I tried it in a dark room. You can wrap your hand around it like smoking a cigarette "military-style", that helps a bit. But the LED shines trough the gaps between the closed fingers and it's not very comfortable.
The Light is not a big issue for me. But a stealth-mode would be a nice to have.

I don't necessarily plan on bringing and using this in the movie theater, but I think the idea of having the possibility to go full stealth, save the smell, is a great one. Sometimes my college has movie nights outside. No staff around but I wouldn't want people asking questions either, that would be the perfect situation. After all, all I have is a pen in my pocket
Rather than a sock, if you have eyeglasses or are like me and really really like to keep your computer screen dust free, a microfiber cloth to wrap around the device? I don't know if oils from our fingers leave prints on the device, though if it does I will certainly be using the microfiber just to wipe it down.
Edit: Also the skirt seems like a hilariously wonderful idea. 1 thing, the light would probably then be directed up or down depending on which way it's facing. Possibly a flashlight effect.... But then our Grasshopper is a flashlight!

Inhalater has a nice bright LED on it, as well. From 10 feet away it would cast an 8x10' light on a warehouse wall. Covering it with electrical tape helped, but kinda sucked that you couldn't tell settings and such without being able to see the light.
The skirt idea sounds dandy - enough to focus the light without blocking airflow.

I can't remember whose idea it was, but this might do the trick. I bet the light is reduced nearly 90% with this... but I have a feeling the airflow will be reduced significantly too... BUT that being said it should work. Just need to measure the hopper to get the right sized ring

maybe GHL could mod the firmware to engage a "stealth mode" by holding the clicker down for a few seconds while turning it on? I can't imagine what else could do it in version 1.0 since it utilizes a one button operation. (I remember a thread a long time ago about how they couldn't figure out a good "battery low" indicator with only the one l.e.d. light that has just 2 colors.)
But like others have said: so many people use a vape pen now, and they all have an l.e.d. Sometimes the best way to hide is in plain sight.

Not trying to hijack the grasshopper thread or anything, but while your on the topic of vaping in the theater I thought I'd just throw this out there for anyone unfamiliar with the product.
If you want to vape in the movie theater absolutely nothing is more stealthy and discrete than the mystabis inhaler.

I am not sure that is a good thing to be doing with working capital. If they see massive refunds, then what? After two or three years or whatever they probably should have worked this stuff out already.

I can't wait for more people to get their hopper and report on it. This thread has like 4 main topics in it shipping times/bad communication, hopper problems, how great the hopper is when there's no problem with it, and how to hide the led so you can vape in stealth mode.
