool, making sure to keep the cartridge standing up straight.
• Hit and enjoy!

About 4-5 hits gets me where a small bowl of greens would, and I don't have to recharge the battery (950mA, I think) for days at a time. It is small enough to fit in my pants pocket next to my phone, or in my shirt pocket if I'm at work. The atomizers/cartridges I linked to are great because they won't leak. I can leave them sitting there for a week or more without use and they don't separate or leak. It's very convenient. Good luck!

Thank you. I have some EJmix right now because I am a beginner with this but after a few batches I'll get some PG.

When I want to flavor it, what can I add? Flavored 0% nic e liquid or like a drop of flavor concentrate by say lor Ann oils or something? I am looking at Dewberry flavor concentrate by Kilo, not sure of the ejmix is already flavored and would make it funky though.

Hey roughstack, check out the edit I made to the post/instructions. Adjusted the amounts to the ratio I found works best. You can do 1:1 ratio PG:shatter, but I prefer 2:1 ratio PG:shatter. Flows better and never have any dry hits or wasted remnants around the wick at the end of the tank.

As to the mix you have, it's probably just propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin combined. VG doesn't bond with the shatter/oil so well, and separates fairly quickly, faster than I would finish a full tank, so they use the PG as the carrier to bond with the concentrate, and VG for taste and clouds, I think. PG is all you need, and it still allows the flavor of the shatter/oil to shine through!

I don't have much experience with flavoring, but any essential oil would be fine, or just get a small amount of flavored 0.0mg nicotine solution to mix with the rest of the PG you suck up in the syringe. I might try "skittles" flavor e-juice with some CO2 Oil I've got laying around. You have my interest piqued. Let me know how it goes, and don't do it baked the first time. Your hands will quiver with excitement and spillage is the last thing you need with such a precious and expensive substance.

Awesome, I've read a drop or two of flavor concentrate designed specifically for vaping can be mixed in with the shatter mix after its started to cool. I don't think I will try non-concentrate flavor method since it could dilute it further than I would like (unless, the flavored PG 0% Nic eliquid can be used as a replacement for ejmix and will dissolve everything just as well, will do the same thing with the added benefit of flavor, not sure if that will work though)

Not that I have any complaints with the regular taste of anything, I would just like to experiment with tasty flavors, and some of them sound delectable. Irish Cream? Milk and cereal? Capri Sun Ecto-Cooler? That sounds amazing. I also like that I can add in more drops if the flavor is too weak with the flavor concentrate.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for the materials and ejmix to arrive from Amazon and the Kanger mini pro tank 3 from eBay. Wondering if I should even try flavoring my first batch or not.

Just made my first batch using your instructions.

I probably used too much EJmix but I still get nice and medicated. Next batch I'll use 20% less EJmix and also add flavoring
