Hmm I still have the original version as far as I know, and had similar results for the most part, using the oil cans and later even Indica spacers for some larger, yet still not full, loads.
Haven't used it in a long while though since I'm all on demand convection these days...

HipVap customer service is still great though, sent me the new mouthpiece and other accessories to try for free, even resent them after the post office failed to deliver.

With the new pricing and everything else now, this seems to be overall a very solid stealth session conduction option, great for a joint smoker and/or group stealther.

Tried it out with two friends using the new mouthpiece, much better, cooler and more open too. And ofcourse water connection, used it through a straight tube bong with ice and it was a nice session at high temps after dry low temps. And new tool was able to scrape a lot of golden reclaim off the metal mouthpiece connection nub which was filthy from before...

So yeah solid stealth session vape, solid value

So I have been using my *NEW* HipVap, or updated if you will and I really enjoy it a lot. The new mouthpiece works great with watertools, water pipes, or just as a mouth piece.

I watch vapefiends videos, but I wouldn't personally read into what he says as sometimes he vapes sage and such so he usually vapes at higher temps. Also there may only have been a draws worth of material in the chamber, or he may not have been taking a draw. He loves the alfa so it will always be his go to and recommended vape.

I own all 3 and this is my personal opinion.

The tripper flask is a re-branded ismoke oven which is actually designed to put a cigarette into and snap the filter off. It does not work, but it does waste a TON of herb:goon:

The Alfa is a decent little portable if you like starting at high temps (374F) also the rotary dial can accidentally turn on in your pocket which is not cool at all.
I should also state that my first alfa bottom around the oven lid kept pulling apart from the unit. I thought they must have fixed this but I have seen other alfas do this as well.

The HipVap I start at 350F using the chamber, filling a pod, or putting just a pinch in then putting the pod on top of the material (without the silicone lid) to have a nice single session. I can start out at 350F and temp step it through a session to 380F and I have no problem getting taste or vapor.

I do agree I wish the HipVap had a celsius readout. I would also like to see a vibrating feature when it heats up and shuts off, but that isn't a deal breaker by any means. They just made a bunch of improvements and lowered the price!

IMPO the HipVap wins not only in taste, temperature, and vapor, but in price ($150) and customer service as well.

@Vape Dr. are those pods small enough to fit in the flowermate series of vapes or is the herb chamber too small?

I'm officially following this vape a bit, I'm liking what I'm reading so far. @HipVap very solid work with the videos.

Unfortunately as @Shit Snacks said they are too short and too wide for a FM but a slightly modified pinnacle bullet can fit in a FM.

The HipVap is very cool. It is super reliable, long battery life, digital, taste great for a conduction vape, so super simple to clean and the customer service is top notch!

The new WPA/MP is a very nice addition to the HipVap as well.

Appreciate the info guys! I wonder if the pod would fit in an Herbalizer chamber. Not that it would be necessary, but I'm always enjoying tinkering with setups.

Still using the HV as my portable of choice for easy carry and stealth vaping. Hard to beat for ease of use and cleaning. I've taken to adding a pod (without the lid) to pack down the bowl contents since I usually don't load a lot. It's a great way to downsize the bowl and make hits a little more dense.

Got Randy's email this am. I can get this guy for $126. VAS pecking at me as I wait on my new Zion. Should I take the dreaded leap once again?

The Zion seems to be a heavy hitter and full convection but not stealth at all.
The HipVap is a conduction vape, very stealth and more a sipper than something else (but as you can see with one of my previous pics it can milk your bubbler as well!)

Absolutly not the same beast even without ever trying a Zion!

Decide yourself my friend!

Yeah only if you need super stealth brave, and/or full temp control to try, and/or full session conduction to try, otherwise you're already covered with overall better performing units imo, though theyre different

It's soooo easy to palm the HV. You can walk around with it in your hand (ready for a hit any time) pretty much anywhere and the usual casual glance you get from strangers will never pick it up. And although big hits is obviously not the design goal, you can pack the wide bowl full and get some hits you can feel as well. I also can't think of a portable that's as easy to clean, and it doesn't require more than a brush out very often, unlike some other portables that have to use mouthpiece screens. Although the HV doesn't tempt me at home, vs. my AC options, it's what I pick up if I need a vape for portable use.

Randy carrying it at puffitup is another  for the design/performance, and makes for a great deal. Originally, my only complaint with it was the $200 price. Randy's price and service does away with that negative.

Man this vape looks sweet. 2 questions:
1. How exactly are people packing the bowl? It looks like they're putting a stopper of some sort on the bowl
before closing the lid.

2. Is the vapor path sealed? What is the oven and vapor path made of?

Thanks guys

Had an Air, its much more efficient but not as stealth basically, both are constant cookers though Air mixes some convection and this does not, much bigger bowl but spacer helps. Taste not as good here, but full temp control and some autoshutoff control, no replaceable batteries but longer warranty.

Yeah if you don't wanna pack full, you can half pack and hse upside down oil can as spacer, or they say silicone lid but I dono bout that. I've used an Indica spacer for medium loads as well. Vapor path seems to be all steel like oven, straight tube down

I own both Mr.dew.
Taste: AA if you're using glass mouthpiece..otherwise imo they are the same.
Portability: HipVap is more pant pocket friendly, the AA is longer.
Power: I like the fact the HipVap has a micro USB..I have so many cables and cords..plus the ability to charge via Xbox.
AA uses 18650's which is very handy, swap a batt and you're good to go..Battery's aren't too expensive.
Preparation: HipVap you just load up then power on..can handle concentrates as well.
AA is for flower mainly.
Cleaning: HipVap.. Brush and some ISO to scrub bowl chamber.
AA: depending on mouthpiece..soak in ISO or brush etc.
Features: HipVap.. Adjustable temp and shutoff timers.
AA: 4-5 preset temps(please correct if I'm wrong.

Both are winners in my book, hv is used more often.

Thanks guys, I have been in contact with Randy at Puffitup and will most likely put in a order.

What about battery life?? Are you guys getting close to what the manufacturer says?? 2.5 hrs?? That would quite a lot of 10 min sessions!

How was your Hipvap? I'm considering ordering one but i don't see to much reviews on it.
I dig it. I just bought a 5 pack of pods from Puff it Up for it. Any vape where I can have preloaded bowls is a huge plus. To me that is true portability, where you can change your bowl on the go easily. I use mine at 380 at 6, sometimes 7 mins. Good taste, heats quickly, very sturdy, fits good in your hand, reasonably priced and very easy to use and maintain. You can set your temp and your time which is a great feature I think. I did get a long battery life. I don't know the exact time but I'd say I've gone through at least 15-18 pods anywhere from 360-380 and 5-8 mins before recharging. It took a few hours to charge and no clue on if you can use it while charging. The bad is it runs hot after while like any other vape but not uncomfortable and I don't like the mouthpiece but I can deal with it. The Pinnacle water piece fits perfect on mine and works great. It is in my rotation and will stay in it for a while.
