For how long can you get a refund?

Under Australian consumer law for the full length of the two year warranty if the product is not of merchantable quality.

My advice is to find a good retailer who will handle all of your warranty replacements for you and also pay your postage on both ends.

You were asked not post again without providing new information or a resolution. This post does neither, and the language used breaks our rule against attacking companies. Warning point issued.

S&B continue to ignore me. At this point I would love to get a refund and be done with this shit-show of product reliability and customer service.

Has anybody actually gotten a refund? Their policy as stated on their web page is:

1.7. No returns/no refunds: All sales are final. No refunds will be given after sale. No returns will be accepted.

I don't know the American laws and I'm not a lawyer but in Germany a company or reseller has to refund the full price if you want to return the unit after the 3rd warranty case.

Me. My retailer is fantastic and looks after me 110%.

I got totally slow rolled last night. Went to my mailbox and found a parcel key!! It wouldn't be the first time S&B has sent a replacement without bothering to let me know.

Opened the parcel box........ a fucking book my wife ordered.... BOOO!

This is why I pretty much only buy electronic vapes locally. The price is usually much higher, but the warranty is solid, and no hassle of having to send a used device through customs even if there were no issues with the company and their warranty service.

Wee, got the stamps.com notice of a package being sent so Crafty on its way back to me. Mighty is being delivered tomorrow to them, surprised they didn't wait to have both to save on return shipping. ;)

Must say 4 days with my bad unit to ship a new one is pretty weak for promised "expedited" return. Pretty sure it's coming back ground and not air as well.

But even with all that, I still want the damn thing, lol. The G Pro is in the trash now though, borrowed my buddy's Vapor Genie. Man, that thing is really great once you get the hang of the flame. Definitely picking one up as a non powered backup for when both of my S&Bs are down.

Get a refund on the Crafty if you feel it is not of merchantable quality. I get a refund when my unit goes back for warranty replacement.

You have good consumer protection laws in Australia. I don't think that is possible here in the USA as pointed out by perspectionist, of S&B policy here: All sales are final. No refunds will be given after sale. No returns will be accepted.

In some ways I feel like S&B rushed the Crafty/Mighty out into to market, and they are tweaking it as problems occur. I think they set the price point at a level where even if they did replace the units a few times they are still making a profit, cost accounting. And who knows how many are being returned as opposed to those who just keep it (despite malfunction). I wonder what percent of units break. I was very surprised when my Crafty just stopped working. I just did not expect it to happen so quickly.

I do give S&B props though for the way they dealt with my return. They responded to all my emails (in a timely manner) and they are sending my unit back (3 days for warranty service is not bad). Not sure if they fixed it or if I'm getting a new unit, we'll see. One thing they need to address is not answering the phone. I don't know many businesses that send their calls to an answering machine.

This is why I pretty much only buy electronic vapes locally. The price is usually much higher, but the warranty is solid, and no hassle of having to send a used device through customs even if there were no issues with the company and their warranty service.

I disagree, I've noticed that the local vape dealers here are not all authorized sellers. You should check with the vape company first. And also they usually don't have the up to date vapes (newest models), you don't know how long that Crafty/Mighty or any other vape has been sitting there. I buy my vapes from a trusted seller like Puffitup. You can trust puffitup, great customer service.

LOL, this has happened to me, you get your hopes up then what a f**king let down. Hopefully you'll hear something soon, mine was received Monday and I just got notice today that they're shipping it out.

Bickel & Storz told me that anyone that sells their product is an authorised retailer.

Following on from the mighty thread, I said I would post a few pics and go into a bit more detail about the easy flow adapter.

The top left pic shows the difference in thickness and length between the rails on the CU and the adapter, you can also see that the rail on the CU is on an angle and has a small notch in the middle (yellow arrow) this notch fits into a recess (red arrow) to lock the CU in place.

The bottom right pic you can see on the left side the lip starts thin and gets thicker as it goes round, when locking the adapter in you only want to twist it to the middle part (red arrow) as the thicker rail on the adapter will put too much pressure on the lip if you try and twist further than this, you will feel a natural stop/lock when it reaches this point so just remember not to twist further than this or it could cause damage, you can see in the top right pic how it should line up (green arrow) on the outside (same as the pic on vapefiends website)

There was a report on the mighty thread where someone has (I think) twisted the adapter too far and said that their case popped apart, now I don't know all the details like if anything cracked or if it was down the seam (kinda like being unscrewed) but think it's worth mentioning, as it could be easy to think it fits the same way as the CU.

Now a little about performance, I posted a nice milky shot on the last page (I think it was but too lazy to go back a page to check) now I have to come clean a little and say this took some effort to achieve (it is a small bubbler) basically I dryed my herb even more than normal (almost too dry) and packed that thing like never before (didn't weigh it but it was probably 3 times more than normal and I don't do half bowls) then set to max temp and let it heat soak a little, this gave a few monster hits that almost got the best of me (had to just sit for a few minutes, gone lol) and left lumps of resin (big lumps like 3mm x 5mm :o ) floating around and on the glass, my normal use is a full bowl (not tamped into a brick like above) and I get maybe 3/4 the density of my previous pic as I like to hit it fast and get that slap in the face feeling :ko:

So would I recommend it... Yes  is it better than a muzzmod... :worms: Depends on who you ask, where they live and what their looking for

I don't have a muzzmod (yet ) so can't do a comparison, i still only have my CU that came with my crafty but feel an order coming up.

And finally where to get it, and maybe save some £$€

For our friends down under...

And not forgetting vapefiend...

I spoke with them this week and got a couple discount codes, I checked and they said anyone can use them as they are already online somewhere if people look, I also checked to make sure I was allowed to post them here, they did mention something about a monthly limit (I guess to avoid abuse) so here you go enjoy...

420 This is if you spend £50 or more, it gets you £10 off (I have used this one before)

HI5 This is if you spend £10 or more, it gets you £5 off (Haven't tested this one yet)

But the way it works in Australia is that it doesn't matter if they are authorised or not according to the manufacturer. As retailers they have to honour the warranty themselves if they are selling the product.

Edit-Of course an authorised seller is much preferred, and good points about the age/versions of vapes.

So is the general amount of sessions for everyone 3-4?before the battery dies.
Yes for me. I usually charge after 3 sessions. The battery isn't dead, but after 3, when I turn it off I get a fast blinking blue light. That's close enough for me. I got caught once mid-session when the battery died and I won't let that happen again.

My sessions, which are about 4-5 draws at regular temp and then 3-4 more at boost lasting about 7 minutes, I can get 3 easily, 4 maybe but never 5.

So I charge after 3 or 4 depending. I have a pretty good idea if I'll get a full session or not on the next one.

I love mine. I know you'll be VERY happy. Unless you're loyal somewhere, I suggest you get it from Puff It Up and use the FC discount code. It's a real savings and those guys are great! And don't forget your accessories from @Ratchett !

Mine plugs into the wall and I don't recall a USB adapter. But maybe I'm wrong on this one...

To the FC staff and posters - my emotions got the best of me on my last post. My one sided dealings with S&B created much frustration.

But there is an update!

I tried one more E-mail to the company reitterating my request of "water damage" proof. I also asked for a refund if this could not be done.

3 days later, I recieved a "Storz Bickel has sent you a package" E-mail!!!

Tracking indicates that it will be delivered today.

Will it contain my broken Crafty :(?

Will it contain a repaired Crafty :)?

Will it contain a new Crafty ?

My fingers are crossed. Hopefully they will do the right thing.
