I just got lucky... when looking for my first vape I wanted the GH but quickly realized that wasnt gunna happen so kept looking and I like having my options open. Happened to see the Haze at the headshop next to my job and thought it looked pretty cool so b4 making a decision made it my goal to find out what it is and just was sold on it... was pretty close to going with some iffy G-pen type thing and never knowing the Haze

Same. I was going to try and get the pax 2 and then realized the haze is a million times better. Removable battery, dual bowl, both dry herb and oil, convection and conduction. People keep trying to argue that other vapes are "better" but it all boils down to what you're looking for. If you're looking for a truly portable vape that can hold a lot of herb and last a long time if you're out and about, then the haze is for you. Plus you get the 10 year warranty and the amazing customer service, I don't know what else I could ask for.

*edit* I've had the haze v3 for a couple of days now and besides being a genius and taking the plastic off the 18650 battery like you're not supposed to, I have loved it. Great taste, and excellent vapor even at the lower levels. I haven't had a chance to try out any concentrates in it unfortunately.

The battery life is also amazing. I personally was skeptical because of the fact that you can't use the unit while it's charging it would cause problems but for 1 person 1 battery lasts me about 50-60 minutes of actual vape time. Which is a reaaalllly long time. Which for me was enough for 6 bowls (three in the cans with the stainless steel lids, and three with the convection screen.) I like the convection screen just a tiny bit more than the cans, but the cans are so handy and useful that I have nothing bad to say about them. If you're going to be sharing your vape with a lot of people then I highly recommend getting the extra batteries. For me the batteries take about 4 hours to charge once they're fully depleted so you don't want to be sitting there after sharing with a bunch of people and think "crap. I don't feel it very much and my vape is dead..." That is probably the single negative I can come up with. It's biggest selling point could also be a potential weakness (referring to the removable batteries here :p). Maybe haze could figure out some sort of pass through charging? But if you have the extra batteries odds are you'll never run out of juice. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to keeping my devics and their batteries charged. The valor quality does slightly degrade in relation to how discharged the battery is, but I expected that.

In terms of portable vapes I have used the Pax (versions 1 and 2), the firefly, the magic flight box, the mighty, the crafty, Vapir no2, puffit, iolite, and this shreds all of them without giving it a second thought. The Vapir no2 was my go to, besides it looking ridiculous I loved the effect it gave me but I can't stress enough how good this thing is. I was saving up for a pax and then a buddy of my roommates came over showing off his haze v2.5 and I fell in love with it immediately. I personally think the haze v3 beats all other portable vaporizers in terms of functionality, ease of use, portability, and effect it produces.

If any of you are skeptical about buying this vape then find a way to try one out yourself. Just try it one time and you'll see what I mean and how I'm not exaggerating in the slightest.

I did have one question about the unit for anyone that has the answer. In the oven there are two holes, one that leads to the mouthpiece and one that I refer to currently as "the pit of death". My question is if any little crumblies fall into the pit of death hole, how would I get them out? I'm worried that one day I'll be trying to remove a convection or conduction screen and I'll drop it which will cause all the abv to fall into the unprotected chamber and directly into the hole that it doesn't seem like I can access

Excellent question! I am a super klutz when it comes to removing the convection screens and wind up with ABV all over the place. I have been afraid to "fish" any crumbs out of the "pit of death" so I turn it over and blow gently to try and get them out. (BTW, ABV in the eye - not much fun). So...I await an official reply. I do not even like to let ISO get in there for fear of fucking up my oven.

I like to think I'm a fairly analytical person and that is the only foreseeable "problem" that I could run into. Maybe for a future design there could be a way to remove the metal oven if I wanted to get in there and clean stuff out (slight long shot but I'm trying to be helpful dammit). I would suggest a built in screen but that could be problematic because then if you break it you'll have to replace the whole thing, that was always my quarry with the magic flight launch box

I actually cut up a pipe screen to fit in the bottom of the oven chamber for when I use the convection screens. I dont use it all that often though because I find the convenience of the cans makes them my go to herb holder most of the time. Also when I empty the Haze after using convection screens I turn it upside down over my tray and use the tool to pull out the screen so every thing drops out of the unit and away from the pit of death.

Good suggesions from @rshetts .

I am not aware of an official solution other than 'be careful'!

I don't think the occasional drop is going to hurt anything but taking care while you empty and clean it would be a really good idea.

If it ever becomes problematic we would warranty this as this is normal usage. Not like the one I posted a few weeks ago. Speaking of we got another one in like that last week. I have no idea how that one was being used but I can assure you it was not as intended.

Will it still work properly if I cut up my conduction screens to create a "cover" for the "pit of death" on top of which I place my convection screens?

I really prefer convection screens to cans, so the risk of herb crumbles getting into that hole is real.

Just to clarify on that, so let's say I accidentally dropped a bunch of stuff in there through normal usage and over time it accumulated. Then let's say for shits and giggles that the oven stopped working properly because of the build up. Am I correct in the assumption that this would be covered under the warranty?

In over 3200 posts here I dont recall anyone posting about that particular issue so I doubt unless youre jamming herb right into the oven chamber, that its ever going to be a problem. That being said, Haze has been fantastic about addressing issues and quite honestly, has the best customer service Ive seen in the industry. If your particular scenario were to occur and your Haze doesnt look like it was completely abused when its returned, I would be amazed if they rejected your warranty. They really seem to take customer service seriously and would probably rather replace the unit, than engender ill will with a customer. Since youre talking hypotheticals here, I doubt even Scott could give you that 100% answer youre looking for but as I said I doubt they would reject the return unless your Haze looked like it was abused.

Yes...again basically what @rshetts said. We can tell the difference from abuse/neglect and normal wear and tear. We aren't out there to screw anyone so don't worry about all that. We want happy Haze owners and if we need to open up a unit here and there to clean it out and potentially replace some parts we aren't going to split hairs. If it comes back caked with crap like some of them do.....well that's a different story.

and yes @woolspinner as long as you can maintain airflow through the hole of death you should be just fine laying a screen over it.

I was mainly giving Scott another opportunity to show how great their customer service is by suggesting that hypothetical. I also like to try and cover all my bases, so please excuse me if my posts seem redundant or unnecessary. I have no doubt that if anything ever went wrong with the unit and it wasn't just me being foolish, then it would be covered :p

Kudos to Scott on helping get me an RMA (Scott, sending it in this week, was back in the hospital for some follow up stuff.)

Wanted to provide one tiny little tip I learned with my 2.5: If the glass mouthpiece is sticking or you just want an easy safe way to pull it out, I've found that sliding the brush end of the little cleaner tool they send you into the glass mouthpiece, then pulling it up, will generally pull the mouthpiece up with. Easy and safe and I usually have that little tool next to me when using my Haze anyway.

I just have to give a s/o to everyone involved with the Haze thread and rightly so to @scottg402.

I'm patiently waiting for certain vapes to get ironed out with their issues. Every time I read those threads I'm am very tempted to cancel them because there's so much anticipation and initial disappointments (and lots of hostility).

I have to finish my FC browsing in this thread as a safe zone.

So, those enjoying your Haze vapes, cheers! Stay Hazey :peace:

My V3 has been sitting at home for a while as I have been travelling. I should be able to get to it early next week and open the package for the first time. I am super excited with all this info you guys have been sharing. I really enjoyed this vaporizer from the beginning and being one of the earliest adapters of Haze, I experienced first hand, all great additions to each version. I will use the new V3 extensively and share my experience here with all of my FC friends.

For those that have even the slightest bit of doubt about the customer service: My order from haze directly had one minor error when I received it. Instead of the two dry herb cans I was sent the 5 pack of oil wicks (very minor mistake) so I messaged Scott and I'm now getting a free keychain accessory. The point of that is not to hope for free shit, but the point I'm trying to make is that they have the customer in mind, so many companies focus solely on profit. They've got the mind set of "oh... Well we messed up... Let's fix the issue and sweeten the deal a bit." IMHO that is the exact thing a company should do and that's what is going to make haze continue to be successful.
