Does anyone keep their underdog atop an inverted stem for longer than the length of their draw time? I've never tried or fear of burning or wasting my herb through the glass or steel tips getting too hot. Am I being silly in this? The lazy part of me would like to just leave the solo in place, but the frugal part of me doesn't want to waste even a little bit of material trying it out for myself.

No not inverted, too easy to break IMO not worried about wasting herb as much as I don't want to tip anything. (Ie: roommate trips on cord, pulls whole bing over)
If I use direct draw, I do sometimes invert my stem and just leave it on. So I grab the underdog and inhale from the top, it stays right side up. Works better taking it off between hits though. I do feel like it cooks the herb doing this but I primarily do it with my Eds TNT stems which are metal bushings, so conducts heat more than glass would. Using a SS tip stem I just take it off between hit.

Probably didn't miss out on much since it was a couple bulk lots of over 100 pieces and we weren't splitting it up. If you want to get DIY stuff message Underdogette and she can send you some links to eBay.
I'm sure people do it but it's really not recommended.. you'll waste a lot of actives out of your herb as the stem starts to pick up heat and conduct it to the load.

I spent some time buddering them all up 
no flash on a lot of them although I feel it makes it pop. Here we go
My bathroom gets the best light and with the flash, this is the custom piece I ordered the Amobyna Burl Bullet This doesn't do it justice, magnificent piece. Some crazy voids and some awesome eyes and burls and just grain lines seriously I can't love it enough.
Here is the Amboyna again.
Here is the Bocote Air core, some fantastic lines and its such a solid piece of wood. Lovei t a lot Thing looks magnificent as well.

I used flash here and had some good light, just felt like this picture really popped and showed off all three of those guys, but really pictures can't do them justice lol, seriously some fantastic looking stuff.

If Underdog put out a calendar every year with 12 top dogs I would definitely pick one up haha. I cannot ever get tired of seeing beautiful dogs in the wild.
Hope these last few days of the underdog birthday sale keeps @underdog and @underdogette busy pumping out these one of a kind dogs, so we all have more wonderful pictures of the dogs.

@Angryman I definitely agree kinda like a wood log encyclopedia. This would save people a lot of time hunting for the right blank, and probably save @underdogette @Snappo and everyone else a lot of typing. Maybe if I find time at work today I can come up with some ideas. If anyone has input definitely pm any thoughts and ideas.

Something I was fiddling with, but my custom dog runs pretty hot not a bad thing though! I managed to get concentrates, but I wants to play with the new toys too.
So I cut a piece of a Mighty liquid pad and just rolled it into the size of the SS tip. Load concentrates on it and I can vape away
