Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I think the biggest drawback to official Chinese produced hydratubes would be in being associated with the lesser quality.

I have 2 Chinese pieces and while there are no obvious problems that I noticed (like others have posted,) you can tell the quality of the glass is less than that of the HT's I have made by Swagger & SSFG. I detect a yellowish tint to the glass and the joints are clunky. Basically the Chinese glass looks like someone designed and constructed them to be "good enough," not to be "good."

If VXL were to offer cheap Chinese HT's they would have to be very careful when it comes to the quality of them. It may be more trouble than it's worth, particularly when considering the potential hit the company might take in the perception of endorsing and offering what is actually lesser quality merchandise.

My criticism of the current HT lineup is that there isn't that much variety. The HT's all look the same and cost the same. The website could do a bit more to sell them... demo videos to show the perc action, a better description of what the different percs do and what they are for would help to sell them. Also, there are pics of HT's that are no longer available. That has to hurt sales a bit when someone sees that SSFG inline as the main HT pic, but then it is nowhere to be found. I realize that VXL is not a glass shop, but maybe have a "Hall of Fame" area for retired HT's with a place to be placed on a mailing list to express interest if certain retired pieces were to be produced again. I don't know how many pieces need to be ordered to get them produced, but I know personally I would have signed up for a couple pieces if they were to be available.

On that note, I got my fake Devastator today. (I ordered it because I know the likelihood that I will ever get my hands on a real one is slim. This gives me a bit of an idea on what I missed out on by getting to the vape party late.

some of the places around here are like 100% chinese XD

If I didn't want to wait on e packet I could just take a 2 hour drive to Venice... They seem to be fairly priced @ 10-20 dollar mark ups from wholesale.

And.. :cool:Today was payday! Gonna order the fc mod, and some adapters from Stevie. Also wanted to buy a piece at a local headshop while waiting. I'm interested in two makes, Anyone have any work by either black sheep(its a double shower head bubbler) or
black market( hexagon base :luv: )?

Around a month or so ago I took a trip to a shop I hadn't been to before. Plenty of glass, including a newly arrived stash of dhgate stuff, but of course at 4x$. Even so, significantly cheaper than the other glass. I didn't pick anything up then. But today I went back to the shop and bought one of the two pieces that would have worked easily with my nano. I looked it up when I got home and this piece is labeled "Cheapest bubbler hand blown pipe ..." No neat name. Yes low cost for shop owner. Not for me.

First water hits in a super long time for me, so I have no clue as to what is good and what is not, aside from what I read about here. But this "greatest cheapest bubbler ..." worked really well with my nano. I'm a virtual newby to glass but this was simple and productive. So I'm classifying it as good.

Those who have or had the original Devastator... Did the increased size provide for stability when the Cloud was inserted (I believe that the EVO is lighter from what I hear.)

One thing I noticed is that while it is fine when alone, when I insert my EVO it definetly pulls to the side. I find that the bend below the mouthpiece is a nice notch to grab with a finger.

Anyone know of any online shops that sell stevenlmz's wares and ship from the US?

Thinking I'll order the fc-mod once they release the diffusion perk. Wish it were larger though, looks a little unstable with the vxl in position.

I hope this isn't the beginning of syndrome. But now that I actually have a wt, I can pick up a little better idea of what's going on inside, and how the piece I picked up yesterday doesn't make much sense to me. Why is the diffuser set apart from the water chamber? I guess the theory is water condition first then diffuse second? It seems to makes more sense to do both in the same process like the D020 models. With this piece, if the bottom chamber isn't filled all the way, the water level drops when being hit on, which allows some vapor to shoot to the diffuser chamber without hitting the water first. I got a couple of really nice hits milking the top chamber when the water chamber was not filled to the top. When I saw that perhaps some vapor was escaping the water path, I filled it up a little more. Then my next hit was a little more sluggish and less productive. But that was my fourth hit and that's way beyond my normal capacity. I'll try again in a little while, a little fresher than I was last night.

Any explanation as to why the two conditioning techniques (water coditioning, diffuising) are separated out with this piece? Feel free to point me to some posts if this horse has been beaten, as I'm guessing it has.

If the piece you've got is the same as the one here, then I think it's just a poor design. Some of these Chinese pieces don't have too much thought behind them.

I wasn't going to respond but I think the PNWT and knock offs are lame!

There are many lame ideals like religion their man made.

I like the D style bubblers because their the perfect size for vaporizing!

This is only my option and not empirically verified!

That pic it's the only time you'll see it clean IMHO. Just that is a no, for me.
Does that swirl add anything? Probably not. Some vapor goes there, some doesn't.

This is a pnwt kncock off?
(I'm new at WTs. Hit a small load light at 6.5 on the e-nano for this.)

Notice no water in the upper chamber before I started, then ended up with a nice puddle in there. This affects the technique needed on subsequent hits.

Look, like I said, from a consumer's point of view, I understand what you guys are doing. If I could get something reasonably similar for cheaper, I would do the same. I'm only biased here because I have a lot personally invested in this and something like this sets a precedence for anyone else that wants to do the same thing. We are required to send a cease and desist letter to anyone we know that violates our patent because if we don't, we lose our patent. Unfortunately, this just runs up legal fees for basically what results in a net zero scenario and unfortunately, the only people who profit are the attorneys.

I guess that's the cost of doing business but what we will do is work hard to bring down the price of Hydratubes. Perhaps people are ready for Chinese made Hydratubes and we will ditch our American only philosophy. We will collect more data before making a decision as that is something that we have been very proud of but we don't make our money on the EVO, we make it on the glass and if counterfeit glass takes that market away from us, then this company will require another business model to evolve with this new situation. I would have much rather this be because a worthy adversary created a product that delivered the same experience of the EVO at a cheaper price but if the end result are cheaper Hydratubes of comparable quality, then everyone wins.

I have to weigh my two cents in here. Long time eve fan. always rep it as the best vape to everyone. customer service is amazing. getting all the disclaimer fan shit out of the way. but i have to separate you as a vape company and a glass company.

As a vape, the quality of the product is the reason this could never happen other then the next innovation in technology. can't create products of this caliber with the quality controls when dealing with a technical product.

but as a glass company I have issue, with even the basis of the hydrate patent. I understand the novelty aspect you'd hit, and the useful aspect, but non-obvious? The concept of glass with the female open on the bottom isn't exactly unthinkable. I usually lean towards the side of protection of inventor over societal progression of technology on the patent issue, but this one is a little limiting. Maybe a specific combination of perc/shape in your hydratube, but i would definitely argue against the issuing of the patent itself depending on how broad it gets. either way, good luck dealing with jurisdiction issues dealing with patent in china. I really hope your business model isn't so glass focused that if this becomes damaging to your development of vape technology.

That's not a very good design. Empty all the water out of the bottom chamber. Fill it as high as you can in the top chamber, without getting a drink of water. Pull softly as well, so you can raise the water level a tad. Overall that is just a bad design the perc is too close
to the mouthpiece. Try what i suggested, and should work better! Water should be in the upper chamber not the bottom. Fill it about halfway and remember test to make sure you don't drink

Got my fc mod today and i really like it but to me it has a flaw and it might just be on mine..the matrix perc sits on the bottom of the can and when a vape is inserted it will tilt the downstem one way or another..ita almost to long for the can and the ashcatcher..and it gets tilted and was hitting it and the ash catcher filled up nice but it was as if the way the matrix was tilted the vapor would almost shoot straight up the mp in bursts?it looked really weird in the mirror..its as if the vapor never went through the water in the can??but when i straightened the diwnstem then both filled up nicely with vapor and it seemed to work..

I was just about to order that, can you tell me more and does anyone else have this problem? Am I correct in thinking the perc should not touch the bottom at all? Did you get the shower head also and does it have the same problem? Besides this problem how does everything else look and fit together and how is the stability?

Anyone else have credit info stolen and used recently after a Dhgate purchase?

Not sure if they have anything to do with it but just had to cancel my cc after a few k fraudulent charge a day after my purchase. Prepay cards for DH purchases from here on out. Hearing similar stories from a couple others but could be coincidence...

Hi guys still need help

Well I have a $20 coupon from dhgate because the water tool I ordered never got to me. I bought it from sunshine store who is usually so reliable but this time it just did not work.

So here I am again asking all you great members what is good for a mom who wants this small but needs some diffusion. I know some of you may be rolling your eyes thinking "LIMOM didn't we just go thru this with you?" And that answer would be - yes we already went over this. But I can't remember what was recommended and it looks like there are even more to chose from.

And how do you find a particular seller on the site?

Still confused in Long Islanf
