Hey guys, quick question in the thread which I did try to search for and find but couldnt find what I was looking for.

I am very interested in getting a portable flower vape again but I usually only end up using them with waterpipes. I owned the original solo with pvhes gong stems but it seemed to lack in vapor production when paired with glass even when compared to my pax that i rigged with an adapter. I wasnt expecting it to be like my evo but all I could get was thin vapor that wasnt satisfying.

When searching through this thread I noticed a few people had used the air with pvhes stems and was able to white wall the glass and also noted that the restriction seeemed to be reduced signifigantly compared to the solo.

Could anyone here that loves their air and owns gong adapters post a video of them running the air through a waterpipe at the highest temp? I have a heavy desire to see how thick the vapor gets before I pull the trigger on buying one.

Thank you and much appreciated!

Your problem was buying the High Efficiency GonG. The notches introduce fresh air into the flower and vapor path, and will dilute the vapor. You want to get a GonG without any of the notches or channels on the side. I'm able to whitewall my pieces with my Solo at 7 and a stock straight stem. But then again I don't have huge tubes. The black tip stems that come with the Air fit into 14mm joints, by the way.

Here's an old video from way back where it was ran at max temp: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-30#post-700261

I have some pvhes including the gong... If you pack the herb tighter it should be fine in my experience.

Beside from herb quality, dry is everything, in my personal experience. I went through great pains to dry properly during the super humid summer we had on Long Island. Once I figured out to dry (not overdry), just right, my AA became a super star once again. Humidity has lifted here making it that much easier.

I like to leave a few small buds out for a bit. If it's humid, I put near my lamp bulb a few a half an hour (not too close). Bud gets dried out a bit and will grind nicely in a medtainer (gets it just right), and requires so little effort to grind (no binding at all really). You can feel the dryness of the herb as it shreds easily. Don't worry about getting it to a fine powder, although that would vape well. Medium grind is fine, but DRY, DRY, DRY.

Hardly any resistance, about 20-ish nice hits per stem, sometimes almost 2 full sessions (10 minutes each), and even burned ABV (fine grind tends to be less even). And I don't even have to stir!

Ok. I got a few nice buds today. Better than usual. Not too dry but not damp either. Grind them well with my SpaceCase grinder. Since I don't have desk lamp I put the ground material on some glass plate and then on a frying pan on lowest heat. In less than 15 it became visibly dry but not baked or anything. Crushed the remaining bigger chunks with my fingers and loaded first stem. You guys were absolutely right. Even on "white" my AA produced much more vapour and on 'green' I had clouds I've never seen from this device. Two loads and I'm done.

Of course I'm not high or anything. As I've said before, I never get high due to the high tolerance which is sad.

And wait... my mouth feels strange :\... I think my implants have grown much bigger. :brow:

Voltage is not your problem, but as @TomC1315 said its probably your herb.
May be too moist or just one of those strains that likes more heat.

What a funny word - "Voltage" .... :) funniest I've ever heard I think ... VOL-TA-GE... I can't stop laughing and I don't know why...

A good vaporizer for a road trip with the extra batteries that gives you the freedom to go cordless. You can buy as many batteries as you think that you will need. I go with the specialized batteries that are strictly for the Air. I do use a Nitecore to charge the batteries. I got the one with the car charger. It's about $15 cheaper than the Arizer charger.

It's small enough that it doesn't draw attention and gives your herb a nice flavor, with its all glass air path. Whether you need to medicate on the go or you feel like curling up on the couch watching TV the Air is a handy unit to have around.

Does anyone try other herbs with this vaporizer or mix them together?
i still have a bit peppermint and citrusgrass in my storage =) but dont know how good flovering was, because in the past i didnt have any vaporizer with tempcontrol (the flovering wassnt that good).
Maybe someone has a good mix recipe?

Try regular herb. There's a botanical thread on FC you might want to check out. Whatever works for you. Read up on what's best before you try it out. This vape you could use reg herb or cannabis. You don't want something that might burn your lungs. Some herbs can be strong. You will want to check out temperatures.

thank you, i will check this out.
was the solo eventually better for some herbs because of the low temperature level? i see that some herbs only need around 130°C (citrusgrass i mentioned before), but sure i will test this out when my lovely air was arrive:).

i test the citrusgrass in the wispr2 but this device is fixed @210°C and i think it was little too hot for this herb (and it has very poor clouds and the taste was though not good.

I also found a list for herbs for anybody who interested:
http://vaporizer-info.com/en/vaporizing-temperatures

but i think there was of course more herbs to vapor:)

p.s.: @CarolKing what do you mean with "reg" herb?

Peppermint has its vape temps at around 140C (IIRC!)- the air starts at 180C. So you won't have much fun with it.
You can try thyme and sage e.g. They're good up to 190C.

ah ok, thanks for clarify:), im not a "us people" so some acronyms are new to me or not always visible :D.
Sure my main focus will be the herbs that most of the FC users put in there vapos:leaf::nod:
i want test to mix them to get (better?) other forms of flavor from my vapor, but i think i will test the reg herbs without mixing first.
and of course, just for fun:) (but i think some herbs can have a slight effect, such as damiana)
Long time ago i have try´d damiana to smoke but after a whole time i vaporize this with a friend and it gets much better effect than smoking. (sure nothing is like cannabis:D)

p.s.: i know totaly OT but has anyone seen this great bloodmoon tonight? i live in a village with few peoples and not many streetlights and it was totaly awesome:). would be nice if i have celebrate this with my arizer, but its still on the way..

All of a sudden my charger seems to have flaked. It's working at the moment, but the Air's LEDs keep going off while the charger is plugged in. Frustrating.

Have you tried using a different battery?

Don't have one. Also, the charger seems to short when I handle my Air while it charges. EDIT: It actually turned on by itself at least once last night, too, while I was handling it as it charged. Which seems like a strange thing to happen if my problem is a short in the charger.

how long do you have your arizer air? its very annoying:(
is it the original charger(and battery) for the air? any chance to get this back to warranty?

I have had it for about two months. I haven't really figured out how annoying it is because this just started happening last night. Everything is original.

No, but thanks for the tip. Maybe someone I know has one (and knows what to do with it). I'll start asking around.

EDIT (2:04 EDT): Now I can't get it to charge at all.
