advice for a isolated vaper

Hello, I don't have any friends that use MJ, so I don't really have anyone to bounce things off of and I need some advice. I have used a MFLB for over a year and it has served me very well during that time. I also on occasion get the BO2 cartridges with a simple pen vaporizer for convenience from time to time. The last 3-4 months I don't feel like I am getting a good result. I'm not sure if perhaps my box has gone south, or maybe I just have built up too high of a tolerance. I am considering getting a new portable vaporizer (considering the crafty or the PAX2), but maybe my problem is just tolerance instead of the device.

I pretty much vape every night for a few hours before bed. 1 trench used to last me 1-2 nights, but now, 2 trenches, and I'm not really feeling much. It also used to be that the flight box would get a much better result than the pen. But that gradually shifted until the pen was a better result, and now -- neither are getting good results.

Is this a tolerance issue, or would a new vaporizer be a good change? Thanks.

You can take a t-break and then go back to your MFLB and see how it's working for you. My LB has performed the same over many many trenches. How does the ABV look?

I would say, if you've used the LB for a year now, you might be ready to "step up" to a better vape anyway?

It seems like you would notice if the MFLB wasn't performing properly any more, either by the difference in the ABV or the lack of vapor during use. It sounds like your tolerance just going up a bit. I would take a break from the vape pen and stick with the flower and see if that doesn't start working again in a few days. Alternatively you could take a complete break for a short time (even a short one will be significant, especially at your level of consumption I would think) to bring it back down if you wish.

Sometimes switching things up with a new vaporizer helps. Probably a T break of a few days. I really like the Solo. What about getting a water tool also. You can hit those high temps with a water tool. The Solo you can adjust the temp. The vapor tastes much better from the Solo vs MFLB.

The D020 bubbler works awesome with the Solo. I use a few different vaporizers. Many feel that helps with tolerance issues.

@silverqueen welcome to the forum, you've found a wonderful community. You aren't isolated any longer, you are among friends. We're not just a bunch of stoners. There's more to Fuckcombustion than that.:):leaf:

Yea agree possibly both. I think the best combo without giving into VAS creep is 2 portables and 1 desktop. Preferably the desktop being a convection vape. I went through more MJ with a portable and could conserve greatly with my EQ with addition to the DDave mod kit. My Summit being the one hit quitter. The Pax being the sipper. Each vape has it's positives and negatives.
Some conduction portable vapes are known to be weed hogs. Your MFLB being a canidate.
Yes you are not alone as being an isolated vapor here. Wait a sec, did I just make a paradoxical statement? :haw: Nobody I know where I live vapes, unless I bring my PAX with me.
But here, I have an alter ego. Who can now make recommends to others online, thanks to the vast info and generous wise folks here. This place rawks.
I have never purchased a vape or any vapeware without consulting FC first. Bought the EQ entirely from FC's rec'd and bought the @DDave mod kit offered on ebay from Mr. @DDave himself and returned the favor and did a full review on the EQ thread.

But the short answer. Do the research and ask questions her at FC. Including where to buy. Perhaps a model that has some sort of warranty. consider a desktop so you don't over tax the batteries as much. And consider that desktop to be a convection heat type vape since it is a plug in.

I just read the review page for the Underdog. There's Poems and Haiku's like they had a contest. And some reviewers got creative which is a fun read. Knew Underdog from reading some posts here and Underdog being an FC member. More in the powerhouse category maybe? :hmm:

An all glass path desktop vape, A custom Underdog and an Arizer portable would be my 4th and 5th and 6th personal choices. Happy with my 3, would take a PAX2 for free. :D

CuckFumbustion,
Take a break from MJ for a while dude. Give it a good solid couple of weeks, try get in cardio exercise in that time and you'll definitely feel more of a hit when you get back on it, regardless of vap performance or not. Enjoy!

I'll throw another hat into the tolerance column seeing that both the pen and the box are letting you down. On the upside it doesn’t cost anything to take a break and to check.

Regarding the MFLB: there is no more efficient vape (with herb) but there are certainly ones that are easier to use. My attitude towards my LB changed when I got a Finishing grinder. Superfine and fluffy material that allows great extraction with as little as 0.05gm. i try to keep my consumption and hence my tolerance down at the same level via micro dosing. Unfortunately vape pen disposable cartridges like those from Eureka or Absolute Extracts or Bhang, etc., have a cannabinoid concentration that is 3 times stronger than flower. So one 5 second hit on a pen gives as much THC as 3 five to ten second hits on a LB. Bottom line, IMHO, is using the pens is messing with your tolerance. Lay off them for awhile.

I gotta agree with the Desktop suggestions, or an Arizer Air or Solo.

I tried pen after pen, Both dry herb and Attys for oil/wax, and every single one of them ended up in the trash or given away.

When I got my DBV, I finally found what the hype of Vaping was all about.

The DBV can be used at low temps to sip or rip at higher temps and everything in between.

Can be found on 7th Floor website with small cosmetic defects for 125$, known as "seconds" even though they're new units.

Lol..
Must seem like I'm a DBV shill by now..:brow:

I really appreciate all the advice! It sounds like my suspicions are confirmed -- A new vaporizer (which I want anyway) with a much needed T-break might be just what I need. I want to stay portable for now, so I will start some research on a nice new portable.

thanks everyone!

I built up my tolerance over 3 months by smoking constantly. I thought my dealer didn't like me and everybody was giving me junk weed (just moved at the time to a small town). I took a 2 week break bc I was so mad at everyone who smoked then I hit just a little from my crafty and was soo soo high that I threw away my weed and got right with God. Now I can not smoke until I move to a legal state.
Sooo yeah... Maybe it is your tolerance.:)

If you are looking for a portable then I highly recommend the Airzer Air or Solo. The S&B offering may be "better" but for around the same coin you could get a quality portable & desktop with change for a cheap bubbler like the D020 that seems so popular round these parts.

Portable: Arizer Air or Solo.
Desktop: Arizer Extreme Q, DBV or Herbalaire are all great choices without breaking the bank.

Whatever way you cut it if you choose a vape that is recommended by multiple users here it is doubtful you will be disappointed.
