Home!

Not still a new release. Resisted and resisted renting it but finally gave in. Then watched it three times in 48 hours.

Cool messages (for kids and adults) throughout.

Tolerance, man. Never get tired of it.

I just bought this on BD. What I especially liked about the DVD was that it contains three different versions, including the theatrical release. I myself never cared for the "Special Edition" extended versions of this movie. I prefer the original, theatrical version that was shown in the theaters.

Anyone recall that Carl Weathers (of 'Rocky' fame) had a small role in this movie?

I'd like to see a remake of this movie, though Mr. Spielberg set the bar pretty high with the original.

But I like it!
"Let's go on a crime spree"
"Yeah, like order sushi and leave without paying"

Steven Speilberg directs his first full length movie "Duel" with Dennis Weaver, remember that? I watched this the other day. His car is an orange Plymouth Vallient an excellent 1970s movie!! I won't give away the ending. Loved him from Gunsmoke, with Marshall Dillion my fav cowboy's hero.

I remember that one! Oh yeah... that was freaky.

"The Game" with Michael Douglas. Also a great older movie I need to pull out and watch again.

Logan's Run. I don't think it got that great of reviews but I liked it. Just watched it again the other day. Michael York plays the male lead character. Farrah Fawcett has a minor role in it. On your 30th birthday you are executed.

Also with Richard Jordan and Peter Ustinov, love it.
One of those movies that frequently gets repeated on classic movie channels, as is :

Had this on recently as well, can't say i watched it all, it was on mostly as background.
There are some quite boring bits in there, but still a good flic IMO.

Snowpiercer. Best I've seen yet from Chris Evans.

Pontypool. Very atmospheric, like early John Carpenter.

Pi. Heavy musings of math, nature, and god.

The Machinist. The film that Christian Bale almost gave his life for.

Here is one to watch with a buzz.
"A Boy and his dog".

It has a young Don Johnson. (Way before Miami Vice tv show)

This used to be a midnight movie at a lot of theaters.

^^Let me know if you understand what the dog really means in the comment he makes about the girl at the end of the movie...
