I was actually thinking of a 10mm for a simple portable one hitter approach.

Although the 18 is probably the most versatile in terms of usage... I'm thinking the power is good enough to do a tiny load.... If not maybe the vaporgenie oil pad could be used to tighten up air flow as filler... Would that work in this/Zion? Or would it fuck up the stem being able to fit properly?

What makes you think you need 10mm as a "one hitter"? Difficult to load and stir. The only benefit i can see of using a 10mm vs. 18mm is maybe for those who are concerned about using loads of around .1 grams vs. .05 or something. This is not something i care much about and rest assured that 18mm Zion tech still works swimmingly with small amounts ala .1 gram and maybe under

Edit. Also, going from 10mm to 18mm will really not make the unit any bigger anyway or only a negligible amount.

I only use about .05, and figured it wouldn't need to stirred and could be finished in one hit.

I don't think I've ever had an issue with loading any device.

I kinda worded my previous post a bit fucked up.

Pak has an early alpha with the 10mm stem (he calls it little bugger) and he has said there isn't enough air flow with it. I think the heater itself may be a limitation on shrinking the size too much, but more airflow is always better it seems to me. As long as the flow doesn't overwhelm the heater, and I DON'T think that is gonna happen with the Zion heater tech...

Yeah it limited airflow, didn't allow a screen to seat well, and made stirring and unloading more hassle, the 14mm that is. @HD Springer has the 10mm micro as a little one hitter but admitted its overall shortcomings...

The 18mm like in Zion allows bigger loads, but also tiny loads, any size, just a few crumbles? no problem turn up the dial and preheat lill it in one hit. Can get away without stirring even on a fuller pack, versatility is key. The 18mm allows for the most versatility (and the greater airflow allows this unit to be tuned hotter as well, so even easier to kill a load in one hit if anything)

It would be nice if there were some type of capsule(?) for lack of a better term, that could be pre loaded with your flower so you could carry a few, and just pop them in the 18.8 stem when you were ready for a puff. I'd imagine something like this could be made in 3 sizes. You could then carry the mod and one of the 2 liter pre blown tubes containing your stem and capsule loads. All pocketable and easy to use at a moments notice. Just thinking out loud.

Yeah, like vapexhale ELBs kinda, or just get a few shorty 18mm stems and keep em preloaded in a wallet...

Personally I'll probably just end up using the stock one with a jar of grounds as per usual

Those are excellent for so many things. Carrying a stem and a few ZtPCs (zion technology pre-load cartridges) would be a great use ;)

@doubledown here's where I've got along the lines of a short stem idea as @Shit Snacks suggested.
I bought a 'cheap as' 70mm 510 stainless drip tip and heatsink. I like the transition from the brass to wood plus I needed the little bit of extra diameter. Picked a random bit of wood drilled the hole to take the heatsink and ran a chisel over it so it looked 'real pretty'. Or at least a bit prettier for now.

So my plan is to put a 1:10 taper hole in the other end of the wood to take the 14mm end. If it looks like it will work then I would take the wooden sleeve right down to the 18mm shoulder on the new glass so it's only the 'bowl' that will be exposed glass. That way with the screen set to whatever load capacity I want I can carry a few pre-filled, with a rolling paper wrapped around the 18mm end to keep the load in place, and just swap out dead ones from the wooden piece.
Just trying out ideas as cheap as possible to see if it could work.

The guy who made it was going to add hands to the clock and was searching for a suitable button which is why it came up for me.
Imagine the TOD with this kind of indicator light on it.
Still not found a nice high amp button. I can find shorter but you gain in diameter.

Noticed that too PP I love the look of the Zion but I do prefer the single version that the guys at RBT are offering its that little bit smaller and more discreet, a real plus point for me. Hope to see these being shipped in the near future just hope they make it my way across the pond :nod:

Legs, toes, arms and fingers all crossed that we will see and here news from RBT. I can't see a problem with the overseas shipping there will be a work round to ensure we get them.
@anasrzi with you on the Zion. Even tho, right now, it doesn't fit my requirements the one in RBT's store looks great.
Discreet. I have a small airtight storage case that I put everything in and the single will fit it spot on. I know at a push and with some vapor punk tweaking I could fit a TOD in it. Battery life on the TOD has me re-thinking. I would have to seriously brutalize a Zion to get it to fit. Which has set me of again. Zion kit?? Perhaps with a TOD overdrive mode.
I've not got ZAS, honest, but I think I may have contracted OZD.

I do hope so I'd love to bring one to the uk peeps sure we could work something out as there will be many a taker for both these and the mighty Zion too, I think People are getting cold feet in the grasshopper with its problems (albeit not many issues truth be told, teething problems let's call them :rolleyes:)

Noticed something tho with the single version compared to the larger Zion big boy one, there isn't a compartment for storing your herbs on the go, I do like that little place to keep your ground matter safe and sound, got a no goo pot around the place so it's no biggie for keeping buds in there ;)

I believe it changed when the Zion increased. To be fair, I believe the original price was the beta price. This would lead me to believe it will rise yet again when it gets to full on production status.

You know you're going to need it to complete your collection :).

Oh yeah. I figured the first price hike was coming soon. Just thought I was going to grab it before it happened :doh:. Now I'll probably just wait to see the production model before I pull the trigger.

Nah. Its all good ;) I just waited too long. What's another $10? We've had a "disaster" of a week here (and I mean it) and I was off the grid for a few days. Priorities can change from VAS really quickly sometimes. I was just venting a little frustration as I was going to treat myself to the single and found I'd missed the blue light special.
