And then, think about just how long pre-orders have gone on in some other threads here on FC.
Now we know without a shadow of a doubt that this one IS definitely a lot different. But just remember that there is a certain man, who is out there remaining very quiet while he keeps his eyes on the prize & his nose to the grindstone. Pouring blood, sweat & no doubt tears into this creation.
And I'd also like to mention that this is not some faceless company, nor someone hiding away from the (cult) following that they have created . . . . it is in fact fellow FC brethren who are feverishly working away, to ensure that things are perfectly right for each & every one of us.
Now I'm not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs here, I do know we know this . . . . I just like saying it cuz we're so lucky & it's so damn coooool
And I also know that this is all very easy for me to say - happily clasping Zion in hand - but you know, I was there too not so long ago - and I can certainly attest, that imo at least, patience is indeed a virtue that pays off in a big, big way where the Zion is concerned. Just look at me & Johnny
But tbh, it's fucking great to see y'all chomping at the bit!

Having used my beta religiously (and going through many portables myself) I'd actually be rather surprised if it didn't
Just remember you just ordered, so I'd presume you won't see it til November, but I'd expect well before Thanksgiving at very least...

Totally understand the jitters. I've done the same thing so many times -- pull the trigger and then start second guessing myself. Sometimes those second guesses proved accurate, but I am telling you bro, this ain't going to be one of them. Not sure how fast it will be since you're coming in on the tail-end of the pre-orders, but when you do get it, you are going to be so glad you worked through the jitters. It's the real deal, and so is its inventor and engineer.
Website issues...can't add anything there, but @thekarmawhore (the aforementioned engineer) said it all. @RastaBuddhaTao will make sure your experience is a good one.
Now for PayPal...I've used it for a long time and love it. Just don't mention anything about vaping when using PayPal, and you shouldn't have a problem.

If I paint a little art on my zion, will that screw up the warrenty?
No. As long as you don't affect the functional or structural integrity. I think RBT actually encourages personalization, provided you share pictures.
Just be careful what kind of paint or stain you use. You don't want something that will make it taste or smell funny.

Thanks you. Only real info found about it doing a quick check on google said basically be safe to do, and only painting outside not inside cap part. Assuming I won't be inhaling any paint. Anyway one comment said would void warrenty for that company, so wanted to check before I do anything.
I would also keep any paint away from the air inlet hole as well. Just to insure absolutely no pollution of Zion's lovely flavors.
Edit: I'm sure warranty will ultimately be handled by RBT not the retailer selling it. Especially for FC members.

I have access to laser die cutters and hot stampers. Though they are not made for it, I have shown customers that they can engrave certain personal items. They usually try it on their wallets.
We also have a lot of scrap wood so I can get the power settings right before I try it on mine.
If RBT has no problems, I would like to try engraving it.

Changes we know is they are tuned like DieHard's, but cleaner starting precisely at 0% with fill doal useable for temp stepping, with an additional 15% over drive. Additionally there's the stir stick multi tool and stash spot, though HD's unit had those too. The battery door is also smaller since wood covers the electronic components for production units, along with indents for fingers to open easier. Plus overall smoother fit and polish, and more uniformity unit to unit. Those are the basics, I'm sure there are a few other tidbits I missed...
@hackslasher & @Edric al-Fali body customization will be fine warranty wise, as long as its purely superficial. There will be more full manual and warranty info posted to the site soon (should be in time for your units to arrive, hopefully before), but basically glass and superficial body damage isn't covered anyhow, and batteries are only 6 months vs lifetime (or 3 years for official retail) for the heater and all the technical components.
This, ordered a single bat but will take whatever is first off the line and has international shipping.
RBT did say somewhere he was okay with the idea of people customizing their Zion's. The only thing I can remember at the moment was he had concerns that nobody compromised the heater by removing to much wood. If in doubt, or maybe as a footnote in the manual, there could be some info. on how much would be okay to remove. I would also be cautious on the paint/finish chemical make up.
For me personally I don't want to see a shipping thread. If one does appear I will not be looking at it.
The other 'shipping thread' and unfortunately the thread itself don't make for pleasant reading.
It would be a real shame if the 'Zion good vibe' was slowly eroded away.
Please everyone be patient you will get your Zions and RBT will make sure you are all happy. It will take time and I know everyone who's placed an order will be more excited than ever now its October but please just let the production team do their bit.
