Just 1 o'clock!

Yeah shouldn't be burning lol, so your abv comes out black and you taste smoke?
sounds broke to me =[! I doubt it's under warranty anymore so if i was you i'd suggest just using a lower temp for the time being, maybe your cloud just runs a little too hot?

Much to my dismay, tragedy has befallen me. Last night while cleaning up my coffee table, I accidently knocked my turbine ht over and broke the arm off it. I'm absolutely devastated right now. I don't have the funds right now to buy a new ht but my birthday is in a little over a month. My question to you fellow members is what to do now? Do I check with a glass blower and see if it can be repaired? Its only the arm that is broken where it attaches to the cylindrical part of the ht. I was still able to use my ht by simply putting my mouth over the newly exposed hole in the ht (where the arm used to connect) and it work just like before it was broken. Do i just buy a simple bong as the best low cost replacement for a hydratube? I believe 18 mm bong pair with the EVO, correct? Any advice would be greatly appreciated in such dire times.

Condolences, glasss breakage is always sad.
I think you could get it repaired for under 100$. If you tell what continent you live on, then probably someone could give you a contact for such glassblower in pm.
I broke a joint on a Vertigo hydratree recently, got a contact in pm and repaired like I described. Don't lose hope.

I picked up a straight glass turbine with 18mm female end at a head shop for like under $100. And I could have even gone cheaper had I chosen. I just liked this particular peice because it was big and fancy looking, I thought it was a piece fit for a unit like the EVO. And I honestly use it more than my Hydrahoneycomb.

But hopefully you still have your dry piece that came with it. This unit works fine dry. It's a lil harsh but just turn down the temp and play with your draw until you find your sweet spot. Ive used it without water to vape through and the vapor is STILL incredible. I mean I'd rather use a water pipe but if I didnt have one I could easily dry vape every day with this unit if I had to.

I think my Cloud is really set on the hot side.

Am I supposed to do huge fast pulls in order to make the hydratube whistle?

In order to let the airflow cool? Because I got burnt taste again at 1:00 :ninja:

The whistle comes from the bamboo, not the hydratube. Each of the Evos that I've tried had slightly different knob calibrations. If it feels like it's too hot, just turn it down. Your 11:00 could be equal to my 12:00, so you need to kinda figure out the temp profile for your own unit. You'll find your sweet spot. ;)

I use mine at 13.00.....and still love it for massive clouds!

I got a bad taste with mine for the first sessions until I put a piece of cotton as a filter to avoid too much dust will go in the bamboo, taste is better but airflow is a bit restricted now....

I use it the most with a big can bubbler (inverted or connected with a whip, it depends), my bigger is the weedstar 12 trees for really big hits (and good lungs!) or the D020+ashcatcher (D020 alone is too small) or atomic perc+budget bubbler (my favorite!) and sometimes I like to use it dry too!

I don't use it a lot, maybe powered on 3 times per week for 2-4 elb's each time, although I can't imagine to sold it!

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I didn't have any 18mm glass when I got my Cloud so I pulled my LSV heater cover off and used it as a dry piece. Works fine and has a built in carb so those of you that don't remove your ELBs can just let off the carb and sit it down.

That is simultaneously hardcore and genius. Props, man.
