So i have been reading the page for along time and have never commented so here we go.
I was wondering on the wait time on the pay it forward program? How long did it take y'all to see that your vape is being shipped to you?
I am probably just horribly impatient and have to much love for the haze.

My PIF was paid up on August 31. I'm hoping there will be a v3.0 stealth black in stock sometime soon.

I paid my PIF a long time ago and sent my unit in a bit ago. So i have nothing to medicate with and am just waiting for one to be shipped to me. I know Haze is out of stealth black but i ordered purple.

How does the Haze convection screen work? Does it really keep your herb from being wasted between hits (or between sessions)?

If I get the haze and use the convection screen, does that mean I can take a hit or two, leave the device alone for a few hours, and then come back to finish the bowl? Or will it still waste my herb like a conduction vape?

I have used the convection screens with success over a friday and saturday night, and then had clouds the next friday. I absolutely think you can leave it and come back.

What if you turn the device off, then take a couple more long hits to cool down the chamber? Will it then preserve the weed between sessions? I'm more of an intermittent vaper; I don't typically do a whole bowl in one session. Do any of you use the Haze that way?

absolutely yes.

Also what about water attachments? I see that Haze sells their own wood adapter but are there any glass versions out there?

ScottG probably could tell you. Look at past posts and you will see many different water attachment set uo videos and photos.

Enjoy!

Vapor being produce on standby is not a proof of conduction by itself I would think. For conduction to happens the surface must be heating the herb like burgers on a fry pan while convection is like a chicken in an oven (even if the chicken stand on a grill or plate). If you let the haze on standby, it's possible that it was the air around it that got hot enough to produce vapor (vaporize the cannabinoid). If it's the hair around it that get hot enough for vaporization on standby, then it's still convection (but it is somewhat lost vapor since you're not sipping on it).

Anybody knows if the Haze is 100% convection or not (with the convection screen of course)?

If it is, how does the convection mode do with small quantity of herb (below 0.05g) and efficiency? How does it compares to the elevape (or e-nano, just for comparaison since i'm looking for a full convection portable vaporizer)?

I do vey small packs and it works great. Incredible efficiency.

Right now Ed is working on it but you can't rush a good thing.

Best off the shelf option I recommend at the moment is @Ratchett 's SonG. Otherwise there are a million whip and/or homemade options.

And for the record I screwed up on @Juleslee21 order. I was helping process orders for returns on Wednesday. There were two purple RMA's in a row and I got distracted and picked up on the wrong place. I feel terrible but I'm processing the order tonight to make sure it goes tomorrow! So sorry Jules!

@Micke on the other hand is waiting on black which is a real challenge right now. I'm trying to figure something out there!?!?

Update on colors, we can offer purple, blue and green right now for upgrades. If you haven't upgraded yet and you want one of those colors, hit me up. I'll personally process your order.

We are getting short on green right now too. I'm really digging that color actually and might pick one up for myself. :)

So, I have had my Haze V2.5 since early August and have loved it. Primarily use convection and very small loads for flower, and experimenting with wax/oils. Usually low temps, 2 or 3, with excellent taste and remarkabe efficiency. Always try to keep it horizontal.

The only problem I experienced was sticky MP, so stopped storing it inside the unit.

I debated long and hard about whether to do the PIF program with such a new unit. I finally figured it would be worth it for the MP changes alone. So I pulled the trigger early this week. Amy and Scott were great, even allowing me to place the new unit on my credit card so I do not need to send in my V2.5 until I recieve the V3 and confirm its operational. Then, once I send the v2.5 back, Haze will credit back my credit card for the v3 purchase. What amazing customer service!

Fast forward to today (friday). USPS tracking says my v3 should be delivered today, so I am on pins and needles like a kid at Christmas! Anxious to try out my new unit tonight and this weekend. Hopefully, it willbe delivered as scheduled, along wiht the XL batteries, extra cans and case that I ordered. I also just got a better look at the inside of the keychain on this thread and kick myself for not ordering that while I had the chance. (Haze shouls have pictures of the keychain inside on their website). I guess I will have to do another order for that.

I will post asbout the v3 once get a chance to break it in. Hopefully, it will be great like the v2.5, only better.

Btw, I never did a burn in on my v2.5 and do not plan to do so with my v3. I never had a problem and think it is asking for trouble to activate without anything for the heat to disipate into. I also fail to understand why nyone would risk going with anything other than genuine Haze batteries. Why rrisk it?

Have a great weekend everyone, Friday is here!

@scottg402 , Your attention to customer service and to loyal FC thread participants is excellent, IMHO! Thank you very much for your pm. I thought I would discuss colors in the thread instead of pm in case it is of interest to others who may also be holding out for stealth black for similar reasons.

Some questions I have:

1.) In the v3.0, are any of the colors more or less durable under ISO cleaning? In other words, are some painted or coated whereas some have the color cast into the composite? Or will all v3 colors be equally durable regarding cleaning and heat?

2.) Is the dark blue a unique color to the v3.0 or were those also made in v2.5? I guess you can see where I'm leaning there. :D

Thanks again!

Hi Micke,

Question #1- No difference. All V3's are made from a different material than the V2.5 and are resistant to ISO regardless of the color you choose.

Question #2- Same from V2.5 to V3.

I'm also waiting for a V3 after my 2.5 started to shut off under sessions. Scott took care of the problem only minutes after I sent him a PM. And I live on the other fucking side of the planet, so even just getting an answear that quick is awesome :D

He didn't want to leave me vapeless so he decided to ship me a V3 in advance. Now THAT's what I call trust!! Ofcourse they credited me for the V3 until they recieve my 2.5 ;) That trust is much appreciated as my Haze really means a lot to me, it's keeping me of stronger medication. It has also been helping me to completely quit nicotine in all forms ;)

I want to thank everyone at Haze Tech, and especially Scott! You have a customer for life.

My V3 is chilling in Miami. Only problem is that im not there with it, chillin' ;) 8-)

What I meant to ask ean was; were do you live/order to?

What? Still in Miami? WTF USPS?

Thanks Duck but it's really no sweat. I love what I do and I love helping people (especially my FC Family).

I don't want to give it away where Ean lives but he's in the northern US and the state he lives in holds a special place in my heart. :)

Ok just got it and used my fully charged battery i had from the old one. Started off on temp 2 with the new cans and stainless lid. I started heating it up put it down for what seemed like 30 seconds and it was ready.I was used to the old versions, and didn't expect much when i first hit it, but to my surprise i had nice vapor off level 2.
i continues for a few more hits and ramped it up to 4 and put my mighty 14mm adapter on it and it milked my water piece out like a champ. I am very impressed guys i cannot wait to use this more, especially when i send my mighty out. Great job guys.

EDIT: I didnt even mention how much sturdier it feels and how great the new inside looks. The overall feel is just more sturdy all around and me likey.

@duckTape I live in the ohioish area maybe a little more north. I sent my
malfunctioning v2.5 on the 16th and got my new v3 today. It shipped out on the 22nd.

So I received my PIF v3 yesterday as expected. USPS did a great job of delivering by friday in WA when it left GA on Wednesday order.

You may recall from my previous post that Haze allowed me to keep my v2.5 pending receipt of my v3 by giving them a credit card number to charge until they received my v2.5. My v2.5 is all boxed up and ready to go. I am only waiting to send back pending some issues with the v3.

Tested out the v3 last night with a little Tangerine Dream oil in a can, and a little flower inconvection. I will not unduly repeat what has already been posted. The blue unit looks great and is sturdy. I love the new lids. I did not do a burn in as I do not think it is good idea to heat it up without content to disipate heat.

Started with oil on 3, and got nice clouds. Taste was a little heavy though. Kept going until I decided to try the flower. This is when i noticed some issues:

1. The Unit kept turning off despite contnued use. I thought this was my Hazed mind forgetting the time, but it regularly turned off after about three minutes, even if I kept using it. I did not think it would be an overheating issue since I was on 3, and the battery was fully charged from overnight (using the battery from my v2.5 that had been charging and just removed from the charger). This is not such a huge problem because you can just turn it back on with the switch, but it started to become irritating as the night contiunued.

2. When you switch from one chamber to the other, the heating display continues to display solid, even though the other chamber had not yet been heated. This requires another cycling of the heating button to get it to heat up. Not sure if this is still a design flaw (it was mentioned many posts ago by someone about the v2.5) or a problem with my unit.

I am pretty happy with the v3, but will PM Scott about the issues to check if there is a defect before I send the v2.5 back,

I have now finished reading through the entire string of posts and am so pleased to be a part of FC. I agree that Ed needs to come up with the wooden MP for the v3. But I am glad to now be able to try the glass MP today. I never tried it with the v2.5 because I did not want to risk breaking it if the MP got stuck like the SS one did frequently. I look forward to reporting on it later.

Also received my accessories I ordered. The Haze leather case is fabulous! Really nice set up, with room for the extra batteries I ordered, the utensils, and the unit itself. I am really kicking myself for not getting the keychain holder now that I have the case, as that would fit well, and would complete the setup with a holder for the cans and screens. I also want to get some more of the new silicone lids. Looks like I need to order something more . . .

Many thanks to ScottG, Amy, Emily and the entire Haze family for making such a great product and fabulous customer service.
